I did not re-size the pix but PB seems to have re-sized them down a bit automatically. 

They're a bit grainy cuz I was zooming in from across the room (other than the last one and he was right in front of me for that one, lol) but reasonably happy with my Lumix's performance under the circumstances.

Yup. My class was outside in short sleeves painting pictures of spring flowers last Thursday and today it was cold and wet.

Due to health issues, one of our Toronto concert group members will not be able to attend our upcoming private concert in Toronto in a few weeks. While she is expected to make a full recovery, her recovery process has been much slower than anticipated and she asked us today to try to sell her "ticket" for her if we can.

For Sale: One "ticket" to the private concert in Toronto in a few weeks. The opening is at our lowest price tier.

As far as I know, the price is considerably lower than the lowest tiers for any other private concerts!

Saw this so had to post:

On Sunday I will be attending a memorial celebration for Muskifest's husband. He was a wonderful man and dad and he really went before his time. It's really a shocking thing to me that you can be walking around fine one week and 3 months later be gone from this earth. It's tragic and just a reminder not to spend any time on anything that doesn't make you happy. One of the things I treasure most about this ride we have all been on is the friendships. Some of them survive even when the thing that brought you together isn't the reason you remain friends.

OMG. So sorry to hear of the passing of Muski's husband! What happened that he went so quickly??? Cancer?

I'm not quite sure what "car" I'm in right now. I was in the "Sad that Clay won't be touring and recording in the foreseeable future but sure that he'll be continuing on in the entertainment field" car. Spoke to Luckiest1 before the show and she and I were pretty much in the same place and weren't in the "he's quitting" car...not my a long-shot.

I guess reading all of the angst got to me because during that last song at the gala, I was trying so hard to hold back the tears and my reaction that night as I sat beside Allclaylong was overwhelming sadness. She whispered, "What the HELL?" and I felt the same. It FELT like a good-bye of some sort.

Since then after talking to others, who are still in the "it's gonna be okay" car, I've felt better. I've gotten back to feeling a "good-bye to touring and recording Clay" (at least for now) but trying to put on my rose-coloured glasses and back to hoping for Broadway or something great for Clay.

2012 was a busy year for Clay! Thanks for putting that together LadyJ!

Hope 2013 is just as busy and that his "nap" is a short one!

I got an email notification about it a few days ago but RL has been kickin' me in the butt lately, so just getting to check it out now!

I'm going to both the Chicago concert and the Gala.

1. I'm flying in to chicago about 8:30pm on Wednesday night and staying at the Belden Stratford. Does anybody know 1 or 2 people who are at another hotel who would like to switch over to the Belden Stratford to be closer to the venue? Not 100% on the room cost for Thursday cuz my email doesn't say but Wed was $198 plus tax. I have Allclaylong staying with me on Thursday night but I'm all, all alooooooooooooooooone for Wednesday night in a suite with 2 queen beds. I knew luckiest1 was staying at the Days Inn, so didn't think to ask if she'd wanna switch over and wouldn't work anyhow cuz lauraq mentioned that she and luckiest have 3 in their room and because I have ACL with me on Thursday night, that would be 5 on Thursday with only 2 beds.

2. Fromclaygary and I are hoping to find a bite to eat after I get to the hotel if anybody else is interested...

3. Anybody else getting in late on Wed night, who'd want to share a taxi with me from the airport to the hotel?

4. Anybody at the Belden Stratford on the united 8:33am flight to RDU who'd wanna share a taxi with me to the airport in Chicago and then from RDU to the Marriott? I'm also thinking of looking at the cost for renting a car in Raleigh for Friday 11:30am to Sunday cuz parking is pretty cheap at the Marriott.

5. H2O? Can I crash the post-gala breakie at the Marriott?

Taking a quick Report Card break...

Quite amazing what Pink pulled together! Oh to have been a fly on the wall in the studio there yesterday!

I was able to copy the entire WTTW chat in it's entirety, so that I can actually read the whole thing sometime when I'm less busy... hopefully next weekend. Would you guys like me to post it here somewhere? It's obviously quite long.

Or did somebody else already get it copied and posted somewhere?

It does have everybody's names as they entered them on the chat, so Cindilu2's full name etc... , so maybe somebody would wanna go through it and delete out last names first? I dunno.

I tried to post on the WTTW chat for cindy, etc...but it didn't seem to go through.
