  1. ....WTH is the OC??.....and is it just me or does that look like a Linda Huber portrait? Linda Huber Either that, or a really good Etch-A-Sketch!
  2. And it will be announced on, or starting on, April 16th, right??
  3. I really love HYCA (also smacks canfly, mostly for the "old broad who has the hots for Clay Aiken" remark!), but from MOAM, like cindilu, I would have included RTM and my very favouritest of all, Perfect Day. From OMWH, it would have been EIDN or SAU...(talk about opposite ends of the romance spectrum though!) All in all, I'll take his choices, they are pretty much a cross section of his career, musically, and I know a lot of people are happy that "Ashes" is on it.
  4. Good luck with your trip home and your job interview on Monday, smitten! How's the throat?
  5. . Oh no I don't drink tea (I know turn in my British citizenship). In fact I don't drink anything hot except for a very rare drink of something called Ribena. It is a blackcurrant juice drink. Yum! Come to think of it I don't drink anything cold either. Just room temperature........I know I'm weird. My mother was British and didn't drink tea much either. My hubby's British, doesn't drink tea unless he's sick, likes his coffee black and hot, but likes his cold beverages room temperature too. I also have tasted Ribena and it IS yummy!
  6. Nope, I'm in the room with you too! I've always gotten my stuff on time, but I remember the hassle you've had. I was pleased to re-up my membership, even though, like cindilu, I'm not reading there unless he blogs....and hopefully, he will now because he doesn't HAVE to. I am nothing, if not optimistic!
  7. Wow, Reed is one beautiful dancer! I love watching him move. I think he and Clay are very lucky to have found each other.
  8. I just read on CV that Fountaindawg suggested (on the CH) that RCA should name the CD "On My Way Outta Here!" ETA, well, I thought it was funny!
  9. I'm glad you did! I remember it from quite a while ago and it was fun to see again. I think he's fine as the guys, but not so much as Beverley or Deanna! I agree with you there, and he actually makes a very sexy looking Worf! Yes, we do! And I'm looking forward to our next clebration!
  10. Hee!!! Either you left out a letter, or I'm going to have to figure out what "clebrating" is, especially if I was formerly involved with you, it, and a bottle of Chardonnay. But yeah, I'm clebrating his release, departure, disentanglement from RCA, too! (But without the chocolate!) THE BEST IS YET TO COME! and I believe that with all my heart!
  11. ....and the rooster hair, I figure they must have been having a fight! :clay: Anyway, Reed's a honey, I like him a lot better! For what it's worth, you have my blessings, Clay!
  12. Didn't Clay also blog that Jacob left to pursue his own career and he wished him luck with his new endeavours? Other than that I concur with everybody's take on the situation, that he wasn't willing to play by Clay's rules.
  13. Sorry, I'm late...just got home from work!! :thbighug-1: :thbighug-1: to my good buddy.............................. luckiest1
  14. I think he means Chris Seiber was offering tickets for Shrek, not Spamalot, since the bidding for Spam's bear didn't need any help and the show is closed anyway! Maybe that's why it was funny? (since Spam is closed) Hee! You may be right, I never thought of that! I agree though, it's wonderful that the Sir Robin bear got the highest bid (again!!). Don't you wish you had that kind of disposable income (or could use that kind of a tax credit)!
  15. I think he means Chris Seiber was offering tickets for Shrek, not Spamalot, since the bidding for Spam's bear didn't need any help and the show is closed anyway! I'm off today, but my DH is working so it's nice and quiet around here. We had a great day together yesterday so I'm not complaining.
  16. Peope who are still "coming to terms" with this aren't coming to terms with anything, they are using their martyrdom to get attention--and they make me want to gag. Those who rush to their aid--"give them time"--are getting secondary attention by being "tolerant" of this bullshit. They make me gag too. So shoot me. Not me, I totally agree with you. As my dear, departed, mother would say "It's time they either shit or got off the pot!
  17. Ok that's it, that's the straw...I am outta here. I just can't take it any more!!!! Can you imagine the meltdown if he told one in a blog!?! < I love this guy!!! Hee!
