I was searching for KD lang performance last night when I did my near fatal click. whew.

kd's performance was the highlight of the opening ceremony for me. She sang the shiznit out of that song and made me feel every note of it. She has one of the purest, most musical voices out there, and is maybe the only female singer who can give me the kind of goosebumps Clay does. The other highlight was the 'Who Has Seen The Wind' segment done to Joni Mitchell's Both Sides Now. I hope that, too, shows up on youtube. It was haunting and beautiful and the aerial ballet that went with it was incredible.

On another note, Nelly Furtado absolutely made me cringe - both her outfit and demeanor.

Scarlett has been doing a lot of posting on FB. I think interventions are needed for her and Canfly. Damn facebook games.

I miss Scarlett. Are they farming? It seems almost everyone has a farm on FB. Not me. I already have enough addictions.

It is addictive!!!

She's into more than Farmville. She's really into Zoo World with me and another app that I don't play that she's trying to talk me into playing called Castle Age. Right now the Valentines gifts and collections have everybody stuck to the feed for Farmville gift links.

Secondly, semi-off topic: kd lang's version of "Hallelujah" from the Opening Ceremonies last night. She has an AMAZING voice IMO, and I'm definitely with Fear that I'd love for her and Clay to do a duet. Also, to make this on topic: Clay, if he was able, probably watched the opening ceremonies. He definitely should know "Hallelujah" now!

Oh, and kd's "style" lately is to sing without shoes, no matter where she's at.

I did get to see that twice. I still like Leonard Cohens version version better but she certainly can sing. I missed the whales that everybody though were so cool though cuz I was...well...playing on FB while I was watching, lol.

The Oh Canada arrangement was awful.

So sad about the luger. Sounds like they are shortening the tracks.

ldyj.... O.M.G... that was absolutely beautiful!!!!!! If anyone can get an MP3 of that to burn to a disc, please point me in the right direction. I would love to hear Clay sing that and would love to hear them sing a duet.

I loved the three-person/ice cycle torch lighting part... that was totally cool.

He's gonna have guests... Ruben??? Who else??? Hannah???? that would rock! We'll know in a few weeks. No clack, but people can still type their little fingers off in recaps! Honest! LOL

kd Lang has the purest voice . I could sit and listen to her all evening. Of course I'd have to tape her if Clay was performing at the same time somewhere...LOL Clay and Kd have that special gift of interpreting songs in their own way, with so much emotion. I think that's what grabs me. I do believe I am quickly reaching the babbeling stage......

I did not like the drawn out Canadian anthem...although the young lady had a fine voice.

The death of the Luger was so tragic. His team must be finding it very difficult to continue.

I was wondering who Clay's guests were going to be too. I guess this is where Ruben might come in. I really wish I was able to attend but I am holding on to the hope that there will be a tour. Fingers and toes crossed!!!!!!!!

With all the many ways you can purchase a Clay Aiken Raleigh ticket for his upcoming concert, you should not come up empty handed by March 12, 2010. However, Clay Aiken is a hot ticket, purchase them fast!

Happy Valentine's Day. I spent the day with my valentine, Perusing One. She actually kicked my butt into action and we're starting to get the new FCA site organized. Now I'm all enthused after dragging my feet for so long. And when her plane had mechanical issues and she had to stay another day we were able to accomplish even more. I wish she could stay and make me work every single day LOL. Hope you all had a wonderful day. Thanks for the beautiful decoration on this page!!

For anyone who can't access it (or doesn't want to try), he basically answers ten questions regarding the concert/tv taping (and then 2 more in a second post). No clack, no cellphones, no still photography, nothing. Anyone who violates will be escorted out, without refund. I think that's a pretty clear instruction and I hope all the clack gatherers or cell certers, regardless of how wonderful we all think they are, will obey it. This is a huge deal for him, and if it gets screwed up it won't be good. No Clay attire of any kind, even pins. He mentions the practice of moving people around at tapings for various reasons, and says he has asked that no one be removed from their purchased seat, but he recommends you follow the 'business casual' attire rule if you want to be sure. Talks about accessible seating, and says that there are more presale tickets available than the # of people who have responded so far, with an unhappy face. Sounds to me like he really wants this thing to sell out. I think it will definitely sell out on the public sale if it gets enough advertisement in the Raleigh area. So smile, Clay!

I've been glued to the Olympics 24/7. Canada already has the full spectrum of medals, wheeeeee! I don't know how I'm going to function this week though. The events are on Pacific time which means they go to midnight or beyond here. Waaaaay past my usual bedtime. Thank goodness for today's statuatory holiday called 'Family Day'. It's a new one, only in certain provinces, designed to give us a much needed long weekend in February. I actually have all my kids present and accounted for tonight, and my mom is even here. So we are making good use of it.

I am going to start visualizing Clay's being thrilled with the taping, the audience, just everything about the March 12 show. He really deserves everything to be exactly as he wishes it to be.

I searched for almost an hour last night to see the speedskating final. I think NBC and the cable stations have conspired to make sure you either watch it on tv or you pay for the higher priced cable packages. It wasn't even on youtube. I get the cheapest cable package available and was told my plan didn't allow me to see events on nbcolypmics.com. Boohoo! I am sticking my tongue out at you.... tm French guard.

For anybody that normally uses FCA main - it's gone. I guess Ansa's husband forgot we were there and let his service go last month. Just keep your fingers crossed that PerusingOne grabbed all of the files. We were in the process of moving it anyway but wasn't planning to have it ready until April. We'll try to move it up but with my schedule ... I'm just not sure if it can be back before our originally planned date. We could always have it be a work in progress too. We'll discuss tonight..she's somewhere in the air. Sniff.. my baby is gone. I do have the files too in my desktop..well everyting but the last two years however my desktop is in a state of disrepair at the moment. I know the files are in there though.

Justclay thought that Thankful4clay was still alone but she just partnered up with Muski.

Any other singles out there? I'm still 3rd wheel and would really like to know somebody that I'll be sitting beside.

BTW: that was me who PMd the question re: groups of 3. Clay actually answered. He has no control over the 2 tickets apiece and says I'll have to make new friends with whomever I end up beside.

Problem is I can't try for tickets at 10am tomorrow cuz I'll be in the classroom!

I've been kind of out of touch. Where do we go on OFC to get the codes?
