  1. Don't ask me why I remember this, but the People cover broke on September 23, 2008. If I remember right (as luckiest said), cindilu was there that evening. I also think jmh was there as well. The story broke immediately after his return to Spamalot.
  2. From Clay, about Parker, but it sums up most of us here too: He owns us.
  3. cha cha, the advertisement (shown last Friday) for ET mentions Clay talking about Parker's surgery, so I think you'll still have to watch this evening! Great photo montage!
  4. ETOnline.com Clay Aiken on Fatherhood and Coming Out to the World Includes a 3 1/2 minute video interview.
  5. It did mine too, for a bit...but it also made me want to "Jann Carl" him to a bit -- lightly smack him on the head! And then hug him. *joining the hug line now*
  6. ET with Clay! (Video link!) Love him talking about him taking care of Parker..."he owns us." LOL! Such a great interview, and I think this is gonna be different from tonight's airing! (Or, I hope so, anyway...)
  7. (bolding mine)...Yes I do! K'andre You rock! Kim As a fellow Virgo -- WOOHOO!!!!! I'm still KAndre's minion. Just sayin'. Happy birthday Mr. Clay Aiken! You've brought so much into my life, including to learn to love roller coasters. *g* Thank you dude.
  8. Great banner cindi! My Spamism, for some reason, is "to wit" from the King (right before he comes through with the joke "why do they call it the Middle Ages when nothing comes after us?"). Also...during DH and my trip to Disney World, anytime we needed to get a certain Disney song out of our head ("Small World" anyone? Shudder), I'd start to sing "Bright Side of Life." Jaymes would not be happy with me. LOL I'm KAndre's minion for a reason.
  9. Totally agree on the Photobucket thing. Also doesn't seem to play well with Mozilla.... From the CV: Man, I wish I could have been there. And I totally understand this section: Bolding mine. Gee, you think Clay?
  10. aikim, as the Partridge Family sang, I think I love you... More recaps from the chat this afternoon: From CV: More from CV: And one more set... Via CV:
  11. aikim, I'm afraid and laughing at the same time. You go Clay! I love ATDW too! And now for something completely different, from the OFC message board (you need to be logged in to read): Clay on the Thanksgiving Parade gives someone the courage to come out to his family
  12. He didn't seem sarcastic about his answer of ATDW being his favorite album. No indication of what kinds of covers. couchie, RCA wasn't really mentioned, but at least he talked about a new album! Didn't seem like he was "spinning." Cellcerters opinion was that they are shooting for commercial success (including radio), and the thought is that covers would help in that regard. Spoke to Simon (his manager) and Jaymes about this.
  13. Would he do a variety show, a reality show, or Spamalot the movie? Spamalot because it's the most logical. Someone asked him about the production of "The Civil War" that's going to be on Broadway soon, and if he was going to be a part of it. He said "I didn't make much of an impression of those in Washington, because I know nothing about it!" Kept running his hand through his hair, so his hair was short and sticking up.
  14. Ficus and MLK were front row center, so they didn't take notes. He started on a stool, but then just sat on the stage, leg hanging off the stage. Biggest practical joke: Pittsburgh show, Jacob's girlfriend was in the audience, and they had someone propose marriage to her! Put hands up, Clay called on people, teacher style, and then told them to get "the hell out of dodge!" Question about if he would work with Kipper, and that's when he came up with the "the fans aren't going to like this, but we're looking at possible covers, so probably not."
  15. From the cellcert via Ficus: The next album will not be original stuff, he loved ATDW. ATDW was his favorite thing he's ever done! The only thing off limits was Parker, no "happy birthday," no asking for pictures. Didn't want to get political, but would talk to President-Elect Obama about UNICEF, political boundaries should not matter...example, the children of Iran. He would love to do Tom Deckman's role, because that role has no dancing! Kentucky sweatshirt, mismatched socks. Loved the AIW hair, but couldn't do it himself. So his favorite hair is what he has now. His favorite song in Spamalot is Bright Side of Life -- Jaymes gets mad at him when he gets home and is singing that. McVargas girls asked "What question would you ask your fans?" Answer: "why the hell are you still here?" Fondest memory of the show is being part of the team -- loved working TOGETHER for the good of the show. No international work, for now -- they have to sell CD's to make that to work, and digital downloads are more profitable. Who would he tour with? Kelly C. They joke about touring with her in 25 years, doing Bette Midler and Barry Manilow. Taking time off after Spamalot. BAF and UNICEF stuff in the works, plus something else, but nothing definite yet. Also taped something yesterday, but not Christmas song for the morning shows. Something in the works, though...but elusive about tour plans. Would love to play something on ER, would love to be on the final show, would also love to be on 30 Rock. Everything else he likes has been cancels. Used to like Anderson Cooper, but now it's all about AC! LOL. Doesn't want opinions with his news, just THE NEWS. Female anchors during CNN during the day (anyone know who?), likes them. Any mention of being a father, he would just say "next question."
