  2. Just got off the phone with couchie. Please send some good thoughts toward her mother, as they went to the emergency room last night (which couchie said, seems typical for them whenever there is vacation time!). It sounds as if they are going to keep her Mom in the hospital until at least Saturday. In the meantime, couchie was waiting for her transportation back to the resort -- they took her and her Mom to the hospital in an ambulance, which means she had no car to get back "home!" Clay related: couchie was wearing her beloved Clay Aiken hoodie, and just as the techs were starting a test on her Mom, someone asked couchie about Clay! I think couchie had more on her mind than Clay at that moment! LOL!
  3. With merrieee's permission (PWEEEZE!!!!), I'd like to modify this to... And suggest it as a thread title!
  4. annabear, I at that Jerome thing too... *big sigh of relief* From the CH via CB via CV:
  5. I like that. Sounds like a really cool benefit. Wish I could go. *investigates last minute flights to NYC* I hope Clay is feeling much better today. Maybe seeing Parker every night now (as well as Jaymes) will help in his recovery! I also hope that Clay has his "script" ready for the celebrity roast tomorrow!
  6. {{{{{muski}}}}}}. Hmmmm....my work sucks. Maybe you could work for me, and I could try to work with your daughter? Nah. Sorry. I love you, but I'm NOT a teenager person. Sending good wishes to crimsonice and peace of mind to her beautiful Mom, luckiest1. That picture is gorgeous!!!!! He's got the best grin, doesn't he?

  9. Regarding the most important topic of today... I think the sideburns have been there since last weekend, and maybe even before then. Comparing those pictures from last night with the pictures over the weekend (such as the one from the CH banner at the moment), it looks as if the length of the sideburns hits the same place on his ears. It's just the difference in the hairstyles (or in the case of last night, non-hairstyle). I personally prefer it with the sideburns not showing as much. JMO, of course. :F_05BL17blowkiss: to annabear, just 'cause.
  10. Don't forget that this is, once again, People magazine. I tend to believe that online article that was published a few weeks ago, talking about his publicist not liking any of the tabloids...except for People. And frankly, I've always thought People was good to him (with the exception of album reviews). With the release of every single one of his albums, there has been some sort of blurb in their magazine, usually with pretty pictures. They covered the IT. They've mentioned every single one of his UNICEF trips, usually with a picture involved. I also think that the 2006 article was fantastic, and the picture that accompanied it was the most thudworthy picture ever.
  11. I'll second this request...and also ask if someone can scan the program? I'd like to see it as well. Yes, I'm supposed to be working...
  12. Cotton, I think you are me, as we seem to be sharing a brain a lot lately. The only difference is that you got to go to the Gala, and I, well, didn't. I do think there is a lot of "connecting of dots" with the addition of RHW to the program, by the fans. Heck, I've done it myself, although I have to admit it took me a bit to make the connection. Again, though, this is one of those "personal filter" things -- some saw it. Some didn't. *shrug* claylove, I don't mind in the least. Very nice pictures!
  13. keldanker, thank you for sharing your story this weekend. I am glad that you were able to share (and receive) the love that was in that room. I'm sad for your friend, but I agree with couchie that I hope somehow, someway, the message and the love with reach through to her heart. And behold, the power of clack.... Your story made me happy gbmifan. Give your friend a big hug from me.
  14. Cotton, very nice not-a-recap. I'm hoping that next year, after paying for my trips to see Clay on tour (*g*), I can afford to go to the Gala. Wonder what other stuff they can auction?
  15. I don't know if Claygirl's still here, but if she's like me she probably doesn't know how to find the members only area? Members Only area. This is in our Welcome section, toward the top of the board index. It's a good place to put things you want to share with people, but not with EVERYONE...such as pictures of yourself! PSA for couchie: if ya'll would use "View New Posts" at the top of the page...*g* Cotton, I took care of it!
  16. claygirl, it's part of a photo montage that (I think) was one of the silent auction items from last night. Here's the montage itself: And here's my favorite picture from that montage: I'd very much like to recline with the guy in jeans and a tie....
  17. I just added Scarlett's mp3s to my iPod so I'll have something to listen to on the treadmill this afternoon. The auction clack is priceless. Watching him hug that bust of himself; watching him chide us about our terms for the Wango Tango shirt; "berating" us for being rude when we completed YWSOB; and so much more. God, I love him.
  18. Isn't that the truth. And I think this would be a really good thread title. I also hope that some of those who were questioning their fandom a few weeks ago were able to listen to that version of RHW, and hopefully find some peace, one way or the other. It's hard to explain really, but IMO...that song was a very clear message to me, that he's a patient man, but yet is one that hasn't really changed from who he was before the "announcement." He's still Clay, and I hope that RHW suggested to some people that. Pictures from toni7babe:
  19. I just watched the two clips (so far) from last night. Toast. How DOES he do that to me?
  20. Good Lord, is he looking good. My download of the jacket auction finally finished. I :::heart::: him. That's all. 'Night!
  21. From NYMom4Clay at the CB: You expect me to be that coherent???? I'll try - EIDN OUR Clay complete with growls and wails and instinctive audience thudding. Seriously, you didn't think so much as just react to the sound. It reminded me of vintage NAT Clay. The crying during RHW was pretty personal and quiet until that last moment. If I'm recalling correctly (and you'll have to excuse if I'm still somewhat hazy) it was after he pulled away from the mic and was singing softly and he paused a beat and in the quiet you could hear all the sniffles and quiet sobs. It actually almost made me laugh because it was like one collective sniff. For the line of OMWH - it was the line faith has conquered fear and he held his arms out and gestured for us to sing it. I think he did it because there had been an audible audience reaction the first time he sang the line. So it was like he was responding to that. The entire evening was a unique combination of wrenching, heartwarming, inspirational, emotional and just plain old fun. The atmosphere in the room really recalled the joy of being with Clay in concert.
  22. Ask and you shall receive...three random pictures via toni7babe: Damn, anna beat me to it, but I'm still leaving this one...what a cute grin....
  23. From the CB: Leather jacket and partial of the stool auction: http://www.sendspace.com/file/8bfblk It's sloooooooooooow loading though....
  24. Pictures of the BAF video, via SmartyPantsSuz at CV: Now all we need a photo of him from the actual GALA!!!! Hurry up clack people! I'm impatient... YAY luckiest1! ETA: More, this time from the photo montage that they auctioned off...GUH.
