Glad the wedding was such a sucess. Meghan looks gorgeous and they both look so happy. Way to go with the ipod luckiest. :listen:

Times have definitely changed for the better in many ways. But, sadly, not everyone has accepted change. I look at our NC legislature and what they have done in such a short time to women, LGBT, children and those who are mentally ill on the pretense of reducing our sales tax by 1/2% and using religion. It gets me really sad. I was downtown at the annual Rock the Block collecting money for the food bank last weekend and several of the folks that I worked with on the last presidential campaign were down in the dumps about this situation too. I guess (I know) money talks. Sorry,I can't stop myself from complaining. It's nice to hear about a happy couple.

Here are the only pictures from my camera I managed to salvage. Two from inside the chapel and two from the reception. One is my daughter dancing with Meghan, and the other is the happy couple during their first dance. I tried to attach them but it wouldn't work. This should be a public link to the facebook album.

Gorgeous dress, cute couple! :) Glad it went well.

I had a really good evening myself... a few days ago I asked the guy I've been seeing to go with me to the studio's new exhibit's opening..and he said yes! So last night I picked him up and we went downtown, and just like everyone else, he loved the gallery. I really don't know how you can't! It's so unique..and the new show is AWESOME! Everything is very post-modern and abstract, and there's even a few "live" pieces like a big blobby thing made of un-blown-up purple balloons, chairs, an "alligator shelf" etc. It's really really cool.

After leaving the studio we hung out for a bit before going to a friend's party...we've haven't really said much to the group that we've been seeing/talking to each other the past few weeks but last night we walked in together so... surprise.. haha! He and I have plans next weekend already to go mini golfing, which we both apparently are bad at, so it should be fun! I also made plans to go with dancing with the girls, whenever that'll be. But I won't dance, I'll be on the side watching them! LOL

Today I'm taking my mom down over by the mall to see all the stores she's been missing out on for the past month. :) Yay shopping!

Couchie, the Big Bang is hilarious. Aikim gave a good basic idea of the show, but it is a lot more. You have to watch it a few times to get to know the characters though. I have watched it from the very beginning and love it. The characters are all genius level people, but misfits when it comes to socializing. They don't have a clue, but they live in a world all their own and it works. I love it!

shortyjill, I'm so happy that you found someone. Let us know if you need any advice. I've been married longer than you've been alive. Eeek! :thbighug-1:

Thanks! :) I'll keep that in mind. Maybe sometime we'll get a picture of ourselves together and I can show off how cute he is. *g*

The new Carolina On My Mind blog celebrates the latest artistic activity within the Clay Aiken fandom. The new Curtis Brown photo, with minute edits by Sally, leads the entry, along with the screen saver-sized wallpapers created by Fountaindawg. Montages by LovesClaysVoice (DWTS 13) and SueReu (UNICEF) are also featured.

Thank you for your blog comments/visits, Facebook posts, retweets, links, and support of the Internet Clay blogs. :)

So glad the wedding went well, luckiest1. I think we are all enjoying reading your good news, shortyjill! :whee:

Have a great week, all! :BlowKiss:

Boy am I glad I'm going to the Gala this year. I'll be arriving on Friday and leaving on Sunday.

It's nice to almost feel his excitement about whatever it is that's going on. You can tell he's pumped, and I love it!

Oh great, Clay wants me to be 'nearby' in the next week or so for some big news.......and I'll be incommunicado in the Carribean until Oct 11th. Hmmm, what's Clay's definition of a 'week or so'? :cryingwlaughter:

oh you can get on the internet for a minute Lucky. Just budget it in. The terms have to be better than it was when I went on my last cruise.

Thanks for the offer, ldyj, but I am not going to take my Blackberry with me, I don't think. The roaming charges alone would kill me (they already do just when I cross into the US). couchie, you are right, I will probably break down and buy a few minutes of internet time, a couple of times on the ship. I don't think I can go 10 days without a fix. :P I have no idea of the charges per minute but how bad can it be? In any case, I think it's great that Clay has exited his 'cave' and is ready to play again. :)

Had school last night so missed the initial excitement, read the blog, but need to read it again but it sounds so very exciting. Wish I could get to the Gala, but doesn't look to be happening, unless I can write a kick-ass biography for him that so impresses him that he personally escorts me to the Gala and gives me a seat next to him (hey if you are going to dream, dream big!)

Oops

Lucky... just go to your cruise ship's web page and find out the policy. I looked it up last year for my sister and it was much cheaper than I remember. Plus they even had wi-fi in certain areas on the ship. So say $20 will be enough to get you enough hits to make it through the cruise LOL. Honestly I'd probably go nuts without the internet for 10 days.

Merrieeee you're not fooling me. I know you're going to go heee.
