  1. OOOOH strong opinions and the very opinions that drew a few of us together originally. I don't mind career talk as long as it is recognized that we don't know jack shit about Clay's contract or how things really work in the offices of RCA and that these are only passing thoughts/opinions not the definitive solutions to everything. I have always enjoyed conspiracy theories in a fun way until it came to this fandom and it has pretty much spoiled that pasttime for me. When people start repeating misstatements over and over until they become the final absolute truth, ARGH. I will appreciate the fandom more when people actually recognized that the whole world is not out to subvert and hide Clay's talent and we can just enjoy him when we see him and ignore the crap and stop hurting so many people by declaring them bad fans. Performers need fans, even if I don't like someone, every additional fan is an additional sale. Driving out fans does not help anyone except the ego of the person who drove them out. no one wins and Clay loses every.single.time. Things I have learned from owning a dog - rewarding good behavior is more effective than punishing bad behavior - so I ignore idiots on the internet and give hits to positive mentions - always. Rewarding good behavior consistantly is a good thing (tm. Martha Stewart - who also owns dogs along with Clay and many others) Then there is speaking simply and clearly. I only have long complex conversations with my dog to amuse myself, the dog does not care. ooh, yes, and it would also be nice if some people recognized that sometimes the insiders just hear pieces of things and they are either misinterpreted or misheard more often than not. While parts of stuff may come true, rarely does it come true the way it was initially presented Apologies to Akim, my computer kept crashing yesterday when I was trying to get that clip, so I never got to photo bucket to get a birthday thingie, and I am off now, so I won't be getting one for Manderley. KF, you need to get that Clip for Fear, I have to leave now.
  2. I have it, I just have to attatch my hard drive, give me a minute. Duh, of course I would have that one, heh. My computer keeps crashing. can't do it, someone else will have to do it.
  3. After getting familiar with these grosses, the most amazing part of the increase was the immediate leap of the average ticket price jumping back into the $70s after loling in the middle 60's. What I expect is a drop back nw.I don't think many people are goingthis wek, which is why I want to try and attend like Wednesday next week.
  4. Goiod morning, I just got up from my nap. Got your names, will be mailing things out probably on Thrusday. BC I will PM you. I am heading to the beach for 2 quick days to drop off some equipment and head back to deal with the house painter.
  5. Remember when people were happy about any appearance of Clay? Clay has a relationship with Diane, and obviously (to me) Diane was playing the friendly version of the devil's advocate for him the ATDW interview, which would have been much worse without that as the baseline interview. I think it sounds interesting, if true - sheesh, I guess we always have to write if true now a days What I find intriguing is that the segmant might have a title, almost as if it is alluding to another - say project? Maybe Clay will finally get Fantasia's revenge of a lifetime story, but That is just a joke, don't get your hopes up people. EEEEE You know my nephew is the craziest high school musical fan ever - lovesto sing and dance to my brothers chagrin. Well, at the fela market yesterday, I entered to win 4 tickets to the opening night at the papermill and WON! I WON SOMETHING, I never win anything, EEEEEE, of course, I won't get to go, but it they can't say I never did anything for them. Now, let's see ifthey are away that weekend for a hockey game.
  6. No, Cotton no autograph on the BCA/EB playbill. It is not being sold, it is being given away to people who say they want it. I could have gotten 100 or so, but did not want to flood the market or be so weighted down, so I got about 1 dozen. Don't PM me now, just say you want it. I need to get stuff out to other people and my PM box is full again. This would be nice if you got the DVD of Clay singing for the show. And... I got the entire Heather Headley BA show, where we have the excerpt of Clay, but could have just purchased the entire DVD!. I guess I need a DVD player now so I can show this stuff off. Speaking of off - Scarlett will be flying out of the airport any minute and I can get to sleep. I think I am lucky she did not steal my puppy, she seemed to get quite attached to my Holly. I think it was their common love of Cheez Doodles that sealed their friendship.
  7. Aw, JustClay, sorry I didn't arrange to meet you, I met so many people, some of them blurred. Wanda, I would like to meet you on one of the gala days, if you are going to another show, maybe something off broadway. today, we were watching the auction and when Clay was auctioned, half the Spam staff was out side, Jerome was grinning like an idiot and Clay was peeking out the window at the bidding. Now some things sold more than Clay, but it was things where they did the split the bid thing if you each pay 8k.... So Clay brought in the most per single item, but not most per show. One of the Vargas girls got a picture of him peeking out.
  8. Back from tonight, sadly, tom was replaced by the guy I have seen play 3 other parts. This guy must have the memory of an elephant to know all the parts. Scarlett is packing. Clay came out to sign playbills, but the woman next to me had her signed and then screamed so loud I turned to see what happened and Clay passed me by. So no autograph for me. I see no one wants an easterbonnet playbill, so I will just send them to random people who bought things from me in the past. Besides getting BC's poster, I got - BCA christmas ornament, the 2006 Playbill yearbook, the 2007 musical snowglobe, bought a chance at seats for High School musicals opening show (my nephew!), bought chances on two tickets to 6 different plays, bought the entire Heather Headley DVD, not just Clay, bought the Easterbonnet DVD,. I think that was enough, I also got more stuff, but forgot what it was.
  9. Ooops Pins arrived this morning to Scarletts great releif, she though she would have to come back for another round of Spamalot. I am trying to talk her back for a generic play weekend, with one spamalot thrown in.
