Anybody know the seating capacity at Foxwoods, since I heard it was sold out?

This show has a real build going on. It's picking up steam and ticket sales as it moves along. The little hints about the show continuing ... I sure hope that turns out to be true. A September extension would be kick-ass, especially if they put a show in San Antonio, or Houston, or Austin, or Dallas, or Oklahoma City, or New Orleans, or Lake Charles ... hummmmmmmm. Clay does have a record of playing Texas in September.

Or Savannah ... I could visit the kids in Savannah!

Or DC? I could visit the daughter in DC!

Please don't be over next week, Timeless Tour!!! You're too good to stop now!

kf, I bleieve the seating capacity is around 3959

And you are right, the show is just picking up momentum. They really do need to extend it; continue to hone it; hit Vegas and then onto a TV Special baybay!!!

pleasesweetbabyjesus let it be so

Awww  for Clay's toe.

The rooms at the Beau Rivage ballooned up this week to NYC rates. I called the hotel to see if there was a chance the rates would drop before next weekend especially since the Gulf Coast has been hurting. The lady told me that the rates would not drop, but would likely increase because they are almost full. She said, word for word, "We have Clay Atkins and Ruben Stooder playing here next weekend and they are selling out the hotel."

Something tells me there will be more casino hotel shows. :whistling-1:

Also, I sent my daughter pictures of the screenshots I made of "the kiss" from Scarlett's video ... to refresh, these screenshots:

Okay, I sent them to her because I love them, but I fully expected a snarky response, because that's the kind of daughter I raised. Anyway, her response kind of shocked me. It's not a "Noelle" kind of thing to say, and I've known her all her life *g*....

Those are very sweet photos, really. I mean that. There's an intimacy there, not necessarily sexual. Intimacy comes in many different ways. I like the top photo a lot.

Knock me over with a feather. Then I made a crudely edited montage of favorite moments from Reno, to stay within the photobucket 10 minute video limit, and put it on Facebook. She called about that ... and to paraphrase:

I actually like that. But I don't get the 'can't dance' act. As a dancer, I can see that whatever he's pretending, he can dance, and it shows in his natural movement. Is he self-conscious about dancing? If so, he shouldn't be. He needs to go for it all the time.

I'm going to bring that girl around yet ... even though she's still in love with Ian Astbury of The Cult and has been for twenty years.

Thanks, luckiest & crimson!

Great jeans :hubbahubba: Great thighs :Thud:

kf, Noelle sounds like a very cool gal. Kinda like her mom ;-)

And YEAH for the gulf coast getting some business from the dynamic duo! I am hoping for an extended run also. Dare I pray for a return to someplace like the bay area before winter? :clay:

kf, your daughter sounds like a chip off the block or however that goes. Very sweet reply.

She's a piece of work. I, on the other hand, am the picture of taste and decorum. You may remember the story I told about her when she was about 5 or 6 and at my mother's church for Christmas, when the song announced for congregational singing was "Joy to the World" and she belted out, "Jeremiah was a bullfrog ...." Not exactly the same joy to the world. *g*

luckiest... I love your recaps! People should hire you to write their recaps. LOL

keeping... loved the story about your DD. Maybe there is hope for my not-clay-loving kids. Naw... probably not.

bottle... dancerdad takes good pictures! I just changed my screen to the Eye of the Tiger one. Sooo cute!

I like the idea of making TOML a sortof encore. A show this good needs an encore!

I certainly hope they enjoyed the show enough and do want to do more of it. Maybe a Sept/Oct few spots... and I could definitely do Vegas!

Happy Birthday, Parker!!! :bdayparty2::bdayparty2:

Well... back to work! Some idiot decided we should propose on two other jobs, one due the 12th and one the 16th while we are trying to retain our biggest client ($24MM), due on the 18th. I can't complain since my boss paid for my trip to Reno. I might just move a cot in here to save the drive back and forth. LOL On top of that, I'm moving in September. I hope I survive these next two months, but if I do.... I'm going to Chicago for Oct 14th.

Oh, and I have a report from Target from earlier today. Looked for Clay's alpha card and there was 1 T&T. Turned around to the Best Sellers wall and he had four, count 'em, four CD thingies, holders, whathavyas, with his name and price under them, three were empty and one had two left. The last time I checked Target a couple of weeks ago there was no product. So for some reason the stocking is picking up, and a lot have sold in that store. I stress that this Target is in Clear Lake Shores, Texas, and we haven't seen Tried & True on our TVs and won't until September. There have been no concerts advertised here, and certainly no radio, so I don't know what contributes to the CD surge, but I'm not bitching. Maybe it's that great looking guy on the cover. For all the complaining around Clay Nation regarding that cover picture, every not-a-fan to the person who has seen one of my copies has admired how good he looks on the cover.

I've been carrying on all over the place about an encore. There's so much enthusiasm and spirit in this show and when they walk off stage it evaporates into a poof! where have we been and what just happened vibe. Giving the audience something to continue cheering and yelling about for a couple of minutes, and then a bigger ovation when they return, and then another song or two of ecstasy would be perfect, and leave everyone drained and satisfied. The newbie who sat next to me at Reno watched everyone getting up to leave and looked a little stupefied. "They aren't staying for the encore?" she asked.

The new Carolina On My Mind blog celebrates a very special second birthday today with Fountaindawg's "Dream Big and Dare" graphic for Parker. The weekend's Timeless Tour capacity crowds and primo clack (Scarlett), a Top 10 listing for the Clay Aiken-Chaka Khan duet, etc., also make the list!

Thnx to Cotton and Deborah Gibson for the photos from Foxwoods. Also, thank you to all who visit and comment in the Internet Clay blogs. This only takes a couple of minutes but greatly enhances placement at Google and other search engine websites.

Thnx to all who share clack and recaps with those of us at home.

DITTO to both! :whistling-1:

I hope Parker has enjoyed a wonderful birthday! :snoopy:

Have an awesome week, all! :BlowKiss:

Back home again. My mom's interment ceremony was on Friday afternoon, and then today was a family reunion. Of course, it was hotter than blazes, and I'm hoping I love 5 pounds just by sweating.

I should be listening to the cellcert, but after driving for a couple of hours, I'm tired. I think I've listened to the first cellcert and that's about it. And I realized today that I'm going to miss the Biloxi cellcert as well! Fortunately, I'll get one more dose of Clay via Hammond Friday night!

Happy birthday sweet Parker Foster Aiken!
