  1. I hate ticket stress. Was buying for me and my friend and decided to go to best available instead of picking seats. Did ok. I have Row S, Center Orchestra, seats 102 and 103. I am just glad I am going this year so the seats will have to be fine. As long as I can see over the person in front of me!
  2. Still here reading everyday, just not much to say. Went on a 5 day bike tour a week ago, and have another one in two weeks Going to the Gala, having my airfare and hotel but have to buy the cheaper ticket yet. Hope for descent seat but if not at least I will be in the house. After reading some of the comments from others who have bought tickets and the problems they had when picking seats, I may just go for best available and hope for the best. Glad Clay is having fun but hope for some career news.
  3. Thanks everyone for your thoughts and prayers, Today and tomorrow are going to be rough. I did listen to interview, very short, he mentioned having to learn all the words, equel to about 12 pages to learn. The most he has had to learn in that short period of time. Said he was one of the only people who has not done this show before so had to learn alot while others knew their parts.
  4. Got home from Washington DC after being gone for 7 days. Had a great time and saw alot. We were camping so I had wifi for the first three days then we lost it and could not get on the rest of the week. My mother was put in Hospice while I was gone and then yesterday passed away. She so loved Clay and infact because of her I became more involved. Everytime I would go to her house she had taped something and I would watch. I blame her for my addiction. But it made us so close. I took her to concerts until she was not able to go anymore. She would always be so thrilled when I came back and gave her a recap. When I went to the Gala in 2011 and she said she wished she was well enough to go. I think she would of loved it.
  5. I was so nervous during the broadcast that I went and rewatched it. I loved it. He sounded great and looked wonderful. He is so thin again.
  6. I am do nervous(I do not know why, he will be great) that I have resorted to my favorite comfort food(chocolate). After tonight I am not getting on the scale for a couple of days.
  7. I hope this means something but probably not. I miss him. Wish I could go to DC but could not pull both the Gala and that. Wish I had unlimited funds or did not live so far away. I am here reading everyday, just not much to say. Just got home this am from a week of skiing in Colorado. Had a great time and was able to see my middle son who lives in Denver.
  8. I do not have the streak that you have. I am going to the Gala this year but I did not go last year. I can not afford every year so I have to pick and choose. This year it was easier for me because it falls the week before my ski patrol recert and that does not happen often. I also have missed some tours. I missed 2003(A1) and missed some other tours but have saw him every year just not every tour. Missed IT, NAT, and JNT 2005. I have a little excuse because I did not realize you travel to concert back then so I did not do the IT and JNT for that reason. I have no excuse for the NAT. He was in Clio which is 20 miles away but did not know a soul and had no idea that I could go to a concert by myself(foolish but I have learned and would of gone now). My husband even asked me if I was going and I said not by myself and by the time I even changed my mind the tickets were sold out and then I had no idea how to get one.(Things we have learned how to do through time).
  9. I actually sat and listened to the whole show last night. I really thought I would not be able to sit that long but I found it entertaining. I was laughing at some of their comments. I think they did really well. Hope that it gets picked up. Who knows what this kind of show can lead to. Plan on going to the Gala. Made my hotel reservations for Thurs-Sunday, and got the AAA disconunt. Waiting to see what air fares do. We may drive down if they do not drop. I will not pay the $450 that is out there now. Even with taken a exra day there and back to drive(I could do it all in one sitting, I do always to go skiing, but my concert buddy can not) and hotels along the way, it would not cost us that much. We will wait until mid summer and see how things go and make a decision. I was really prepared for this to be on the next weekend and I was making arrangements to cover me for ski patrol recertification and to take my recert at another hill. I am so happy I do not have to do that. I can not go every year but wanted to go on the 10th Anniversary. Just wanted to change my AVI: I love his hands, taken at St. Charles
  10. Was in Vermont skiing when the storm hit. We drove home yesterday and went a different route. Instead of more of a southern route we hated north hoping the snow was less. That way we hit upper Vermont into upper NY onto Canada. We drove in Canada for 8 hours before hitting Michigan. We did have less snow after leaving Vermont. At the condo we had about 15 inches. At least when I drove in Canada most of the roads were just wet with scattered slippery spots. Missing Clay where is he hiding!!
