Couch Tomato Posted August 21, 2005 Author Report Share Posted August 21, 2005 The cellcerter is at the side of the stage way over at one side and there is a wall of some kind that is going to be blocking their view... the stadium is about half full but there is a lot of seating area.. it isn't really very hot so that is good. The area is very rural, lots of horses and the horse smell. They are playing Earth Angel as background music... The guess is that it is not starting on time since it is after 7:30... there is a lady with a video camera behind her who asked her if she was cellcerting. She wants to take video. There are people from CB there. There is a guy in the front row near them who could do the whole thing about being dragged here, because he was. Cellcerter hopes they pick him. There are a bunch of men there, but more women. ----- It is starting. They are looking for quarter. ----- We built this city!! R-n-R skipping now. ----- Insane cheers starting now! ----- TTNA ----- At the hop sounded like they were hoppin! Johnny B Good go johnny go Rockin Robin - and yes, they're rockin!! Helped her say hello to Debbie. LOL!!! ----- He saw someone looking for a friend and he said "what are you doing? who are you looking for? who? DEBBIE? then he shouted out "DEBBIE?" (Yes Sweetie,we are) "Looney Rivers cry wait for me.. wait for me..." ----- Unchained Melody--sounds so consistently beautiful-- really a nice version tonight -- pretty ----- UM was incredible! Wonderful notes and emotion. ----- LMT cellstream kinda scratchy tonight. Of course that means everybody is getting a nice and clear one. It's Meee.!" laughs and screams. ----- Love Me Tender - and it sounds very beautiful and tender ----- HUGE screams, then Hound Dog!! Blue Suede Shoes - GREAT low notes (and the others too!) Don't Be Cruel - more great low notes! Heartbreak Hotel - LOTS LOTS LOTS of screams, throughout all of it. Vocal is spot on! Gorgeous and glorious! VERY sexy! Jail House Rock - and he is ROCKING!!! AND THE CROWD ERUPTS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Can't Help Falling In Love Awwwwwwwwwwww, so dreamy some things are meant to be - swoon swoon swoon take my hand - sounded so beautiful ----- Suspicious Minds It's their usual wonderful! Wailing on we can't go on together and we can't build our dream on suspicious minds ----- Slow part just finished No uptempo again ----- 60s intro ----- Daydream believer ----- Downtown lots of screams for that one ----- listen to the music of the city - his voice is absolutely soaring! Such a bright, bubbly section!! Downtown's sound glorious! ----- oh, he's sounding really good in that part -- niiiice now into -- Can't Buy Me Love (picture bobbing Beatle head) using a little extra vibrato on stuff tonight, sounds like Sugar, Sugar ----- Can't Buy Me Love - audience seemed to enjoy Awwwwwws at Sugar Sugar! Voice sounds incredible! Music change! ----- Happy Together Imagine me and you .. . I do . . . I think aboutcha day and night .. it's only right -- yup pretty harmonies in round at the end -- love it ----- Big laughs just now - a couple of lines into So Happy Together, then some more a few lines later and again, then big laughs! Wonder what he/they did tonight? Can't tell there were any misses on words or notes and the bah bah bah's were SOOO strong! Huge response at the end of the song! Asking about the gentlemen who don't want to be there. HUGE laughter after about a minute! I think he's saying something about "please say you don't have..." - couldn't tell how that ended but there are and have continued to be insane screams for at least 30 seconds! Still bantering ----- He's got them rolling in the aisles! Found a guy. Wife or SO name is Becky. Can't tell anything else yet. ----- lots and lots of laughing -- he's just going on and on guess he's got a couple onstage -- from Columbus, Ohio going on about Iron Maiden -- maybe he thought he was going to see them? ----- ANMHE According to half time report...Clay looks and sounds good. The guy picked to dance was tricked into coming ...drove 4 hours to go see Iron Maiden..but instead got Clay Aiken. CRYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY and the note goes on! Little change up on the note on 'too' demanding, up a note; nice change WHO, that last CRYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY went on about forever! The creaming crows loved it! Lots of OHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH's after. All Night Long - change in voice type now sing along (the along was wonderful) ----- Never Gonna Give You Up - sounds incredible Alone (thud time again!) ----- Oh good Lord! The low notes at the end of the first line. Heavens! ----- Soaring on second verse. He kicks butt on this song. ----- Rock with you ----- Rock With You sounds good. Met by some squeals further back in the venue, it sounded like. ----- Some little note changes at the line about miracles. Very nice. Applause and some screams. Piano, etc. now. So pretty. ----- Can't touch this ----- Fashion mistakes, bright colors, church outfit-spandex Dances in the '90's Reebok Clay trying to do one of the dances. Stop lloking at me like that, Jacob. Curiousgladys just said oh, my goodness. ----- 90's banter and Can't Touch That - this is what we wore in the 1990's. Big fashion mistake. Bright colors. (Still muffled.) Quite a bit of laughter. Now a lot of laughter! Something about they don't work together (I think), then big laughter. Now huge laughter and screams! These are the 1990's Black Velvet, met by some screams. ----- Clarence, Barry White type voice delivery Jacob - EOTR, improvised a little on several notes - didn't care for it, myself. Clay - WHOA - wailing, emoting, passion; what a glorious voice on this. ----- EOTR Break down and cry-beautiful I wish I could type better Iris I just want you to know who I am Screams LLVL! and more screams ooh love he sang candlelight crowd singing along and screaming ----- LLVL Mega screams now! in to superstition black cats and voodoo dolls girl gonna make me fall cheers at first dancy part BIG cheers at 'take clothes off and dance in rain' lines The notes on the final 'living la vida loca' line sounded a little different tonight. Maybe not quite as strong - wait for download!! ----- ICMYLM ----- Piano prior to piano part for ICMYLM turn down these voices inside my head tell me no lies don't patronize (again, the phone couldn't pick up the low note "me"; don't know why) This is gorgeous again tonight. ----- I don't know if it's just my connection, but the piano in ICMYLM sounds rather overwhelming tonight. He's put a lot of work into this. beautiful, just beautiful Major screams, biggest screams of the night ----- Note rise during "feel" before the 'you're holdin me' line; also, a couple of other little note changes in the next couple of lines. Oh my, how plaintive that first "give up the fight" was, and continuing on. You can't make your heart feel (note change) I will lay down my heart (OMG!) I CANNOT describe the level of passion, heartbreak, hurting in the last verse of tihs song. UNBELIEVABLE. This will be another "must-have" download. Cheers after Clay's performance.
