  1. Simply gorgeous, movie-star handsome in #2...but...I voted for #1 because of these features: crinkly-eyed light-up-the-place smile, solid, hunky shoulders, bendy, um...knees, big feet, strong hands yet tender enough to amuse and reassure the children. But still ... apples and oranges.
  2. 2009! BWAH! (WAHHH!!) My first post on Main and I get on first page? YAY! There is some good that comes from staying up so late (EDT). I'm trying to avoid ruminating about the three amigos tour rumor -- because it is making me very sad. One or two showcase appearances, maybe-- but a whole tour? - Ay Yi Yi-- time is a precious commodity and time spent doing that tour means less time for other wonderful things that Clay could be doing. To self: stop ruminating. Sometimes I think Clay might think of the collective fanship as yet another mother whose advice and complaints he needs to stubbornly resist/ignore from time to time just for the principle of it. Besides his nose looking too long (atinal), and pointy, his upper lip seems too small, and his eyes look sleepy or sedated in a way that is so unlike his usual luminosity. Plus his shoulders in the pic look more narrow than his real very wide ones. But why would they want to photoshop his pic? He is so gorgeous. Compare this pic stargazer posted in the last thread to her avatar. WOW what a difference! ETA: further details about the possible photoshop--
  3. Hi cotton! How surreal was that? Oops! here is your new room-- Only not! So sorry about the room invasion. *g* After much juggling around, the front desk found an empty room-- a bit of an upgrade and a free continental breakfast to apologize for the hasstle-- I hope they offered you some comp for the trouble. :F_05BL17blowkiss: I had the trip from hell getting from Cary to Asheville (one-hour traffic jam just outside of Cary and then stuck behind cars crawling along the mountain roads)-- Then once in Ashville trying to deal with bitch- in-a-box's re-calculating, recalculating cries when trying to find the Crown Plaza with an iffy street address. The odyssey involved stopping at an out-of-the-way road house asking if they knew where the CP was-- nopey-nope-- but one of the servers thought it might be up by Sam's Club-- only Sam's Club wasn't listed in b-in-a-b's directory. Thus the extreme lateness. I rushed into the last 10 minutes of the CH pre-concert dinner in my lovely travel clothes-- grabbed a few tidbits from the buffet-- said a few hellos-- and rushed to get checked in-- and then the oops! room scene. Luckily for me, the concert started late because of the loooong line, so I arrived at my seat just minutes before Here You Come Again... started. ETA (since I can't yet figure out how to do two quotes in one unedited post): Hi and welcome from another newbie. Yes, I can! I had this surgery done in February. PM me with any questions. I'd be glad to help you. Thanks, ialreadyam--Will do. :F_05BL17blowkiss: I'm just beginning to think about it so I'm not yet sure what questions to ask-- but I'm working on it. I had two biggie surgeries in the Winter/Spring so I haven't wanted to even think about another hospital adventure-- but now the knee problem is driving me nuts-- so I might be getting ready -- especially with all those upcoming Clay concerts in challenging travel circumstances-- hmmmm, let's see Winter in the "heartland"? Hobbling through snow, sleet, freezing cold to see/hear OMC? Could happen. After all, I hobbled through the fires of hell (100-ish degrees in Cary and Asheville) to see himself. I think he (or his tour team) just might enjoy climate challenges.
  4. Thanks, jmh123! You were such fun company -- and you just about saved my life *g* with that frozen thingy in the 104 degree inferno-- me with my busted knee stuck in my chair-- Most, if not all, of us in that section (in front to the far left looking at the stage) were seemingly oblivious to the presence of "the creep" and his mother-- BTW: Anybody know (or have experience with it): is knee replacement surgery all that it's cracked up to be?-- I'm starting to look into it-- I'm getting very annoyed with the limitations of end-stage arthritis of the knee joint. It gets in the way of easy travel to see Clay in concert.
  5. Thanks, couchie. There was that ride from Greensboro or was it Winston Salem? to Greenville? (it all blurs together!) with Salamander and quotag -- with the two of us in the back seat oogling the concert program -- there was no CD player in the rental car- so we had to go back to the airport to change cars to make sure we could surround sound with his-Clayness on the long drive -- and then we sat next to each other at the Raleigh State Fair evening program -- good times!
  6. Very happy to be here--so many familiar names and fun fans! I was his at Take. . .; found my way to TTC and CB, then to RHT, then to one of its offshoot, discontented "Neighborhoods" A&E; and then to CH where I post the most. I also spend a bit of time at CV, and a few other assorted Clay boards (so many I think I have lost track-- this Clay thing is like a part time job for me. lol.) Still don't fully understand why he has me in such thrall-- but I love it. I live close to Orlando-- and I have never been so hot in all my life-- weather-wise, that is. Thought I would fall over from heat exhaustion at the HRL concert (*waves* to shady)-- and I live here-- so I should be used to it. I lost count of how many concerts I've been to, but it is well over 20-- My name is the same at all boards and comes from my love of and academic/field research with dolphins. I've always used FCA as a kind of Clay "google," (thanks, couchie!) but didn't realize there was also a message board until a reference was made to it a little while ago at CH-- I checked it out and found many fun folks were here-- so here I am. edited to switch the post icon.