  10. (Scarlett) Finally home after play rescued me from getting off at the wrong bus station, while we were without cell phone contact. (she figured it out when she saw my bus drive by without seeing me get off. thanks, play ) They didn't sing Amen together, Clay sang it first and then the other knights answered. Gibby, that's a pretty accurate description I think. EVERYONE, Clay fans and non-Clay fans joined the standing ovation tonight. The Spam fan / non-Clay fan behind us was practically ROTFL all night and so were other Spam fans across the aisle. There will be gorgeous pictures and at least 2 complete Stage door videos from tonight (vids from xxx4clay and AmerAikenInTexas). More tomorrow... ETA: I wonder what possibilities this might have -- could Clay be the lucky charm for Frank? I've heard more than one person say that Clay is their male equivalent of Linda. Me, I'd be thrilled to even just hear an full mp3 of either Sarah or This is The Moment or Once Upon A Dream or even The World Has Gone Insane(!)
  11. Ah, Scarlett just called and said the other knights sang Amen with Clay tonight. She also said they did an abbreviated stage door tonight, down to 3 panels only, but Clay was talking to the fans, I guess we will all hear when she gets back in the very near future.
  12. BC, got you a playbill... I will send it to you Monday, then I can tell you how much it cost. Probably very little, since I expect to have a few extra, s I won'[t super pack it, if it gets damaged, you will just get another. It really was surprising how many fans were there. vs the usual number of NJU, guess there weren't too many tickets an the 1/2 price place.
  13. It is his spirit, the joy makes him beautiful. It comes put through his skin Too bad I san next to a bunch of bitch-faced fans who only cared about HD and BFM and spent their evening talking about them instead of the joy on Clay's face and the happiness in the entire cast and what a fun event we were at. I usually talk to strangers when I sit alone, not last night though, see, I would have wanted to talk about Clay or the play, although the couple on the other side of the aisle were really sweet. Way to waste your evening people - lets see - gossiping or enjoying, gossiping or enjoying.....Staring at Clay or staring at HD. I made my choice and so did most of the audience, I bet most of the cast have not received applause like that for a long time. The house rocked. I don't know how many seats were still available, but I bet not many. I guess I should have stuck around at the stage door for the other cast members to leave, when Clay leaves, the stage door gets pretty deserted. I do have to say this was a smaller crowd than 1/18 or 5/4 (about 1/2), but still enough to impress a lot of non-fans. And Clay did so great - what was he doing? trying to lower expectations before the show? Could he have been nervous? hee.
  14. All I can say is, you should have been there, What a great time. So much happiness on stage and off. Meeting old freinds again - I can tell you there are enough people who you know will be there every time, right ChaCha? So now I have to read the list of people going to the gala again because obviously, I can't read so good. and thought different people were going, well I am not going maybe that will make up for people who want to go to NYC and can't.
  15. More from Scarlett (play took pity on me and went to bed)... this is several hours too late but Awww, what a blog! ... and now I need to go read back on why he had a picture with Frank Wildhorn (!)... .
  16. Scarlett posting from play's computer: He looked wonderful! There are should be more pictures coming up from toni7babe -- I only saw them from her camera's lcd screen but she was right in front of the stage door so the colors were great; the hair also looked better on her shots.
  17. SO, I can makethe deadline - how many times has Clay come in second?
  18. Well, you can always move your washer and dryer upstairs. I have seen gas tankless water heaters. I have also seen them upstairs in a closet. I bet the guy comes with a french drain idea, doesn't always work. The best thing is - landscaping so water runs away from your house if possible. At the beach, they lift old houses so they are several feet higher, may crack some walls, but people are good at it. You have to secure everything though. Around here, there are some people that had old houses that never flooded until the zoning board took a bribe and build ups so low drainage areas into huge malls, now they always flood. The answer of the army corps of engineers is to build a 4o foot in diameter drain and have it go 30 miles, under my house and empty into a river near here - but but that river could not handle the water, so we would need to cease having access to the water and build dike like walls (this is after I repair the damage to my house from the dynomite under my house) But. But. But we have bridges crossing those rivers and they are low - well, we will have to put doors in these dike like walls that can be closed during a storm. (and the bridges being under water will do what tothem?) but... but...but we have smaller rivers emtying into the bigger river, well we would have to build electric pumps to pump the water over these walls - when will an electric pump fail? Like during a storm maybe? Gatta love the Army corp of engineers, haven't got it right since the panama canal. The simple and cheapest because the builder built it based on a bribe to begin with - no insurance for them.solution would be to tear down the mall. No instead lets spend buillions and damage homes that have stood for over 100 years along a 30 mile route. - not te mentionthe number who will die building this monstrosity.
  19. AI can probably do that BC, but I need help fast - how many times has Clay come in second? I remember BCA/EB, NYT best sellers list, and Ruben - surely there were others. LdyJocelyn And we need to add in honor of the new lady of the lake For the anniversary womand and all these darn weddings!
  20. Jazzgirl, if you pay the big bucks for front loaders, you can get these stands about 2 or 3 feet high to place the washer and dryer on and then store your soap and stuff in. It might be worth your while to have the furnace raised as well. My furnace is about 8 inches off the ground and there is some stuff before the works starts and that is enough to have helped it survive my water misadventures. New furnaces are so much smaller, you can have it put on a metal railing or something. Hurumph, what did I get in the mail? Crap.
  21. OK, I will do it. I had a choice of 7:30 or 5:30 - so I took 5:30 - let me know if that is OK