  16. From the CV: Reports on the cellcert should be soon, I would think. couchie -- we got our Christmas decorating done today. Earliest we've ever got it done, too. And guess what? 2-4 inches of snow predicted overnight!
  17. This is several years old, and I wish someone would make an updated version, but since couchie insisted for Clay pictures, I thought this would fit the conversation for today.... ETA: Spamalot report from CV:
  18. *crosses fingers and toes for the ET appearance* I think if ET is promoting it, it will probably happen this time. *also prays that no one famous has a baby or dies over the weekend* You know...Clay's hair yesterday was funky. But...I can't believe this guy went out looking like this. And supposedly, he's HAWT. *shrug* I think Clay looked pretty darn good compared to this....
  19. From the CV via the CH, second half report from toni7babe and Scarlett:
  20. ldyj, someone's been listening to you. ebay just added Clay's top hat to the auction (and right now, it's going for $5. hee. right. like that will happen. lol) Oh man. But 45 minutes after you've posted, it's up to $560! (With the reserve NOT met yet, hee!). ETA: after composing my post, it's now up to $1000...and the reserve has been met. I feel like bidding, just to say I've bid... *crosses fingers for winning the lottery tonight* Never inappropriate to blast Clay from your car! I found myself listening to the radio today as well, with the Christmas station, in hopes of hearing Clay. Alas, not to be. But I have hopes -- according to moonhead at the CH, OHN has picked up a lot of steam this year, and I can only hope that I'll hear Clay's version at some point this season. I laughed at people's reaction to his hair because its like he has thousands of mothers out there who worry about how he looks. I can't say that I really don't pay much attention to his hair or make-up or clothes. I just see Clay and that beautiful smile and personality, and his almost total lack of concern for his appearance is just part of what makes him so adorable to me. And considering how bad some of these celebrities, especially singers, look these days, he looks pretty damn good to me. So much WORD. I find his lack of vanity totally endearing -- especially since he's in a business that focuses so much on looks and appearance. Granted I love him when he looks especially hawt (I'll take AMA 2006 for $1000, please Alex), but I find him just as charming when he looks as if he's just fallen out of bed, or when he's added just a LITTLE too much bleach to the head. LOL. It's the man I love, not the appearance.
  21. Nah. Sell each piece separately. 'Cause I'd want either the vest or the tophat. Of course, spooky would outbid me in about 0.2 seconds...
  22. Happy day after Thanksgiving -- hope everyone is having a great day shopping! LOL. Not me though, maybe later today. Mom was doing OK yesterday, and we had a good time with her. She was pretty good about the news of me going to NYC in December. YAY! MUAH to jmh for quoting me last night. The Rosie appearance was an interesting mix of Clay Aiken and Sir Robin, rolled into one, and I personally loved it. The parade clip is quite good, and I would have loved to see the sweater he was wearing! At least we know he still has the puffy marshmallow coat. Hee. The story of meeting Sweater Girl was hilarious, and I simply loved him talking about Parker and the meaning that he's added to his life. The makeup threw me a bit, but whatever. It's his personality, ya'll. I'll take that any day. bottlecap, what a cute great-niece! I'd post pictures of all my grand nieces and nephews (that's what my husband says is really the correct term, grand...), but it would take days. 13 altogether! Claymatron, I'm glad everything worked out for you, and that you found a good tech at the store who had some patience with you. Sometimes those pesky kids look at your rather exasperated when you can't figure out exactly it is you need!
  23. Happy Thanksgiving Everyone! I'm off to visit my Mom for today...and to break to her the news that I won't be there for Christmas this year, because I will be seeing boyfriend. I'm honestly not sure how she'll take this. But we'll go see her again right after New Year's. luckiest, I've actually always wanted to try turducken! Sure, it looks weird, but since I really like all three ingredients.... Sad I'll be missing the parade live! Guh. I've always loved that picture. Nice coat too. Oh man before I leave...I think I need to watch Sir Robin from last night again...
