  1. Here is another article from the Just jared site: http://justjared.buzznet.com/2008/04/30/cl...iken-lion-king/ entitled: Clay Aiken loves the Lion King I think they were going for another meaning as the short article goes from talking about his "date" for the Lion King, (I am sure he and Hannah are chuckling over that one) to quickly talking about the song "The Real Me" from his album. Well good publicity for the album. And Clay looks yummy, very, very handsome.
  2. Ok, I just started to post and I am a post whore already! Just got out of the shower and I was singing "Everything I Don't Need" and I realized two things. Maybe I like that song better than I thought and secondly I wrote the wrong name of the song when I was posting my impressions. I did read that post on CV. It might have been the all caps but I found myself a tad uncomfortable (at least the way the poster described it) with her response to nephew's friend. First he seemed excited to post some of it on youtube and she threw a wet blanket on it. And who cares if the fans knew the answers to the questions a zillion years ago? You tube is not just about the current fans. Her reponse to him seemed dismissive. I did hear that some of the questions were beyond idiotic but still, i love to watch Clay talk. And cg said that his hair looked amazing. Did not have a chance to read the recap from cg's point of view as of yet. Toodles! ETA Edited for stupid typos. I do that alot.
  3. Good morning everyone, I have been a member since the summer but I haven't really posted. But I met Claygasm and talked her ear off on our train ride back to PA from Sunday's matinee and I thought I really should visit and say "hey" (not to be confused with "hay"). (waves to CG!) I taught last night and did not see much of QVC live but I did give my students a break and took a peek. It was hard to return to class. I watched it on my computer when I got home and really loved it. I was not a snippet virgin however and so the songs had just a bit of familiarity that helped them wash over me. Somehow I wonder if that helps the receptivity of new music. I rarely like or love a song the first time I listen to it. I might be intrigued by it but it takes a couple of listens. I absolutely loved what I heard. The Real Me and Something About Us were fighting each other for the top spot in my heart since I heard them on the Slovenian snippets and they did not disappoint last night. I am not in lust (yet) over Everything I Ever Knew, yet it is the type of song I absolutely love. I think the song is not a natural fit for Clay even though I think he can excel at green eyed soul. I really think the song has a Bonnie Rait vibe to it and I found myself fantasizing a duet between the two of them. Clay may have been tired and perhaps that is why he seemed dialed back to some. Actually I like his stage presence, it had a mature, sophisticated feel to me. I thought he looked incredibly hot and manly. Loved his hair, his clothing choices, really thought he looked wonderful. Oh forgot, where I draw the line. Very radio friendly, i think, and I really, really like the song. Love the bridge. Duckyvee and I will be seeing Spamalot this Sunday evening. Hope to meet some of you then! oops, forgot something else. For anyone who would like to hear OMWH on the radio, WROZ(they stream) will be playing it during their noon to one oclock hour (EST) this week. Not sure what day but I will try to alert you if I find out. I know the PD and emailed me that he will be playing it. He is a Clay fan. Edit to add: www.roseradio.com
  4. I thought Ryan started out weak tonight. His attempts at the monologue made me cringe a bit. i found myself feeling sorry for him. He seemed to do better as the show went on, probably, because his bits became briefer, one liners mostly. I thought the gowns were lovely, classy. But the show seemed to lack an energy for me. I only watched half way through, maybe it got better. Glad jamie pressley one for her comedy role in My Name Is Earl. She is terrific.
