  1. Oh, guh. What a beautiful picture. DIVA!!! Sorry to hear about your back. I'll be sending lots of white light your way... BWAH!!! And....um...yum..... HEE! He is certainly DWEAMIE, isn't he?!?!? As far as his knowing it goes...yeah, actually I think he does know it by now. IMO, it's finally starting to sink in to him that women find him DWEAMIE, or else they are holding signs saying . Now, how truly comfortable he is with that, I have no idea. And I just have a suspicion he'll keep that part of him hidden publicly. My main point, though, is that he's sexiest when he just is -- as much as I laughed when Tyra called him on his eyefucks, I think there are times when he has no idea he's doing them, he's just doing whatever he feels. He's not trying to eyefuck -- it just comes naturally. And I see in preview that keepingfaith and I have different ideas on this. Different strokes and all that stuff. Strokes. Heh. Hell, I'm still confusing, aren't I? But at least jamar and lickiest1 kinda sorta understand me. NeedAnotherConcert Blues has been affecting me for the past few weeks too. *sigh* Lady, you're no newbie no more with that statement. You've graduated all the way to master lechery. Yep, she's gonna fit in JUST fine. muski. Venting is good. After the concert banter last night, this made me LOL and pee in my pants at the same time. Ooo, I said "pee". [tmQuiana] Sooooo, we can smut here too? *unpacks all her bags and settles in* You had to ASK?!?!? WOOHOO for couchie...you'll never go back!
  2. Oh dear, I thought keepingfaith and I were twins separated at birth. I see it is not to be. No, it's not because of the "criticism" (while I love Mr. Camp, I can see your point), but because I can't totally agree with this: See, I think when he gets it pointed out to him (with catcalls, whistles, etc.), he gets all embarrassed by it, and that's when he starts kinda overdoing it. I know it's kind of a Catch-22, because we all want to whistle and cheer and scream "Take it off" when he does some of these things, but I do think that makes him aware of it and starts to turn into a joke for him. I've said this for a long time, and not many people agree with me on this, but I'm really the most attracted to him when he doesn't know he's being sexy. When he starts believing the hype is when I start to think, "OK, he's still cute and shit, but jeez..." Know what I mean?
  3. That Clay. Such a comedian. Philly -- "Now I'm a Man" on YouTube
  4. I'm always forgetting things: From bottlecap: They got some really nice pictures there. Pro-photographers don't always do so well, but this one did IMO.
  5. OK, OK, OK....I surrender. The man has a cute little butt. *slinks off* OTOH, I also feel really OLD watching him with those low-riders. Not that I don't appreciate them on HIM, per se...but does anyone remember Denis Leary when he was still mostly doing stand up? He did an hilarious routine about him going into a coffee shop and wanting to yell at the snot-nosed kid at the counter, "pull up those pants! And give me some coffee-flavored coffee, dammit!" So when I see guys in lowriders, I'm afraid that my first thought is "pull up your pants!!!!" When it involves Clay, though....well, I guess I need to rethink my position. *imagines rethinking positions with Clay*
  6. Distractions ahead!!!! And I love this one, not because of Clay, but because Q&A: Back to...whatever it is we were talking about....
  7. JennaZ, I was going to edit this down, but I couldn't. Everything in it rings so very true for me. As a matter of fact, most of your posts the past few days have made me nod my head in agreement (the "Clay sees himself as a product of TV" post comes immediately to mind). I've honestly never been "mad as hell" for Clay. That probably sounds to some people that I "don't care enough" about Clay. That's not it at all. I truly do want the best for Clay -- always have, always will. The reason I've never really gotten mad for Clay is simply this -- he's a grown man. He chooses to conduct his life in the way he sees fit. And while I'm sure he probably has used some choice swear words over certain situations in the past few years while in private -- in the public forum, he's acted with grace for the most part IMO. I simply choose to follow his lead on all this. Another part of this is that he's grown and learned from this past year or so. I know it hurts to watch when someone I care about is going through what I see as possible difficult situations -- and yet I can't help but think that he's come out of this stronger, more mature, smarter. I really feel that most people don't learn from their successes...but they truly do learn from their failures. (BTW, I'm not saying that ATDW is a "failure" -- not to me, anyway. Still lovin' that album. OK, so it could have sold more...but that's another topic....)
  8. Heh. I must have a short memory, because I'd forgotten about that. But I remember it now! Anyway, I can limit the shows down to probably Albany, NY; Columbus, OH; or Jackson, MI -- during the NAT. My reason for limiting is that I went to the show immediately after these three, the Illinois State Fair. They had no bass player that night for that show. I remember very well Clay making mention that S'Von had a lot to do that evening. Anyway, if anyone has a better memory for the clack from those shows...
  9. Gah, why do I have to work? I want to sit and read and reply to you great women and watch clack and download pictures.... Anyway, just a quick message to say YAY to lickiest1, cindilu2, laughn and bottlecap for getting to see a fantastic show. I missed the cellcert last night (BAD fan, I know....but I was too into Harry Potter!), so the recaps and pictures I'm getting are fantastic. bottle, I love your PEOPLE. *g* Can't wait for more. And keepingfaith -- thanks for the grin picture. God, I love that smile. Almost forgot -- watched Listen this morning. Um. Yeah. That was pretty darn good. I personally wouldn't call it outstanding, but for an "on the fly" moment, that was great. One more edit -- I like this one for some reason.... Oh hell, let's keep going... And he can put his hands on his hips like this ANY time...
  10. Nice avi Philly. :F_05BL17blowkiss:
  11. I don't think the feet, and other corresponding body parts, are big enough...
  12. It's an early one tonight! WOOHOO!!!!! :Tour3:
  13. Posthoing....found by CAP at CV, an article for tonight's show from The Oakland Press: Interesting that he's talking about boxes... I love him so very much. (I like being schmoopie too institches....but I think you knew that....)
