  1. I am working again tonight. Sure hope neither of the ladies decide to share any more of their germs with me this weekend. Last week got the stomach bug from the one who got sick on Christmas and two weeks before that I got congestion from the other one. I need a fresh start to the new year so no more sickness. I stole those pics from claysbuttercup. Aren't they pretty?
  2. I read about that radio station over at CV and checked it out last night. It's a small online radio station, which will probably get double the amount of listeners with all the Clay fans checking it out. I've got it bookmarked and was listening to it last night and some today. I'd still rather listen to my own music but it's nice to be able to hear so much of Clay on any radio station. And I love that they play people's requests (interesting concept huh) instead of what some PD out in Coolville decides is worthy of radio play. When I have some extra money, I'll probably try to donate some money to them. So sorry I missed your birthday treenuts. Does this help?
  3. All we got was a dusting of snow on Christmas. I'd actually like to get some snow, but only this week when the kids are off. I want to be able to start getting some sub jobs again next week so I can save up for the tour. I spent most of my money on Christmas but it was nice to be able to buy stuff for my kids again. I had to spend my Christmas working, which wouldn't have been so bad since my full-time job involves working with developmentally disabled adults in their homes so there is still lots of free time. However, during their Christmas meal, the one client got sick all over her mashed potatoes, and then got sick 4 more times throughout the day. Can't tell you how disgusting that was. And we'd had peas for lunch so had to go chasing undigested peas that wound up everywhere. Yuck. Sure hope I get a regular teaching job next year. Besides getting paid more and having summers and holidays off, I wouldn't have to clean up puke. Just call in the custodians. We had our gift exchange Thursday night since I had to work, and then Christmas dinner tonight because that's when we were all home. I got lots of stuff that I wanted, mainly because I directed them to it. My favorites were my Clay stuff. My daughter got me some charms for my Italian bracelet and she got me a coffee mug with a bunch of pretty Clay pics on it. She surprised me with that one. My son got me some charms too. Bigger ones that will combine my two bracelets. I had to do all the work with his gifts though. His idea was to get me a Wii that would stay in his rooms. I told him if it was my gift, then it better be hooked up to my tv and he'd have to ask to play it, so that's when he decided to have me get what I wanted and he'd pay for it. So I got the charms and a spot cleaner since my dogs pee in the house all the time.
  4. Ooh couchie, I'm with you on the Tears Run Dry. I loved how he sang that song, especially the one he did in Toronto. That was always my favorite of the 4 they previewed, then Just You. I can't remember if I voted or Always and Forever or SOT. I'd love to hear him sing either but my favorite from AI was that little bit of Superstar we heard him sing. I'd kill (probably that girl from facebook) to hear him sing that. Ruben's version always bores me after about the first couple of lines, but I know Clay would have me panting on the floor. And I loved that blog. That was better than the card for me. I just adore that man and love some of the lines he comes up with. This time it was the one about taking 6 words and turning it into a 10 page term paper. He just cracks me up. And now that I know the song choices came from him, I am excited about what he is planning on doing. Never cared that much about Touch either way, but I'd love to know what Clay has planned for that if it gets chosen.
  5. He's so adorable. Hopefully, he's taken the hints about blogging and will be doing more of it. I don't need it so much myself, although I enjoy every one of them, but reading the bitching about the lack of blogs does get old. I sympathize with him about The Closer. Love that show and I'm still hoping he'll be on before it ends. As far as snow, once I get a full-time teaching job, I'm all for it. But working as a sub, I hate it because it would mean one less day to get a job. Good news is that I've been getting at least a couple of jobs every week in the schools since October. I could work more, but I've turned some down. Mainly because I hate those 6:30am calls. I am not a morning person, so at that time of the morning, I'm not in the mood to do anything. Plus, I still have my weekend job so I can be a little pickier.
  6. I'm planning on voting and so is my daughter. I think this may be the first election that I've voted in when it wasn't also a Presidential election. Shouldn't matter too much in my state since we are already democratic but I'll do my part. I read that the gala didn't do as well this year as the past two years, but considering the economy, the Chicago concert, and many of us still paying off bills from the summer tour, it was pretty damned good.
  7. How is it that he can look so damn sexy just leaning over someone or doing everyday things? Loved all of those pics. Oh, and by the way, at the moment, I hate all of you who were lucky enough to be there. I am so jealous.
  8. Well, I'm game, but there is no way that I could pick a favorite picture. As for how my life has changed, that is a long list. Because of Clay, I learned about the internet and message boards and downloading (right click and save), how to do photobucket, etc. I've also traveled to places that I never would have if he hadn't come into my life. And what's more, I've learned that I can do some of this stuff on my own without needing someone to hold my hand. Before Clay, I think the farthest I'd traveled on my own was about 1/2 hour from my house. However the biggest and best changes are more personal. I love the friends that I have made and hope to make in the future. Because of Clay, I realized that I didn't have to settle for Mr. Wrong so got rid of the loser husband, which has considerably brightened my life. I went back to school and got my BA in Elementary Ed. And I've found joy again. Prior to him entering my life, the only time that I can say I truly felt joy was when my kids were younger. Now, I am so much happier and more open with people, and I'm slowly starting to learn to trust, which is a big thing for me. All I gotta say is, thank god for Clay Aiken.
  9. Yes ldyj, I needed Pastor Ruben but didn't have the cash to be healed so I'm forever cursed with my lackofrythmitis. And what's worse is that I passed it onto my daughter who has it even worse. It's a sad, sad situation. I was just getting ready to bring that over treenuts. He cracks me up. Thanks for explaining that liney, I'd never heard of them.
