  1. Muskifest :F_05BL17blowkiss: my feelings too!! I'm still on last night's concert's high ... killing time in my ex-hotel's lounge hoping to fly out at 9:00 p.m. tonight. Oh My when i see all those lovely pix and stuff ... i NEED my computer hooked up to the internet again (even if i can't burn a darn thing). I repeat ... i'm so glad i got to meet or remeet so many wonderful FCA people at dinner last night!! :F_05BL17blowkiss: :F_05BL17blowkiss: :F_05BL17blowkiss:
  2. Well ... tonight i wasn't hot flashing and sweating buckets ..... so maybe that's the reason .... but ... in any case Tonight's concert was MAGIC All the good stuff i said last night ... but tonight i'm remembering that I'm now in love with Clay's "Welcome to my world" That for the 2nd night in a row, Clay made "I'll be home for Christmas" a NEW song. For me it was like i hadn't heard that song a hundred times before. "My grown up Christmas List" was so moving, beautiful, and powerful. "Don't save it all for Christmas Day" was a crowd pleasing powerhouse. "All is Well" indeed!! WOW!! I took my friend Angela's words to heart and for this song i closed my eyes and listened, and let Clay's music fill my heart and soul ... my hands were clasped in prayer that he'd hit the last note ... and then i totally opened up my hands and heart and said "it's in God's hands" and let that thought go ......... and the last note was a wondrous thing of beauty!!! And of course i enjoyed it all thanks to my dear Thankful4Clay!! ... and boy am i thankful for Paulette AND Clay .... and all my Clay friends. Had dinner with a great group of them!!! Thank you for including me ... it was so wonderful to meet you all!! :F_05BL17blowkiss: :F_05BL17blowkiss: :F_05BL17blowkiss: My heart is still filled with the magic of tonight and yesterday ... the concerts, the friends ... all of it. I'm sad my Clay year is over .... until March and all the other magic nights and days that i hope and pray will happen for me ... and us all!! :hellosanta: This recap is brought to you by a not-too-sweaty and JOY-FULL Christel
  3. Thanks .... i don't know if i'll recognize you or anyone .... even if we've met before briefly ... so meeting in the lobby or looking for a table of FCA faces might not be that much good
  4. pre-party dinner at the Newsroom .... is there a table reserved? and do we just ask the desk to be seated with the Clay Aiken fans?? I will be there .... think Thankful4Clay may be able to make that too!! We had supper there before the Wed. concert ... and it was good ... we all ate up!!
  5. Can i echo the sentiments of some of the posts above too. I think a fan board should be a fan board. I don't post at OFC because i get viewed as a Kool-aider just because i want to enjoy fandom and praise Clay. I WISH i could wholeheartedly recommend just one board to new Clay fans ... and i wish it could be the official fan club. I WISH freedom of speech didn't sometimes mean speaking with a lack of respect for the feelings of others. I always hear "with freedom comes responsibility" ... and i think that's true. I WISH that after a Clay appearance i would just revel in joyful posts and pictures ....... for at least an hour before someone jumps in with a big ole thunder cloud. Hey sometimes i don't like Clay's clothes, hair, something he said either ... but he's not perfect and i don't have to say it out loud and in print when i don't ... and let others have their "hour of joy".
  6. Hello from Minneapolis!!! Playbiller :F_05BL17blowkiss: right on. .... i feel more sorry for people involved in the Fake stuff than angry. And, in retrospect, i feel i didn't always apply rationality, or, wonder where some of the "supposed" info. around came from (or at least wondering if people had agendas). Lovely pix Musikfest :F_05BL17blowkiss: Alas ... must to a quick trek to Walgreen's for some Aveeno which i forgot to bring!! Later!!
  7. Hi from Minneapolis. :F_05BL17blowkiss: Sitting at the Holiday Inn's hot lobby ... was hoping to run into Couch Tomato (wearing my CV lanyard right now ... will hang around the breakfast area in a Clay T-shirt tomorrow a.m. really knackered right now ... even a bit of walking was hard on my back/legs and will make an early night of it. p.s. you may also see me outside smoking !
