i certainly hope those arent in the possibilities lol that would make me very very sad... but I dont see why Clay wont continue in music..he has talked about missing singing, he has referred to a new cd (no specifics, but he did say the next one will probably be covers) and he came out publically which to me doesnt show a guy who is going to leave his record label because he wants to go home and be a full time dad.... also, I dont believe for a minute that fans are the reason he doesnt get played on radio, I think the radio played games with us because they werent going to play him..encouraged requests when they had no intention to play them...and I dont think clay's OTT hurt him that much..bottem line, I cant worry about what clays "ott fans" may have done, I can only control myself, and since I dont do any of that stuff then Im not going to dwell on those who may...every artist has OTT fans...

hi guys, havent been around much, Ive been on cv from my phone, but didnt have computer access for a few days so didnt check in to many places...I wanted to tell you that i decided that I miss my family, and Im going to go home..my paychecks should be coming this week, 4 of them I think lol and Im gonna get on the train and go back to OR where I belong why would clay go back to being a teacher? no way..he's a singer...he wont go back now. where is it being reported as a mutual decision? I thought that Cindi was saying Clay decided to move on? that means it was his choice..he wouldnt walk away without a plan, no worries here..ever lol while im on a roll, I dont think we will be waiting a long time for the next thing, Clay mentioned in his blog telling us plans for 2009, I think he has something up his sleeve and is ready to move on and start working again..

I love Big Bang Theory, its the first great sitcom Ive seen since Friends went off the air....I dont know what theyre saying half the time, but I crack up anyways lol

I actually still..believe it or not, like the OFC lol the messageboard I mean..it helps that I go to the chatroom which is a completely different environment than the messageboard...but Ive made friends there and I enjoy a lot of the discussions that go on over there...but then the same group of people go from discussion to discussion spreading their vile hatred and thats when it gets to be to much..I realize I should probably ignore, its a character flaw lol so it becomes a gerbil wheel..I have successfully bowed out of discussions before..but I hate to see the people, who arent even fans anymore..taking over...and if I shut up thats what Im afraid is going to happen, the discussions wont end, it will be just the same hateful people saying whatever they want..its a sad sad situation.

oh my goodness yes! to me some people are making it into a bigger deal then it should be, and that isnt good either...Im completely ok with him being gay, but it's like TR Knight said when he came out "I hope that people find out that this isnt the most interesting thing about me" just like being straight isnt the most interesting or important thing about me (especially dateless HAHA) for me it isnt a big deal, because it shouldnt be a big deal, Ive never been interested in that part of his life so it was easy for me to adjust..I dont give it a second thought normally..he's just clay. If Clay ever did anything that I couldnt support, then I would walk away quietly..I would not sit back and become the complete opposite of the person that I was..because thats what a lot of people have done..theyve turned from completely supportive, to haters...and its sad..that would never happen to me...he has given me joy, and music and friends for 6 years and I would walk away without a word..he deserves that much more than my ridicule. I dont see anything that should make people afraid of posting an opinion...Ive been on the minority end of the spectrum...try not minding the jenna bush photo's....or loving the green sweater..yes its painful, but i post anyways and while im on a roll, I see they started yet another thread on how the OFC can be better..another place to say clay doesnt care lol

because Im human and things bug me..I dont let it ruin my fandom, I dont let it affect my RL, but its nice to be able to vent and talk about it with people who agree and understand.

The problem is they have their own wallow in hate board.. "support board" they just don't stay there

I said to them that is ridiculous..I would hope you would feel a heck of a lot worse if someone died..call me a bad person..tell me I don't appreciate other opinions..I don't care anymore, my patience has dried up..they have their own board and I wish they would stay there

yup (at least for some.probably most of them), and a clue about that would be its the same people complaining that had a problem then...they want to blame him for something, and thats as good a reason as any..and its the same people who complain after every appearence since...and the people who were complaining about him not doing anything, didnt even go in the golfing gala thread that was set up at the OFC..it would appear that if they cared so much, they would be interested when he actually does do something...its gone way beyond them caring if he blogs, especially since they werent going to be "won over" when he did.

and people are still complaining about the blog...bet you didnt see that coming lol

yeah there were a couple of people who wanted to get their words in there...but I love seeing so many comments! there are over 100 now, and most of them very supportive someone posted they joined in september to let him know what they think...what a waste of time and money I say. I love him!

