As my daughter put it I will be glamping! I have rented a small apartment but I’m not taking any furniture. Blow up bed, fold up table and a bean bag chair. Last time I did this I rented furniture but it seems a waste of $500 a month. However I already have the WiFi sorted and I’m taking a tv and my fire stick so I’m fine. I’m taking kitchen stuff and that’s it. My main computer died this week so it’s going into storage and I’ll figure it out later. My daughter lives about 100 yards away so if I need anything I can get it. ‘For Xmas I received a gift certificate to put pics on a thumb drive so I’m going to get those ready while I’m in the apt. As it’s just me I think it will be fun.

Hi there! All is good as I now have WiFi in my apartment. I am out of the house and I closed today. I’m so glad that’s over with. Less stress! Now to find another house.

Interesting weekend for me so far. Received an email last night — I’ve won a M&G, along with two tickets to a show, and signed merchandise for the vocal group Straight No Chaser! It was some silly “follow us on Spotify” contest, and lo and behold I won! Therefore, I’ll be going to St. Louis in December along with my husband. I’ve seen them a few times before, and they are GREAT, but this will be my first M&G with them, other than a brief autograph line. And then today — I upgraded my iPad! I also have a new keyboard case. My old iPad was 5 years old, and actually, it sitll worked pretty well. But, it’s nice to have a speedy iPad, and an easier way to type on it!

Greetings and salutations! (waves madly at the FCA, wonders if I still have mod privileges and manfully resists the urge to jiggle everything) Since I am currently listening to Solo's recording of Kyrie in Dallas, my fingers automatically went to post on the board. Hey to all my old friends (and to those who don't know who the hell the eHP is, nothing can be proven and we have never been convicted!) I am so not a nostalgic person, but last night took me back (although I admit, for a second I was wonder why Anderson Cooper was singing to me). It was crazy fun. Clay was playing to the hard core target audience...purply-blue shirt with the gray inner button placket and gray slacks (but no tie). And they didn't fit the way they did back in the day, but hell, neither are the fans. We even got a shirt tug. We got a little of Don't Save it All for Christmas Day. I was happy and what else matters!

It is hard to believe it’s been 15 years, time sure does fly by. I was 14 when Clay was on Idol. I didn’t have internet then honestly I wasn’t worried I would never see Clay after the show was over since I saw what happened with Kelly and Justin I was mad he didn’t win for while especially with living in the Raleigh area. All I remember about that summer is it took me a week to get the TITN / BOTW single in my hands , I couldn’t wait to go to the Idol tour my very first concert. I somehow was in the 12th row with a couple other friends I’ll never forget how loud the screaming was for Clay. These past 15 years have been filled with ups and downs, music ,joy memories and friendships!

Belated holiday wishes from the Panama Canal. It’s hot and humid but really interesting.

It really was a great show. So typically Clay and he definitely appeared to be large and in charge. I don’t do stage door any more. I have enough signatures and photos that I think it’s only fair to let someone who has never met him get the chance! ‘I overheard some not-fans saying they loved the show. One guy said you know I hate xmassy stuff but this was good. I have to be honest that it’s perfect for the time of the year because you can get away with so much more. The same type of show, just variety, would probably never make it any more. Clay just looked so happy upon the stage. Ruben was, how shall we say, a little more restrained. Oh heck a lot more restrained. ‘I do wish I could see it again but when you’ve planned a Panama Canal cruise for next week there’s no way. If they do it again next year I will so be there. In fact maybe I’ll plan my next years Christmas around that. Hmm! Christmas in New York is always good.

Happy Thanksgiving Canada! Hope it was great for all of you! We're at the time when we need a new thread -- finally! It takes us a while anymore.... Anyway, I'm proposing this new thread title, based on something our long lost KAndre posted earlier: We're happy with Clay, and what else matters. Original quote: "I was happy, and what else matters." Thoughts?

Thank you everyone your congratulations really mean I a lot to me I still can’t believe it! ill try to write more of a recap tonight, here’s my pre party pics I took.

