Do you all really think there will be 100 songs? Thats a lot even with lots of medleys. Thought maybe he could have been exaggerating (humorously). Anyway, it sure will be fun to find out. No way I'm going to try to do all 100, but

K'Andre, girl, I'm impressed. So, I'll just try to do my best guess of 10 to 24, and they're not in any particular order.

I think a rockin" Old Time Rock n Roll / Bob Seger would be a great way to open the show.

Old Time Rock and Roll - Bob Seger

BOTW- Simon and Garfunkel

You Send Me -

Chain Gang - Sam Cooke

Hold Me Thrill Me Kiss Me - Mel Carter

Jail House Rock-

Can't Help Falling in Love-

All Shook Up- Elvis

Crying- Roy Orbison

Unchained Melody- Righteous Bros

That'll Be the Day- Buddy Holly

My Girl-

Stand by Me-

I Can't Help Myself - Motown

Country Roads - John Denver

Boogie Woogie Bugleboy- Andrew Sister (by backups)

In the Still Of the Night -

Good Night Sweeheart - DooWop

Long and Winding Road-

She Loves You-

Something - The Beatles

Don't let the Sun Go

Down on Me - Elton John

Invisible-

The Way-

Well, I did go back and delete some to get my 24. I have to admit anything from

mid-seventies through 90's my mind is a little blank. This will be fun to watch.

pokes ansa to put her selections up

Once we get a certain arbitary number of posts a poll shall go up! I will probably make it overly complicated but it shall be semi-scientific if you make wild leaps regarding definitions.

I posted some song wishes on Best of Clay a while ago... here's my list:

1950's - Hold Me Thrill Me Kiss Me, Dream Lover, Unchained Melody, In the Still of the Night, Put Your Head on My Shoulder

1960's - The Way You Look Tonight, Roses are Red by Bobby Vinton, When a Man Loves a Woman, Mrs. Robinson (not really, but wouldn't that be funny? )

1970's - Superstition by Stevie Wonder (I think he'd do an interesting version of this), Some Kind of Wonderful

1980's - anything by Billy Joel, Every Little Thing She Does is Magic by The Police, Broken Wings by Mr. Mister, Higher Love by Steve Winwood,

1990's - Can't Stop This Thing We Started by Bryan Adams, Place in This World by Michael W. Smith

2000's - Home by Michael Buble, Feel by Robbie Williams (or is that 1990's?), new songs from his upcoming album!

There is an old song from the late 40s or 50s by Nat King Cole that is so beautiful. It is called Nature Boy and the lyrics are:

There was a boy

A very strange enchanted boy

They say he wandered very far, very far

Over land and sea

A little shy and sad of eye

But very wise was he

And then one day

A magic day he passed my way

And while we spoke of many things

Fools and kings

This he said to me

"The greatest thing you'll ever learn

Is just to love and be loved in return"

That song has always reminded me of Clay; and most recently with his UNICEF travels.

Well I know diddly squat from 1990 until Clay reawakened my interest in music, so my list is heavily pre-1990. I worked from two theories (Now don't go stealing my brilliantly wunnerful idears, eh! <snerk>):

1. Clay will try to hit most of the major 'themes' within pop music (rock, folk era, hippies, disco, Brit invasion #1

2. This will be his one chance to give his fans the songs they heard him sing on AI so he'll fit in as many of those as possible. ... plus some old demo stuff.

Part of me wants only songs that I haven't heard him sing before, but part would be thrilled to hear him sing BMUB, TLS and Everlasting love in person. They are what fed the early stages of my addiction. {;-D) I would imagine each song would get a great reaction from casual fans who haven't downloaded everything that exisis and listened to it a bajillion times. (And "Yes!" I pretty much did ignore Michael Jackson. This is my dream list and he doesn't exist beyond the age of 10. It's payback for hurting my precious Sir Paul, the Cute Beatle!)

Read 'em and weep. (That's what I'll be doing when I see how few of these actually make his list!) In several cases, I had an artist all picked out but simply could not decide between the last two songs as I eliminated down from 200ish songs. I lurve my music! I don't care about points anyway. Unless I win the game. Then try to shut me up! Heh!

Lessee how I did ...

1950-- preBeatles 60’s:

Hold me, Thrill Me Kiss Me - Mel Carter

Mona Lisa/Too Young - Nat "King" Cole
