  1. Couchie, that is a GREAT weight loss!!! And Goodwill is a good idea. Another might be ebay. Don't laugh. I found out that QVC and other shopping networks do not put their returned merchandise back in their warehouses. What they do is go through jobbers or bundlers who sell items on ebay. Often the merchandise is new with tags where a person maybe bought the wrong size or just did not like the way something looked on them. Some items are new w/o tags, so might have been worn once or twice. Many vendors accept returns. You can do great there...for example .just got a washable suede jacket with tags for ten bucks....and a two piece pant suit by Bob Mackie with tags for the same. If you are patient you can do very well. Those items sold for 89 and 79 on tv.
  2. Clay just can't win. In the past, when he has indicated he will be doing something without giving details, the fandom starts doing its own analysis and builds its expectations beyond reason. When their expectations are not met, they have blamed Clay. I know this sounds really strange, but it happens all the time. Now that he has indicated change of some type, they are speculating he is leaving the business entirely, and are angry. The poor guy owes them nothing, but tries to give them a heads up and they pounce on him. It's really nuts out there....much more comfortable here. There is no reasoning at this point...some don't want to go to the gala now and others are upset because he will auction off a dinner at the Friday night event with VIP ticketholders -- except anyone can bid, so the anger is just that -- anger at Clay. Clay is my happy place...I will support whatever he wants to do to earn a living and support inclusion -- or anything else for that matter. Hope the change is to theater and acting because IMO he shines there and is respected. If not, am sure he will not disappoint.
  3. TWWMAD UPDATE Amid the ongoing relief efforts associated with Hurricane Sandy, stories emerge of victims and volunteers that tug at the heartstrings. One is about a teenager on Staten Island who carefully collected all the photographs found in her neighborhood. She found them under bushes, in trees, in mud. Friends joined her effort. The photos were carefully cleaned, then posted on peg boards in front of her garage. She posted signs telling people where to review the pictures and many were returned to their owners. It was a simple act of kindness that helped people reconnect with their memories and know that others understood and cared. Likewise, those of us at The Way We Make A Difference realize Clay's concert schedule includes the Atlantic City, Staten Island and Stamford, areas heavily impacted by the storm. We would like to help make a difference in our small way and try to bring just a few hours of joy to those who are in so much distress, as well as those who have helped them. If you agree, we will accept donations that are specifically earmarked for these concerts. This does not exclude other concerts -- we are simply offering the opportunity to those of you who would like to do something specific for the areas hardest hit by the storm. TWWMAD welcomes all donations! If you would like to make a monetary contribution or if you have an extra ticket or two to donate, we would be most grateful to have them! Please remember, no donation is too small. And if you would like your donations earmarked for the concerts in the areas affected by Hurricane Sandy, please just let us know when donating. For anyone not familiar with our project, TWWMAD promotes inclusion by offering a chance for people with and without disabilities to share in the excitement of seeing Clay in concert. The address to use for Paypal donations is twwmad.org@gmail.com If you have tickets to donate please contact us at tix.twwmad.org@gmail.com Thanks in advance for helping us to make a difference, one concert ticket at a time! ETA: Am reposting this with corrected address for ticket donations. If you tried to contact TWWMAD and didn't get a response please try again...we have learned that some emails were either not received or were kicked back to senders. The concerts are starting but there is still time to donate.

  10. His twitter is working.... Clay Aiken ‏@clayaiken Now THIS convention floor looks like America! #diversityrocks #hypotheticallydrunk Clay Aiken ‏@clayaiken She just whooped Ann Romney's ass so hard that Ann's horse felt it!!! #michelle2016 Gotta' love him!
  11. Fear I did that years ago,,,dentist laughed when I called him and asked if there was any pain. Since there wasn't and it wasn't a cosmetic issue he told me to go without the temp crown for two weeks till next appointment since it was better for the tooth.
  12. Another Fla venue http://www.rutheckerdhall.com/events/?d=2012-11-25,2012-11-25&loc=mini-cal I think this one shows me they are trying to do this tour responsibly. It's Sunday evening and not in the larger venue but a 655 seat one downtown called Capitol Theater. Makes a great deal of sense since people who go to Fla just for the shows will be traveling back after the long holiday weekend. He may catch a few locals though. I hope he sells out!
  13. It kind of looks like these areas don't have tour stops. So many of those states don't have the population to support his tours....combined with those that gravitate primarily to country music. I think this tweet might be some kind of hint for those who will be wondering about buying tix closer to them as the tour stops are announced.