Omg. Kandre posted!😂 indeed it was crazy fun. As usual Clay was being Clay. And it was glorious. The fan girl in me came right back out and I love him for that. I think the best part was the invisible tug! He so knows the fandom. The place went wild! Clay asked us who was there sharing a room with someone they didn’t know before 2003 and then said how many of you still don’t know peoples real names. I think the whole place shouted yes to both questions and laughed their heads off! There was a certain gentleman in the balcony who had to be impressed with Clays stage presence and ability to “work” the crowd. ( Discreet reference to news in the member private section. ) I know he almost lost his voice but after drinking some unknown concoctions that we’re delivered to him on stage he sounded really good. That boy needs to sing on regular basis. Hmm!

I volunteered at the power of play conference this week with a friend from Ohio, it was fun, inspiring time! Last night was fun Clue we were broken up in teams by a color we were given, we went around the museum doing challenges to get clues to figure out who did it. I really liked the Keynote speaker who spoke yesterday morning Kathie snow she was excellent!

Clays grandmothers video is up. It brought tears to my eyes. I may have come from across the pond but so many of those pics reminded me of home. Her great grandchildren are too cute. (Hint, hint)

I DM'd Ken at the Ruben and Clay Instagram account, asking to see the pit area for tonight's show. He messaged back: "Who doesn't love Ben?" EEEEEEEE!

Wow! Thanks for the videos. It is pouring down snow here in NC. Newspaper said 12 inches so far. About twice as much as we normally get in a snowfall. I am enjoying having some time to myself since I can't go out in this weather. Takes several days before the streets are plowed. Our development has private streets so we have already been plowed once, not that you could tell several hours later. Got a steroid shot in my knee and can walk again so I am thinking of going out to NYC after Christmas. Start wrapping for the NIP on Friday and three more days after that so before Christmas is almost impossible to do. But after may be doable. .

Between The Grinch and Clay and Ruben I haven't laughed this much at a promo run in ages!! 😂😂 Unfortunately I'm unable to go (working in retail doesn't exactly allow taking vacations in December) but I am loving everything that's being brought over. Thank you for all the hard work!

Something a little different: a WUNC radio interview with the author of a new book, “The Children of Harvey Milk: How LGBTQ Politicians Changed the World.” http://www.wunc.org/post/open-and-out-office#stream/0 - Author Andrew Reynolds "joins host Frank Stasio to talk about the North Carolinians who are a part of this history, from Pauli Murray to Clay Aiken." Haven't listened - I suspect Clay isn't discussed at length, but still nice to see him mentioned in this context.

How did playbiller and I miss the eHP? Great show. Laughed so hard at Clay, comedian extraordinaire. He was a little hoarse after the auctions so kept drinking water. The auctioneer and Clay were so funny too. They added stuff to auction until Clay got the amount he wanted. Nothing for me to bid on as they no longer do the baskets or small items. Even the send a child to camp has a $300. limit. Just glad that they were able to get to where they needed to be. While he performed His cousin brought out a new bottle of water. He took a taste and said "whats in here?essential oils I suppose" and made a face. Later his assistant brought him some tea and honey which really seemed to help his voice and he finished strong. Singer great, band great. The Gala started at 8 and lasted until 11:30 and the audience was still disappointed that it ended. So funny when Ethel danced with Clay, Ben and Shaun during Purple Rain. Congratulations to Twilight who got a founders award. Another to Dancermom of CV. Both very deserving recipients. Loved your speech Twilight.

The eHP is the Evil Houston Posse! Back in the day, we ended up with a reputation of being a little anti social. We weren’t, just didn’t drink the koolaid and saw through the bs! We also tended to get into some fun situations....yep I think we were even on Jerome’s “list”. We drove all over this country and had a blast. I think my favourite incident is when we got stopped by a state trooper in Texas who thought I was being kidnapped!

He does seem like a good person. During when they were performing Demons he talked about how he has battled with depression how it’s important to each out to friends, family it’s ok if you need to see a therapist, how your not broken.

I'm into Clay's choice of artwork. Really like both pieces from both artists. Now we can imagine what we would see as his portrait if he should become President of the US.
