(Thank goodness for YouTube .... I was just watching the start of The View (which I taped earlier today) and they mentioned the above interview... and so I did a search on YouTube. Mind boggling, YouTube, technology.... etc etc etc. I just love it!)

I watched this. OMG poor Sarah, she is dense and inarticulate. Now I am beginning to understand why men, who did not like Hillary like Sarah. They are not threatened by her intelligence. Ooops, I promised myself that I was not going to thrash her. It is getting hard not to though. I also watched the Utube on her comments on foreign policy. WOW Unbelievable!

The flood of American liberals sneaking across the border into Canada has intensified in the past week, sparking calls for increased patrols to stop the illegal immigration.

The possibility of a McCain/Palin election is prompting the exodus among left-leaning citizens who fear they'll soon be required to hunt, pray, and agree with Bill O'Reilly.

Canadian border farmers say it's not uncommon to see dozens of sociology professors, animal rights activists and Unitarians crossing their fields at night.

'I went out to milk the cows the other day, and there was a Hollywood producer huddled in the barn,' said Manitoba farmer Red Greenfield, whose acreage borders North Dakota.

The producer was cold, exhausted and hungry. 'He asked me if I could spare a latte and some free-range chicken. When I said I didn't have any, he left. Didn't even get a chance to show him my screenplay, eh?'

In an effort to stop the illegal aliens, Greenfield erected higher fences, but the liberals scaled them. So he tried installing speakers that blare Rush Limbaugh across the fields. 'Not real effective,' he said. 'The liberals still got through, and Rush annoyed the cows so much they wouldn't give milk.'

Officials are particularly concerned about smugglers who meet liberals near the Canadian border, pack them into Volvo station wagons, drive them across the border and leave them to fend for themselves.

'A lot of these people are not prepared for rugged conditions,' an Ontario border patrolman said. 'I found one carload without a drop of drinking water. They did have a nice little Napa Valley cabernet, though.'

When liberals are caught, they're sent back across the border, often wailing loudly that they fear retribution from conservatives. Rumors have been circulating about the McCain administration establishing re-education camps in which liberals will be forced to shoot wolves from airplanes, deny evolution, and act out drills preparing them for the Rapture.

In recent days, liberals have turned to sometimes ingenious ways of crossing the border. Some have taken to posing as senior citizens on bus trips to buy cheap Canadian prescription drugs. After catching a half-dozen young vegans disguised in powdered wigs, Canadian immigration authorities began stopping buses and quizzing the supposed senior-citizen passengers on Perry Como and Rosemary Clooney hits to prove they were alive in the '50s.

'If they can't identify the accordion player on The Lawrence Welk Show, we get suspicious about their age,' an official said.

Canadian citizens have complained that the illegal immigrants are creating an organic-broccoli shortage and renting all the good Susan Sarandon movies.

'I feel sorry for American liberals, but the Canadian economy just can't support them,' an Ottawa resident said. 'How many art-history and English majors does one country need?'

That reminds me of one of my favourite political "good news/bad news" jokes. First you need to know the political landscape it was set in:

- Bob Hawke: Australia's Prime Minister from 1983 - 1991. Longest serving Labor Prime Minister.

- When Hawke was in office, the leaders of the superpowers were Ronald Reagan and Mikhail Gorbachev

- During one emotionallly charged political speech, Bob Hawke stated "In 1990, no child will be living in poverty..." (this was often quoted by all and sundry, especially those who opposed Mr Hawke)

Important to Note:

Liberal Party of Australia is similar in philosophy to the Republican Party in the USA.

Labor Party of Australia is similar in philosophy to the Democrat Party in the USA, with a hazy reputation for being a socialist sympathiser

I just watched that video...OMG that woman is scary, she is also very good at what she does.

So here's another political joke applying to US and Canadian citizens alike as both our countries approach election days.

Take heed, oh wise ones!!!

John was in the fertilized egg business. He had several hundred young layers (hens), called 'pullets', and ten roosters to fertilize the eggs.

He kept records, and any rooster not performing went into the soup pot and was replaced.

This took John a lot of time, so he bought some tiny bells and attached them to his roosters. Each bell had a different tone, so he could tell from a distance which rooster was performing.

Now, he could sit on the porch and fill out an efficiency report by just listening to the bells.