  11. Here goes, it may not be perfect but I will try my best. Not in any particle order but will try my best from early to nearer to the present: 1. Go the Distance - Off one of his demo cd's. When I really started to get more into Clay I had never downloaded anything from a site. I had dial up and it was very slow. I had found a site that had some of the songs on and my hubby went out of his way to go on it at work and download the songs for me. I fell in love with many but I love this song and his voice on it. 2. I Survive You - I did not purchase MOAM till April 2004 but when it put it into the player I immediately loved this song. When he was on GMA in July I was so excited when he sang it. I so wish I had seen that tour or the IT tour for this song. 3. Measure of a Man- Everytime he sings this song it gives me chills. Many great performances of this song but love the Capitol 4th version and also the version he sang at the summer tour in 2007(Can't remember the name). 4. Solitaire - I went out and bought the single and played it over and over. Love his voice on it and when he sang it on AI the big note just was so great. 5. Mary Did You Know - Bought the NBC cd version first and fell in love with this song. It made me cry it was done so well. My hubby listened to it and to this day it is one of his favorite Christmas songs. He does it so well, and spoils it for anybody else who tries to cover. 6. Good News - I know this is not on a cd but I love all the live performances of this song. His voice is unreal in it and really looked forward to hearing it live. He did not disappoint me, it was gorgeous. 7. Without You - I do not care how many other artist have done this song I just love his version. Watching that night on Leno when he sang it for us for the first time was wonderful. Then during the summer tour he showed how great he can sing it live. 8. Broken Wings - There is just something about this song that does things to me. I love the singing and the poem mixed. I always wished that this would of been released as a single. Soooooo good. 9. All is Well - I think I have dowloaded more versions of this song live then anything. I love it and he sings it so well. My favorite was the night he was sick and it seemed it went the extras mile to pull those big notes out. Opening this year tour with it really made me happy. 10. Sacrifial Love - One of my favorites off of OMWH. His voice is so good and passionate as he is singing it. I even loved the version he sang at Golfing for Inclusion. 11. Forget I Ever Knew You - I bought the deluxe version so I could have the extra song and immediately feel in love with this song. That big long note toward the end just goes to the pit of my stomach.. Love it 12. Lover All Alone - I had a slow computer when this extra song came on I-tunes for ATDW so I could not dowload it. I am not sure when I actually heard it the first time but on the summer tour in 2007 it was just beautifull. You could not hear any other noise in the place just that beautifull voice with the cello. It was amazing and I then knew why everyone was so excited about it. I wish he would write more he has a way with words. 13. Bring Back My Love - Was at the Gala when I heard it in its entirely. The night before someone played me a few bars that hey had placed on their phone but it did not do the song justice. It was just gorgeous and one of my favorites. He has such a way with his voice and the notes. I want to hear this song live again. Hope he tours again.
  12. I can say that I have saved more pictures from this tour then I ever did before. He is one sexy, gorgeous, handsome man. Age has treated him very well. I just hope it is not months before we hear about something for him.. I want to see him on my TV or announce he will do some type of tour this summer(I would love this!) Reading here everday, just not alot of time to post. Ski season is going so ski patrolling alot. Skied really hard today so my legs tomorrow should be really sore when I go and patrol.
  13. That story was hilarious. I do not have that tour book because JNT did not come to Mi. that year(what was I thinking not traveling, I have learned). But I can just invision him trying to walk in the snow, and not in a straight line.
  14. Sorry I did not recognize anyone but I loved the show and Clay's voice. He made the sound mishaps into comedy gold. We were in row C so he was front and center all night. He looked marvelous and his voice I agree has gotten so much better. Went he asked for the moment of silence I wish the sound from the bar next door could not have been heard. I can not believe that they have no sound dampening from there. I also could hear them somewhat during the last couple of songs. This was my only concert and I am so glad that on Friday morning we made the decision to go. Had balcony seats but was able to buy row C from someone and it was great being so close. That placement of the organ reminds me where I use to live they had a theatre that before the show started it was played the same way and then lowered into the floor. They also have turned the place into a area for shows and the organ is stilled played. I think though it is been updated and a far better venue. Because of the sound problems I do not see Clay ever going back to St. Charles.
