You beat me to it--I was thinking, "That's the job I want!" Second place would be Angela's job during WDC! Don't know if this has been mentioned, but there's a thread at the CB regarding Broken Wings moving up the 'top-rated' chart at Youtube. Wouldn't it be great if it would move up significantly enough for others to discover Clay? Here it is:

My thoughts as well. I kind of cringed when he did the church preaching/screaming bit in Asheville (although it was hysterically funny). It just seemed like an unnecessary strain on his voice. Since 2003, I've been clayrevolution on the CB. When I started getting PMs asking about 'my' candles on Ebay (I don't sell candles or anything on Ebay), I realized there was another clayrevolution out there who sells candles. I checked out Ebay and sure enough there she was. So the next board I joined, I became clayrevolution1956. Then someone quoted me and said my name is incredibly long to type. So when I joined here, I became clayrev1956. --but you can call me clayrev.

I don't see radio embracing Clay anytime soon (I hope I'm wrong), so I think he'll make his mark in TV. He is an all-around entertainer and belongs on TV, IMO, in a format that can show off both his beautiful voice and comedic skills.

But unfortunately, all the idiot DJs usually do a morning gossip report including tabloid stories. The good thing is that I think most people can't remember most gossip tidbits they heard a year ago. I certainly can't remember anything I heard regarding celebrities I'm not interested in.

Yes, I once saw CNN use the Star as a source (I think is was regarding what Anna-Nicole had in her refrigerator). I thought 'WTF?'

Ignoring is the only thing to do. It's interesting that American celebrities often file suit against British tabloids (presumably because British laws favor the plaintiff in these cases). I've often wondered if/when Clay is marketed in England, will the British press have a field day with the rumors about his private life? And if so, will he be more likely to file suit there?

I can definitely see Clay hosting the Emmys one day. He'd bring back the Johnny Carson vibe--quick with the off-the-cuff remarks.
-
No, I didn't--how interesting! I only saw a couple of early seasons of The Sopranos before I got rid of my HBO. Sally Field looks nice.
-
Oh, I missed that--I walked into the room while it was going on--just thought it was a mention. Love the Jersey Boys--you could swear it's FV singing.
-
Big mention of Idol Gives Back--wow, what a coincidence--the Emmys are on Fox and RS is hosting. Who would have thought?
-
Yay for John S. winning and Conan losing!
-
I find it's boring and poorly-paced. Probably won't garner stellar ratings. And I think RS will go down in Emmy history as the worst host ever.

I don't like Paula, but I thought it was pretty low of Ryan to embarrass her like that on a live national broadcast.

Another dark chocolate lover here. Speaking of Blue Bell---Blue Bell vanilla ice cream thoroughly mixed with peanut butter--there's nothing better. Re the Jeopardy girl, Cle: I've been trying to think of a Clay-centric female name for the next dog I get (Raleigh? Claytina?, etc.), and I think I'll go with Cle with the little accent over the e. Perfect.
