  1. 1. Sports Night (I missed that show for a long time after it was cancelled) 2. Two and a Half Men (I know, but it makes me laugh out loud) 3. The Office (not so much recently, though)
  2. Didn't Clay say something last Spring about Idol? Something in that blog that wasn't a blog, or maybe it was a blog, I don't remember.... but when he was addressing the fans about the reception of OMWH, promotion, radio, etc. Didn't he say something (and please don't hold me responsible for accuracy here, this is a sincere question) along the lines of .... why wouldn't he want to be on the top rated show in the country or something along those lines? I don't know what he thinks or what he wants, how he makes his decisions, or what is most likely to happen/not happen. But I know what I think, and I would love it if he were on AI this season or any season. Edited a few times just because Jamar is here, and I know she'd appreciate it..... and it's still not worded clearly. Oy.
  3. He was my favorite that year!!!!!!!! Mine, too. Looks like there are a few of us, and here I thought I was All Alone. (TM King Arthur - yes, the Spam references continue to invade my brain). I'm watching AI and still enjoying it. There are some interesting voices there this season.
  4. One of the syllables in my Clay Syllables Collection, 'yon,' comes from that performance. I loved the whole thing!
  5. Hear Hear (or is it Here Here?). Whichever...... I couldn't agree more!
  6. Ah, Careless Whisper...... I LOVE that song. It is a film all by itself in my head. Doesn't Clay look CUTE ?
  7. I suppose there is a lot of truth in what you say, JaMar, but I believe that people can open their minds to information that doesn't fit their belief system. Rational people, with a desire to explore ideas, that is. As for that label 'Clay Aiken'.... oy, poor guy doesn't even own it, it seems sometimes. If I somehow received a contact from 'Clay Aiken,' I think I'd be beyond skeptical...even if it were something like a contest and we knew he was going to contact someone. I think unless I saw him in the flesh, I'd really have a hard time believing it was him. Under stress, I go straight to paranoia. I suppose that opposite extreme isn't any healthier, though.
  8. I wanted Ricky to make it through.
  9. I saw it a while ago and agree - great movie!
  10. Iceland. There are other places I know I'll get to first, but that has been on my list for about 5 years. I want to see the flight of the puffins. And swim in the hotsprings.
  11. I saw flights from Philadelphia to Europe for under $300 - US Air. I can't go in early May, however, as I'll be in the Carribbean. On the beach. Under a thatched hut. In the lazy river. Anywhere that takes no effort. Have fun, though!
  12. I ain't takin' no test! I'm stubborn that way. And lazy, too. Can't we just submit our IQ scores with the proper documentation? All 3 digits? In the correct order? Anna, I left 2 apples on Couchie's desk. And they were Honey Crisps
  13. canuck at CV lightened it even more. Bye, Merle.....
  14. That made me laugh out loud, Jamar! As for those lyrics - lyrics out of context don't mean much to me. But, then, I don't enjoy reading poetry either. I'd need to listen to the song to have any sense of what the lyrics mean. What song is it? Pitchers and catchers -- Yay!!!
  15. Um...Warning: Vodka is flammable? Maybe? No, I've got it! Barry Manilow inflames her senses so much that she must get drunk to overcome her passion? Um...no? Hmm...Okay, okay...OLDIES make her dance like a man with his head on fire and remind her of those good old days when sparkly disco balls somehow made booze taste better? The fiery man is running to a 3/4 tempo...maybe she's suggesting Clay sing waltzes. Lots of waltzes. Booze optional. I dunno. heh She's crazed and therefore needs a drink?
  16. That's right! I forgot all about that one! So imagine that on a much larger scale... it was really cool. I mean we were 22 rows back - not bad seats at all but at various points, we felt like we were in the second/third row because the guys were so close! It was way cool and made the experience all that much more fun! that was fabulous!! I was in the first row behind that catwalk when he walked around it. Wooooooooo Hooooooooo!!! I was there, too, with good seats that became amazing seats for the period of time Clay was walking on that divider that wasn't meant to be a catwalk. What a treat that was! The whole concert was just great. After all, Clay became a man that night.
  17. They are one of my favorite bands of all time. I have never seen them live, but would love to. They're coming to my area in August.
  18. I might even wear one of those! The addition of chacha's fan of another type would provide an interesting twist. Love the thread title! We need to immortalize it somehow.
  19. I saw it, too, and second your recommendation. I've only seen 2 of the Best Picture nominees (Milk and Slumdog Millionaire), and Milk would get my vote. I'm enjoying the cheesy song discussion. I generally don't enjoy cheesy songs, and Clay has performed plenty, but you know, there's Velveeta and then there's a triple creme Boursault. Clay is primo cheese. Yay, Smitten! :04:
  20. You're not alone. I've never seen any of them, either. But then, I've never seen more than 2 minutes of an episode of Star Trek either. Were there Star Trek movies? Worst concert I ever saw: Rockstar Supernova. Why did I go to that anyway? I think I'll blame cagney.