John's favorite rooster, old Butch, was a very fine specimen, but this morning he noticed old Butch's bell hadn't rung at all!

When he went to investigate, he saw the other roosters were busy chasing pullets, bells-a-ringing, and the pullets, hearing the roosters coming, would run for cover.

To John's amazement, old Butch had his bell in his beak, so it couldn't ring.He'd sneak up on a pullet, do his job and walk on to the next one.

John was so proud of old Butch that he entered him in the Renfrew County Fair where he became an overnight sensation among the judges. The result was the judges not only awarded old Butch the No Bell Piece Prize but they also awarded him the Pulletsurprise as well.

Clearly old Butch was a politician in the making.

Who else but a politician could figure out how to win two of the most highly coveted awards on our planet by being the best at sneaking up on the populace and screwing them when they weren't paying attention.

Vote carefully this year, the bells are not always audible.

I have to say I'm disturbed by the people who believe Obama is an Arab and practically crying at the thought of him as president. The level of ignorance in this country sometimes slaps me in the face.

I know what you mean couchie. Every two years my husband and I work to get a Republican congresswoman out of congress. This year we might have a chance. But her campaign has started a whisper campaign against her opponent who is a retired football coach. Since he worked with children you can guess what it is about. And totally not true.

She has voted against the main two things he is campaigning for: education for our children and health care for all. She is ranked 399th in effectiveness in Congress. She votes against everything and campaigns on how much money she is saving. She voted against providing aid for Katrina victims.

My husband and I worked the Democratic booth at the county fair. A Republican voter who works for the local government came over and told us that although she always votes straight Republican tickets, this congresswoman insulted her two gay sons so she would definitely vote for our candidate.

I'll be off in a few hours to make phone calls for our him.

We have people canvassing in every voter district in our county. 100% of the people will get literature on every candidate and other information such as the ballot and early voting sites and times. We are all working for every candidate. In addition to the presidency we are doing well in the senate race and congressional races.

Do I ever agree with you about the ignorance! Not just about Obama being an 'Arab', but about the actual voting records of any number of candidates who are already in office. For many people the election is almost more of a popularity contest than a studied, logical evaluation of the candidate's views and record.

My mail-in ballot just came in the mail yesterday. There are a ton of issues on the Colorado ballot this year, so I opted for the mail-in option. Makes it easier to study the ballot and make good decisions. And, I don't have to stand in line!

Fear, I admire your efforts! Please come back and let us know what happens with that Congresswoman.

So just once I'd like to hear John McCain answer a question with a specific answer relating to HIS proposed solutions instead of spouting generalities and "my friends" and then attacking Barack Obama. He uses his two minutes not in supplying information about what HE specifically plans to do, why and what it will mean to the average citizen--but in trying to point out or misrepresent any possible flaw or character flaw of his opponent.

I came away from this debate being able to explain to my daughter a number of specific intentions of Obama and very few details of a McCain plan---at least few that would be beneficial to 'Joe Plumber'....

I admire Obama's restraint, his eloquence, his ability and desire to stay on point and his refusal to get into a 'bully/bullied' stance when baited. At times I actually worried about McCain's blood pressure. He seemed to get flustered and repetitive and his attempts at sarcastic humor fell way short.

'Fear' does not adequately describe my state of being when I consider the pair---McCain/Palin---as leaders of this country or as representatives of me to the rest of the world.

I am so excited. The man I am supporting for US Congress has just come out for same sex marriage. Maybe it'll prevent him from getting elected in our very conservative state but it is amazing to me that he, amongst all the wafflers has stood up for what he thinks is right. I just emailed his campaign manager to tell him how proud I am to be part of his campaign.

I spent the morning at the early voting polls and did not hear one negative word about this. Maybe I should be proud of our state?

It shocked me too, but it has given me a new respect for him. I was very upset with everyone in a significant position in Bush's government over the Iraq war, which I opposed so strongly that I ended up alienating some people who were friendly "associates" at that time. I can never understand why an intelligent person cannot see the futility of pro-actively going to war...as if they had learnt nothing from history. Hillary also muddied my massive respect for her over the Iraq war, as strange as it may sound, I felt betrayed by her endorsement of the attack at that time.

Anyhow, I am so thrilled that Colin Powell has given Obama the thumbs up. The idea of someone like Palin in office strikes fear in me.