I started at FORT, did you have the same name..it got to be so awful over there, you could say anything you wanted in the clay thread, awful stuff about him if you wanted, but you couldnt say anything in negative in the Ruben thread because there were "less ruben fans and it wasnt fair" finally they ran most of the Clay fans off, but I still post news over there because there are a few clay fans there that arent on clay boards...I was clayalltheway1982 at FORT

After idol I googled Clay Aiken and found "thatstheclay" and was there a bit, and a few smaller boards...then I found CV and that was the first big board I really really called home..I have never experienced the joy that I experience when I am around clay fans, the chatter and EEEhing, they get me..traveling from concert to concert with them, meeting up and sharing hugs, waving at friendly faces across a concert (during intermission and before of course) these are things that make us special I think...I mean, of course we have a guy to support who sings like no other...but the comadrie, the friendships, the actual love between a bunch of people who most of them I havent met..is what makes it special:) the organization among the fandom is phenomonal to, its like a different world lol and I cant wait for the next one!

If you're interested, they did mention at the concert that their new album comes out April 7. And sorry Mr/Ms Critics, but all those people at the concerts and buying CDs can't be wrong! I can take em or leave em...I like some of their songs, and dont like some of their songs..I love country music, but I dont like the most popular country artists.. I dont like kenny chesney, keith urban etc, toby keith etc, the people that most everyone loves...but I like Chuck Wicks a lot who isnt a huge seller, but I think he has good music...and other lesser sellers... but I like some rascal flatts songs..

yup! and they sell like hotcakes! and sell out arenas...EW put them on the worst cd of the year list when they put ATDW on it, and Rascal Flatts laughs all the way to the bank.. crazy critics..

I actually like Jessica's country cd much more then her pop stuff, but she has always looked in pain to me when she is singing, is she still doing the wierd face stuff?

I agree, I have to much drama in my real life to find drama in my fun fandom. I know people say they are just discussing, but it comes across as angry and angsty and I love Clay, but I dont understand that kind of intensity for him..where stuff can make you so upset..I know that if this stopped being fun for me I would walk away, I dont have time for anything that doesnt bring me joy..who knows, maybe when people get so upset they somehow are having fun..I dunno, but it sure seems like a waste of time to be so upset. I tend to just go with the flow, always hopeful for the future..when he isnt doing something I dont think, wonder, angst to where he is, I just go on with my life...and chat about mundane stuff with my clay friends, and then when he reappears Im happy and thrilled and excited..I dont spend my time wondering where he is, or what this means for his career etc..when he blogs I love it,but I dont think about it, wonder about it, speculate about it, worry about it when he doesnt. of course everyone is different and perceptions are different..when I see angst I know others can see discussion etc etc etc..but people do seem to get rather stressed.

Can they even sing... you know, not live? ETA: Y'all aren't old. Well, I don't know, but I don't think so. I can't stand contemporary music myself... Maybe I'm old at heart? Mature. Im the same way..I can see 30 not far in the distance, but I dont like any current music..I cant think of any current music I like anyways..occasionally Ill hear a song here and there I like but its not much... I dont think the grammies have anything to do with commercial success or radio play, plenty of people win who dont sell and arent on the radio..and I also think that many songs on OMWH could fit in with some of the stuff sung on the grammies..they are bought and paid for by the label anyways, and we know how that goes... maybe someday..I never give up hope.

Its so funny, I am one that doesnt care if, when, how, why clay blogs, but ironically I had a dream that I woke up and read that he blogged and I went over there and it said "There, I blogged" hahahahaha I think thats something I would do, but Clay isnt that mean..he's a much better person than I am lol