  10. for Couchie. What is Nomads for Inclusion? KAndre, that b&w pic of Clay is like a work of art. He is so beautiful. Don't care about his hair because most of the time I'm too busy looking at that gorgeous face. The lips, eyes, perfect nose. I'm with ldyj, I'm just happy that he has a nice head of hair on him. And I sure can't complain about bad hair days because I rarely do more than wash mine, towel it down, and hope for the best. I enjoy the concerts where people get up and dance, although if they sing when Clay is singing, I want to smack them. Unfortunately, I'm more like his mom and friends. I will stand up but I don't dance. Well at least my whole body isn't usually moving. It's either the feet or the body, but they never work in tandem. I was definitely born without the rhythm gene.
  11. I think the '60's was just Clay's shtick because he's sung some of those songs Ruben sang before. I did like the songs Ruben sang better during that part though and he did do a good job on those. But when it comes to listening to an entire song by Ruben, for some reason, I always get bored before he's done and want him to hurry up and finish. And I was really hoping that at the end of the tour, they would have switched songs and Clay would have sung the full Superstar. I have wanted to hear him sing that since AI Rewind.
  12. Oh, I would love to see a tv show with Ruben and Clay. I loved those old variety shows and watched pretty much all of them. Carol Burnett, Sonny and Cher, the Smothers Brothers, even Tony Orlando and Dawn. It's about time those kind of shows come back, because I got to tell you, I hate all of those reality shows that are on now. Sorry to any of you who like them but they definitely aren't for me. And KF, I think that whole bit with the Ruben and Clay 60's is just shtick because we've heard Clay sing some of those songs that Ruben is singing this tour. And Oh Girl was something that Clay sang before AI.
  13. luckiest, not sure if you found it yet, but I think canfly's 70's medley has Don't Go Breaking My Heart. The more clack I'm watching, the more I'm enjoying the show. I'd love to see a full performance of it. Right now, it feels kind of disjointed because of where the clack gatherers are snipping the clips. I can't wait until my shows. I knew I'd be impressed with Clay, but Ruben surprised me, especially on the medleys. Those are the kinds of songs that I'd like to hear him record. Now Superstar, I still would rather hear Clay sing it because it's so slow with Ruben, plus I've wanted to hear Clay sing the full song since we saw the clip on AI Rewind. And happy birthday KAndre.
  14. I have yet to watch one bit of clack or listen to any song, but just reading and looking at those gorgeous pics and I am one happy woman. I'm at work now but downloading as much as possible. I think I'll wait until tonight though, when the ladies are asleep, to watch my clack without having to get interrupted. I want to savor these clips. I cannot wait until my concerts. First one is Chatauqua.
  15. He looks so adorable and so young in that promo. I can't wait to see the interview tomorrow.
  16. Glad to know that Jerome will be around. We haven't seen him since the taping, I think. One more day and then the red reports. Can't wait. My first concert isn't until the 6th at Chatauqua. I'll be taking my daughter and then the next day I'm taking her to Niagara as a surprise. Then I'm driving back home long enough to sleep and then heading for Lancaster, which is a much shorter drive. And then on the 11th, I'm taking my daughter to the NYC concert.
  17. treenuts, I'm sorry to hear about your daughter. I hope everything works out ok. I also agree about the Rodney Ho interview. He didn't seem himself. Maybe just a bad day, but I also thought he was more annoyed by the fan questions. Can't say I blame him considering they were things that he had already answered at the OFC. I loved the interviews with Clay and Ruben and can't wait to see those two together.
  18. I think it looks like JBT hair too and he looks adorable. Can't say I blame him for getting it cut since it's been so freaking hot out.
  19. You're not alone bottlecap. I enjoyed seeing some of the private part of Clay (down treenuts), which Reed gave us a glimpse of. Not that I disagree with Clay's choice to be private because I don't want everyone knowing my business either. But I also enjoyed Reed as a person and thought he was a very sweet man and good for Clay. The fact that he is cute and built and very talented didn't hurt either. With all that being said, I don't understand the need for some fans to assign blame, especially since we don't know shit about the situation. I'm sad it's over and I want the best for both of them.
  20. Thanks cindilu. Surprised by Ashley being in the bottom because I like her better than Lauren, which surprised me because I liked Lauren during the auditions rounds. Just don't feel like she has shown much personality since.
  21. cindilu, I haven't seen the show yet but read about it at CV. I really liked Alex too and I felt so bad for him last night. Did they say whether he would get another chance next year or is he done now? And did they show who had been in the bottom?
  22. I didn't get one either but I am glad to see so many first timers getting one. A lot of the ones who won this time have never had a M&G. Lucia from Brazil got her first one which is awesome. And who am I to complain anyway since it looks like I may be going to The View next week.
  23. I thought I'd read somewhere that they were going to post the winners after they had all been notified. Maybe they were just saying that they would let us know that the winners had been decided. I still don't go there often, and I see that Couchie must never go over because I've been waiting forever for her to accept my friend request. I am sad about Clay and Reed. I came to like Reed and I certainly appreciate both his body and talent, along with that smile. I'm not going to judge on who is at fault here because none of us knows what happened. It could just be that they were at different stages of their lives. Reed is still in that boy/man stage where he likes to have fun and go out, and Clay is a self-admitted homebody who has responsibilities, especially his son. And I don't doubt that Parker comes first with him. My kids were always the most important part of my life when they were young and that love you feel for your child is so overwhelming in the beginning. It loosens as they get older otherwise you'd be following them to school and work everyday, but they are still my kids.