  18. I was another one with no internet experience before Clay came into my life. We had a computer at work (hubby and I owned our own business in a city just outside of Toronto) but I only used it for my accounting and as a work processor. One of our biggest customers insisted that we receive and send our PO's and invoices by an internet tradeweb so we had it set up. Meanwhile, because there was nothing else on TV we got hooked on AI2, and both of us were Clay fans from the first. We actually stopped watching the show during the time he was dropped from Group 2 and then came back on the Wildcard show. It was SOOOO frustrating not being able to vote because we were Canadian. I actually had my cousins in Michigan voting on my behalf and was so frustrated when they couldn't get through for one vote the night before the finale. Anyway, like most, I was devastated when he didn't win and so afraid we were going to lose him until one of our employees, a computer geek, suggested I search the net for information. I can do that? Wow, what an amazing invention!!! I found claytonaiken. com and posted in the guest book. In fact met up with a bunch of other fans there who started e-mailing each other and after about 3 months, discovered the CB forum and what it was. One person I met through the CB guest book was going to the Toronto AI show there, she offered to pick up a program for me and then later phoned and asked if I'd like to go to Albany with her to see the tour there. Would I??? That was the start of it. I saw the Albany AI2 show, then the IT in Nassau Colliseum in Long Is. NY, went to the NAT in Syracuse...where I met cindilu2, Clio (twice) and New Hampshire. Then because we closed our business and moved, I met up with the London folk and joined their group. (waves to goldarngirl, luckiest1, heinz, cindilu2, alspaz, canfly and now FromClaygary) Now, having seen Clay at least once in every tour (sometimes as many as 5), plus Spam and the Gala, for a total of about 30 times, I'm ready, with my wonderul travel buddy, Bella19, to get on the road and, once again, follow the man. Thank God for an understanding husband!
  19. Me too, I refuse to sweat the small stuff, or even the big stuff....what will be will be and no amount of angst on my part is gonna make one iota of difference. I'm not worrying about his career at all, ...but I sure miss him, damn it!
  20. You'd probably envy me more if you knew I was about 15 ft away from Paul McCartney and George Harrison...both times!. I went with the family of one of the execs from Capital Records in Canada and our seats were amazing!! Couldn't hear a darn thing, but OMG they were sooooo close!!! Proof positive it isn't what you know, but who you know! I forgot that I also saw Kenny Rogers, Paul Williams, Jose Feliciano and the guy who sang the Key Largo song (Bertie Higgins???) at Ontario Place Forum. ETA: "Seasons in the Sun"....Billy Jack, or something like that?
  21. OMG, Aikim, I was just writing this.... Cheesy? Hands down, Debby Boone "You Light Up My Life." Does anyone else absolutely hate "McArthur Park"? "Someone left the cake out in the rain, etc., etc...." Concerts?...it's obvious I am a leetle bit older than the rest of you, but in my day I've seen... The Everly Brothers Chuck Berry (many times, I think he was in every R & R show that traveled in the 50's) Jerry Lee Lewis The Coasters The Drifters The Beach Boys (3 times) Sonny & Cher Herman's Hermits Billy J. Kramer The Animals The Dave Clark 5 The Beatles (twice) Herb Alpert & the Tijuana Brass w/ Brazil 66, whom I loved!!!! Johnnie Mathis James Taylor Neil Young Clay Aiken (31 times...he holds the record...and my heart!)
  22. And, if I recall correctly, in LTS, his mom mentioned in her spaghetti recipe that Clayton did not like bell peppers or mushrooms, so methinks mushrooms are distasteful to him, but not necessarily an allergy. Hmmmm??? Ergo, I must be extremely allergic to refried beans!
  23. Forget it, I'm just going to lurk from now on. Scarlett and goldarngirl, thanks so much for the amazing video!
  24. I read of your dilemma on CV, smitten. Hopefully you'll get them now. This must be so frustrating for you! Crossing my fingers!
  25. I would love it if this is true and Clay really is writing another book...goes to stake out a spot at the corner of Staff and Only (waves to Jamar!) Kim I read this over twice, and to me, I don't see where it's saying that a new book is in the works....just the author's theory that he would make more money if he wrote another one. Sorry, not trying to burst any bubbles. That was my take too, much as I'd like it to be true. The "according to a source" was in reference to the $700,000 advance, not the follow-up, which was in brackets and IMO just the writer's speculation.
