By the way, do you know how I can remove the words dog walker from my profile. I see it when I post. I have no idea where it comes from. I don't even have a dog.

Everyone starts out as a dogwalker. The designations change as you add more and more posts. Almost any message board has these designations which are chosen by the board. At FCA, the designations are all jobs one might have with Clay, with dogwalker being the low job on the list. To change your desigation, you must post. After 50 posts you move up to the next level (I've forgotten what it is).

questions about the gala....

when are the tickets going on sale...

what hotel is everyone staying in... where is the gala going to be...

if you book hotel room... can you cancel after if you don't go...

Many people are staying at the Gala hotel, but there will be people staying in other locations as well. There are many hotels in downtown Raleigh.

NB that hotel cancellations must be done PRIOR to your reservation date, and differ as couchie said. They can't be cancelled after the fact, and the hotel will charge you if you don't show up without cancelling.

Mydaughter and I have a room booked at the Marriott and .....providing we are lucky enough to get tickets...we would love to meet with everyone for breakfast. I posted before but I didn't see our names on the updated list.

Sounds like there is some interest in having an after-Gala breakfast again this year.

Last year we held it HERE in the hotel. They have a buffet brunch which is very nice at $12.95 (last year's price) and were able to put us in a private room at the back of the restaurant.

I believe we chose 9 AM last year.

If you would like to be included, please add your name to the thread, and as time nears I will make the arrangements with the hotel.

AWEsome to see so many people both planning on being there, and joining us for breakfast....canfly, we'll keep it at 9 AM because there will be people leaving that day for home...but I'm sure there'll be a bunch who might like a later seating as well...

FearofH20 has suggested having a beadforlife party at this event, which I think is a great idea! I will check with the hotel and see how they feel about having a table set up in the room where we're having breakfast.

You're on this list which I just brought over from the first post on the thread. I added the +1, which did get left off, and changed the "up to here" date. I'm going to delete the list quoted a few posts prior so there isn't confusion.

Hi :hello:evelyn, last year we each paid at the brunch. It was so nice and we had a room to ourselves. Look forward to mmeting you and everyone on the list, not Jerome's.

I'm so looking forward to know if I'll get a ticket. I will just love meeting all of you.

I've got it all set up luckiest. It's a cinch from the US. I just had to give them my credit card # and some information. They sent me an email that it was all set up. I'm due to receive the package a week before the event.

I believe I'll get 250 various necklaces and other items. What I don't sell at the breakfast , I'll take into work and see if anyone else is interested there.