  14. OMG, how could I forget that lickiest1 and crew were going tonight?!?!? Have fun ladies!!! :Tour3: :TourExcite: :Tour3: :TourExcite: :F_05BL17blowkiss:
  15. This ALWAYS needs to be repeated....hope you and laughn have another wonderful concert this evening! Yeah that YSRN. I'm in for this too. Living in the here and now is much more fun for me than living in the past. This is masterful, and a wonderful analogy! I think what I need to keep reminding myself is that while I truly believe he'll get his new bike, it may not STILL be on the timeframe for Clay's (or my) liking. It's always felt to me that people want him to get everything in his career RIGHT NOW, and I just can't buy that. His next bike may have more new parts, but it still may have a banana seat instead of a comfy new seat. If he gets the shiny new bike on his next go-around, I'll be thrilled along with Clay. If he gets that one with mostly new parts -- I'll still be thrilled for him. That's pretty much the nature of my fandom -- to be thrilled by Clay. I know I'm easy like that....and I honestly don't see that as a problem.
  16. Geez, I haven't been in here for a while either.... Greetings to Savonnette and Philly! Philly, thanks for posting the picture of the M&G pass -- I'm deathly in love with that picture. Wish I had one of my own. *sob*
  17. couchie, this makes total sense to me...and it's something I've been saying in this fandom for a LONG time. It took me a while to realize this, but it is amazing how much learning goes on during rough times, or when someone makes a mistake. I think Clay knows this and these past few years have been an incredibly learning experience for him -- good or bad. And I've been known to be rather frustrated at some in the fandom for wanting everything PERFECT for him, when in fact it would be better for him to have a few stumbling blocks from time to time IMO. Just one of my bugaboos... As far as this latest "news" goes -- it sounds to me that most people here are saying approximately the same thing with minor variations. Clay had recorded material, something happened that it didn't pass muster, and then Clay had a choice. At this point for me, I'm at the point where I can't even think about speculating what happened IN THE PAST. I'm just incredibly happy that I have ATDW in my hands (still love listening to the entire album almost every day), and will look forward to whatever Clay comes up with next...however long it takes. One other thing : ITA that we all are using our filters with what is being reported at the M&Gs. I tend to go along with lickiest1 in that I think at least some of the pod theories are being shot down....but at the same time, my filters are getting reshifted with what's being reported. Some of these stories (such as BFM being not a favorite) really threw me for a loop as well. You know what? That's OK. It may be discomforting a bit for me, but that's part of the learning curve. It was a great report. She did a fantastic job. If you're lurking anntherese -- thanks!
  18. Cool blog post about last night's show from a "dragged" husband, found by notacanuck at the CH:
  19. laughn, this really cracked me up. I love the way Clay and Jerome can pick on each other in such a familiar way. Thank you for the great recap, especially about the crowd. I would have loved to have seen all the drunked guys being won over actually -- that's my kind of crowd! Hee.
  20. jamar, sounds like your library had it's HP party planned quite, quite well. Good job! To reward yourself, go watch some clack -- and then get some sleep! Oh, and give DD a hug from me. This is one of those instance where you could see the joke coming from a mile away...and yet I still Hee. Congrats to muskidaughter!!!! playbiller, thanks for providing a link to that review. I think "pop" shows, as a general rule, tend to be reviewed badly because most "pop" shows aren't "cool." Therefore, I think this review came out pretty darn well. You're right! I remember when this venue was announced, and the librarian in me was saying "CAS? The Science Publishers?" So I had to check it out. I probably should have tried my best to get there just because of that location! Hee. Aw, c'mon....what's a little embarrassment between family and friends, right? [/jk] Actually, I understand totally. HEE! Isn't it the most amazing feeling in the world? Unfortunately, it's very addictive. I've got the credit card bills to prove it. :F_05BL17blowkiss: Jesse! I just watched the pre-WISYS clack, and it is comedy gold, as usual. Picking on Ethel, picking on drunk guys, picking on late-comers, picking on people who didn't buy tickets -- in other words, a typical Clay Aiken show. Gotta love it. MWAH institches! I know what you mean about the ulcers, but I think I'm better now that I'm here.
  21. The Columbus Dispatch Aiken's Appearance Thrills Female Crowd The article was revised on July 23, with the change of title ("Singer's Fans Ready to Cheer"), and the addition of a paragraph at the end....
  22. Very cool bottlecap about the poster. It confirms my theory, though, that they 3000 posters per venue, not total. Either way, still very cool. And I'm glad you had a faboo time. Please tell us more...especially about the jeans and how they fit on the thighs. (Forget the butt, I'm in love with the thighs....) But I do want to see him wiggle his butt too....after church maybe?
  23. I'm going to miss at least the first half of this show tonight due to hubby time. Obviously, bottlecap is at the show. Who will cover the CV cellstream? See y'all later, hopefully.
  24. Heh...I was just going to come in here and recommend the same two clips. The entrance of his during HYCA, in front of the pipe from that massive pipe organ, really is thrilling. (BONUS: at the beginning of the clip, jojoct scans the crowd, and I managed to find lickiest1 and her daughter in the second row!) And that BYLM has some pretty, pretty close-ups during the second verse. Yummy. (And I've always loved that song, so for him to dedicate it to MEEEE as a fan makes me schmoopie.) CG, are you looking for stunning vocals? Silly humor? Or eyef***s? That would help to know this. I tend to go for the "silly humor," so most of my downloads have been of the two medleys. *scurries off to download*
