Goldarngirl and FromClaygary- have a fabulous time in NYC!!

aikim- I just had my outdoor cat (I'm severely allergic) spayed on Tuesday and I was sent home with 4 syringes of pain meds and was told to make sure I gave it to her with a meal with the suggestion of squirting the liquid into her mouth. That didn't work well at all, so I got a small amount of soft food that I know she loves, put the medicine in there, watched her eat it up, then gave her more of her regular food. That did the trick just fine. She stayed overnight at the vet Tues night and came home on Wed afternoon. I played it safe and kept her in large dog crate I have, in the garage, just to make sure she wasn't groggy from the anesthetic. I just her outside now and she's one happy kitty. gbmifan- so sorry for you loss

Hey Luckiest! I'm sorry to hear about your daughter's diagnosis. I really like the Looneyspoons/crazyplates books for low fat recipes. The books are hilarious with lots of tips and fun reading inside. They also sell mealkits at grocery stores and luckiest daughter will be happy to hear they sell pizza's too! Here is their website: http://www.crazyplates.com/index.html Any local bookstore has the books. I'd lend you mine, but my neighbour currently has them. The authors were born in St. THomas and now live near Ottawa I think. I try my best to eat well (though pizza is my downfall), and exercise regularly as I'm at high risk for heart disease due to my family history.

We've used Freecycle a few times and it's gone really well. We had a 5 yr old queen size bed that was in great shape, but just too hard for hubby and I and none of our family wanted it. We advertised on freecycle and got a response within hours and the bed was picked up the following weekend by a very happy couple who had been sleeping on a very old double bed for years. They were thrilled.

The day of the release of ATDW, alspazz and I met up in the large city near both of us, bought ATDW at HMV, listened to it and eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee'ed in the car on the way to Goldarngirl's office where we met up with other local fans (Luckiest and others), had lunch and listened to ATDW. For me it was a perfect way to hear the new cd the first time.

Cindilu - I'd love to hear the fangirly details!! Did you notice much difference between the shows you saw on the weekend vs opening weekend? I think it's great you chatted with Chris and Hannah after the show....I'd love to see the pictures too! eta: thanks for the pics!!

I'm way behind here due to a new part-time job kicking my butt (after being a SAHM for almost 7yrs), but I wanted to wish my buddy Luckiest1 a happy birthday!!

Thanks so much for the warm welcome a few days ago....what a friendly bunch here!! I thoroughly enjoyed our Ontario Clay group get together yesterday at the home of Goldarngirl. It was wonderful to hear the opening Spamalot weekend stories from Cindilu2. Luckiest - so glad to hear your mom maybe helping you out with flights!! That's awesome news. We're watching the Superbowl here, but in Canada, even when we watch on American channels we seem to miss the fun commercials. We get a few new 'Canadian' commercials but not nearly entertaining as the American ones.

Hey people, come on out and play! I've been a 'guest' since well before Christmas and I've been meaning to post, but the above quote from Luckiest helped me get my butt in gear and post!! I've enjoyed reading here for several months and I'm happy to have finally officially joined FCA!!