  15. Well I woke up this am feeling sorry for myself for my concert that was to be tonight and called my concert buddy. When all was said and done we are in the balcony at St.Charles tomorrow. Got our hotel and we will be leaving in the morning. I keep telling myself that I am not crazy but I just had to see him. It has been since last year Gala and I do not know when it will be again so I just did it. Not the greastest seat but in the house!!!
  16. I wish I had your positive attitude. I am really upset. My only concert this tour. I just picked up my tickets this afternoon. I have not watched much video this year, I wanted to be surprised. If it is for sure cancelled I am going to have to go back and watch alot. I hope someone can make a dvd of one of the shows, so I can see it as it happened.
  17. Love all the video and pictures. Here reading everyday but just have not had a lot to say. Was concerned because my tickets were not arriving. They came on Thurs to the fan who bought them for me. Hoping to meet her on Monday and have them in my hands. Getting really excited for Friday. Have not watched much except for banter and one song. I usually watch alot but wanted to me more surprised this time.
  18. Thank you so much for the recaps. I was feeling sorry for myself on Saturday but I stayed up as long as possible to read some of the recaps as they came in. It did take some of the sting out for not being there. I can hope for a miracle next year that my ski patrol will not conflict. Have the money saved so if I can I will go. Just wish that the Gala and my ski patrol would somehow get off the same weekend. I look at it this way I never thought that I would be able to attend and yet last year my dream did come true, so it may again!!
  19. Combining them sounds good. I like them both. Wish I could afford to bid on the VIP packages. They sound great. Glad to see that Debbie tweeted about the Gala. Love to hear the duet they are doing. Someone give a great recap.
  20. I have to tell you about my find today. My concert buddy and I were shopping today. We had discussed earlier the Anniv. of MOAM. She wanted to stop at Goodwill(she collects sterling silver pieces). She also knows it is not my favorite place. We were looking around when I looked up and saw pictures. I called her over and said look up. There he was in all his glory. A pencil drawing of MOAM cover. He was done so well. Yes! I bought it. It is about 12 x 16 in size. They charged me $2 for it. This so made my day since I can not go to the Gala this week. I guess I better never complained about going there again. I do not have a camera otherwise I would post a picture. My friend good cannon just bit the dust also. If I figure how to get a picture I will post it. It is not signed(at first it reminded me of Linda Huber pictures, it is that good).
  21. I agree looking really good. Another one here who will not be at the Gala. Hoping for great reports. I had so much fun last year and really wanted to go. Ski Patrol recert always is the same weekend. I guess I was lucky last year when it was moved. All I can do is pray that next year the two dates are different.
  22. Two of my boys graduated from Northwood University in Midland, thus I have been there many times. I work in Saginaw which you pass on I-75 before you get onto 10. The town is really nice and Dow Gardens is beautiful in the summer. Last time I was there was about 5 weeks ago. I was marking the roads for our bike tour and one of the routes goes into Midland and stays at the Middle School. Hope you had fun.
  23. Back from camping and was checking in when I saw a message from the friend who had got my tickets on Wed. She had gotten me F3 row M. Since I new I was not going to be around I was happy with those tickets. She sent me a message that she went on the OFC sale and got me F2 row B(I may have turned the F3 and 2 around, whichever is more center). I am happy. I told her if she does not sell them I will buy them because she was my only hope and I will feel guilty if they do not sell. I just know I am closer to the stage and more centered, and that is good.
  24. I also am in the house at Detroit. I am row M in section F2. A friend bought my ticket for me today because I was at a meeting. I also will not be around tomorrow because I am heading up North for 4 days of camping. Will take my computer but may not have great access. I am just glad to be there, with not going to the Gala I just want to hear him sing.
