Please add an additional person coming with me. I have found a member of Clayversity as a travel buddy traveling with me by car from Indiana, ....artz11... who would like to come to brunch with us.

Thanks..I know you are getting crowded....I appreciate all the work this takes to put together, great job FromClagary.

Added! See you there! smile.gif

FCG - sorry to be extra trouble, but my travelmates want to get on the road instead of going to breakfast with you guys.

Hope to see you all around at the gala festivities anyhow!!! smile.gif

Does anyone know if the restaurant has it's own parking area? Typically, I would just walk from the Marriott but this year I have a bum foot. TIA.

This is unlikely. There is a parking deck near Moore Square, which is very close. (I saw it from the bus last weekend, but I'm not sure where I was, except that the bus stopped at the Moore Square terminal and there was a parking deck there.) There is street parking, but I don't know which streets have parking. Fayetteville St. does for sure. Downtown Raleigh parking is mostly parking decks, pay lots, and street parking. Sunday you won't have too much competition for parking from anyone else but other Gala attendees, especially at the time of the breakfast. Here's a map--you can enlarge the Fayetteville St./Moore Square areas and compare to the map posted in the first post of this thread.

Sorry about your foot. hugs-1.gif

Edited to add map - duh!

This year they have a free three strand bracelet with a $15. purchase.

For purchase there are jewelry bags, note cards, cds of African women's songs and lots of beads very reasonably priced. Earrings too! Prices are between $10 and $20.

Very cool! Really looking forward to it! I wouldn't be surprised my son, who loves world music, would enjoy that CD.

Oooh!! Can't wait to see the beads! I can't find the ones I had bought in Toronto a few years ago and I miss them.

Two of my peeps on the breakfast list aren't going to make it so it will just be me and my aunt, Lorraine, on Sunday. Can't wait to see you all again....we're leaving in a few hours....overnight in Toronto and on to Raleigh in the morning.

Thanks so much for coming, everyone! Glad you had a good time.

The folks at Tyr na nog were very good to work with, and if we are able to do this again...or if you're in the area and are looking for a place....I would definitely recommend them!

Good service, lovely people (isn't everyone in Raleigh??), great food!