  8. Been a fan for 4 years now ... and sure i don't "know" Clay ... but at the same time i do "know" a great deal and think i have a good general impression of the man, the person, the performer. I know he's not perfect, he can choose a bad direction, or make a mistake, or have a 'bad' day the same as anyone. I will forgive and forget his boo-boos, as i hope to be forgiven mine. The rare "stories" that don't kind of "fit" in my picture are going to be attached to a huge salt lick cement block and dumped in the ocean (sealed against water pollution). I wrote the above at CV .... but really ... this stuff is so unbelievable.
  9. I will be there both nights. My real name is Christel Klein and i will be staying at the Holiday Inn near the venue!! Hotel: MINNEAPOLIS-DWTN (CONV CTR) Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites 225 SOUTH 11TH STREET MINNEAPOLIS, MN 55403 UNITED STATES I do not have a cell phone ... but i'm posting my pix and location .... so if you see me you can say Hi .... or phone me at the Hotel ... I'm not booked into any parties but i will be "around". Love to meet one and all!!!
  10. christel, since this is duplication of what you've posted in the Minneapolis concert thread, I'm just going to post a link to that post...LadyJ christelklein wants to meet up with Minneapolis concert peeps!
  11. Yes indeed. I'm staying at the Holiday Inn (near the venue i think) ... and i'll be there from Tues til Fri. I'd love to meet people for breakfast, lunch dinner .... etc.
  12. p.s. .... i'm glad he's singing Emmanuel ... THAT was on my personal wish list!! :04: I think i need more COFFEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!! I'm feeling dozzy ... but i had plenty of sleep!!
  13. I kinda think there's a difference between going to the show and expecting not to like it ... and expecting to like it. Self-fulfilling prophesies on either side on that one. I also think it's fairly likely that not everyone is going to like 100% of everything Clay et al. did ... or wish for something else to have been done. BUT .... since we are sort of a fan club .... i do think it's an appropriate wish for fans to want a few minutes of un-rained on parade. And being the "Pollyanna" that i am -- i frankly don't need the rain unless my flowers are wilting in the sun. Just my opinion.
  14. well .... woke up to tons of snow!!! Got lotsa sleep last night so i should be very copasetic today!! Love the pix ... just checked out a few pages from last night (no computering at home for me) ... read the blog!!! LOVED the blog!!! Can't wait for my turn ... which will be Minneapolis!!! Have to run ... work starts in 5 minutes!! :F_05BL17blowkiss: :F_05BL17blowkiss: :F_05BL17blowkiss:
  15. Have a great weekend everyone :F_05BL17blowkiss: :F_05BL17blowkiss: :F_05BL17blowkiss: See you all on Monday ... when i'm back at work with a computer to use!!
  16. Good morning all!!! Just an ordinary working day in Canada!!! Just freezing here!!! I woke up at 5:00 a.m. too ... but this time i just went back to bed and slept for a couple more hours!! Not all that awake yet ... but happy that it's FRIDAY!! :04: :nana:
  17. Another sucker person for the diet thread. Eat away christelklein and come join us on Monday because we will need a lot of commiseration. Oh, and bring a piece of two for the rest of us I like any diet club where i can bring pie!! :F_05BL17blowkiss: I am very very very pleasingly plump!!!
  18. I think i should have a slice or two of chocolate pecan pie in honour of the American Thanksgiving also!!
  19. :F_05BL17blowkiss: I had been following a bit of the Celine Dion Halifax "thing" also .... i just think it's so rude that media people especially feel called upon to 'dis artists that aren't their cuppa tea -- esp. when they have likely made no effort to "appreciate" the fact that to other people they may just be "the cat's meouw!" :F_05BL17blowkiss: My view usually run along the lines of "It's Clay's life and career ... i'm just along for the ride". :F_05BL17blowkiss:
  20. Great schmoopie post Aikim!! :F_05BL17blowkiss: It's winter here ... snowed last night and was snowing when i left for work. My cats woke me up at 5:00 a.m. when i could have slept to 7:00. But at least i know that they're smart ... Princess or Yodabear knocked the big bag of dried food onto the floor -- i was wondering if they knew to do that if i left on a Clay trip and didn't come back before the food i'd left for them had run out!! Good morning. Love to all :F_05BL17blowkiss: Happy Birthday Cotton!! :fest30:
  21. I must admit to resenting it a little ... i usually try to ignore it. But on the very few occasions when i DO listen to the radio ... i usually think the songs i hear are pretty mundane/boring/tedious .... except for some famous classic rock standards. I find most "modern' stuff on radio pretty forgettable ... and even if i like the beat i don't crave hearing it again.
