  1. Apologies for intruding on the discussion but when I made my very first post on this board it was in regard to a play that someone had inquired about. The theme of it revolved around Clay and I said I knew that there was going to be such a thing. Anyway, it is a dinner-theater type show and it will be held next month in a small town near my home. Here's what it says -- Colonial House Restaurant and Bar 129 Howertown Road Catasauqua, PA 18032 http://www.colonialhouserestaurant.com/specialevents.htm Murder Mystery Dinner Theater Reservations Are Required - Seating at 7:00 PM Show Starts at 7:30 PM - Dinner served during show $39.00 + tax & gratuity - Call 610-264-0861 for Details *Please note seats do sell out fast!* Friday, October 10, 2008 "American Idol Threat: Clay's Revenge" SING OR DIE!!!!!!!!! There is a likeness of Clay with a likeness of the AI logo in the background. It is being presented by WhiteRose Productions. It is a local communicty theater and the previous show that I attended was based on Judge Judy's courtroom. I saw that production back two years ago. Since this is a murder mystery dinner show, I'm wondering is Simon gets "murdered" and Clay gets blamed. hee Will call for tickets tomorrow.
  2. Iseeme I wanted to answer in regard to your questions about Clay's interview and Miss Oklahoma. One of the questions Shaun Robinson asked him was either who he would like to take to the AMA or the type of girl he would like to take and Clay responded "someone like Miss Oklahoma". He then went on to say that she was smart and gorgeous. I remember because at the time I was not an internet fan but I had caught that interview. I was keeping my fingers crossed that she would be his date. The night of the AMA, I was at a concert and when I came home I couldn't wait to tune in to the show. When they showed a clip of Clay walking the red carpet with Amber, I noted that he didn't take Miss O. afterall but dang, I did think he and Amber made the cutest couple. Also, you are correct about there being a print article about he and Miss O. In fact, I have the mag right in front of me. It was "In Touch" dated Nov. 10, 2003 and the title of the article was "Has Clay found his Miss Right? I don't know how to scan the article but here's the gist of the article. It goes on to say that Kelley Scott caught the singer's eye when they met at the MAP and Kelley told In Touch that she can hardly wait to go on a date with him. The article actually is very nice and it portrays Clay in a very positive way. Below is the final paragraph of the article -- So when will Clay and Kelley finally have a chance for that first date? Well, this ladylike Southwestern beauty says that the ball is firmly in Clay's court. We haven't spoken since the MAP, Kelly said wistfully. We'll just have to wait and see if he calls." Over to you Clay. Now this was back in 2003 and at a time when I actually believed what was in these magazines. I think I'm not the only one who has since learned that these mags take a bit of the truth and embellish and put their own slant on a piece so who knows if this Kelley actually said this. It does sound like a direct quote but OTOH, I am reading here at FCA that she was engaged so I'm confused why she would have been waiting for Clay to call. As I read this article now for the first time in years, I am reminded of a time when things said about Clay were so much more favorable and obviously when it was more widely accepted that he was a young single, available man who was interested in women. When and where the heck did it all take such a nosedive? After the tabloid crap of 2006?
  3. But life is not a storybook. Not your life, not mine and not Clay's. Also a fan may think of Clay as not-really-a-stranger, but would he know them on the street? Would he not consider that person on the street a stranger? Even if they ran up to him and explained that they are a huge fan and posted on the message boards as *insertboardnamehere* ... he still probably doesn't feel like he knows that fan personally. Sure we've had 5 years to get to "know" him but he hasn't had the same opportunity. Obviously, I am not naive enough to think that life is a storybook. I was merely saying that I could picture, fantasize, imagine, desire a "storybook" type of relationship and wedding like Ruben had. That's all. There are others like me who think the same but on most boards will not post it because of the reaction they would get just like the ones Iseeme and I are receiving here. It's just one of those things I had hoped would come about during the time I followed and supported Clay. Heck, on many boards over the years, people would talk about the red-headed babies Clay would one day father and they hoped to be around to see it. I doubt that's going to happen either especially now because the way Clay guards his personal life, I doubt he is going to be flashing pics of his children to the casual passer-by. I get it. It's just another pipe dream. Some of us like to have those and some don't. I don't pass judgement or critisize those who don't and I would appreciate the same courtesy. Perhaps this board is not for me afterall. When I first lurked here, I thought people were more open to opinions other than their own. Apparently, I was wrong.
  4. I guess I just can't relate to feeling this strongly about a stranger's private life, regardless if he is a stranger that I've been following for 5 years. I just really, really, REALLY want him to be happy and fulfilled, and I don't think it's my place to define or guess what will do that for him. Saw a pic of Jaymes on another board (supposedly taken yesterday) and she doesn't look 8 months pregnant to me. Today I'm leaning towards the negative side of the IIT equation. Ask me again tomorrow and I may have changed my mind. Luckiest if you read my entire post, I did say that perhaps Clay is more comfortable in a relationship that doesn't require a storybook wedding. Just my own fantasy for him. I don't think it's all that unusual for some fans to want that for him. Let's face it. Given the circumstances of how he came to be on the celebrity scene just makes it easier for some, myself included, to be somewhat interested in other parts of his life. I realize it is not everyone's cuppa but it is mine. I don't expect everyone to agree. I've followed other movie stars and singers over the years and was interested in who they dated, etc. That's what celebrity magazines were for i.e. Photoplay and there was another one. That was before the celeb mags became tabloid-type publications. You know they were filled with pictures but void of all the sleeze.
  5. Iseeme I feel exactly like you about the storybook wedding. When I read the article and saw the pics of Ruben's wedding, I felt so sad. Not sad for Ruben and his bride as I am very happy for them, but sad for Clay (and me) because it wasn't Clay. Perhaps Clay really doesn't want that storybook wedding but I do believe a good number of his fans were waiting for that big day for him. I think this is how many pictured it happening for Clay. I think it was so sweet and romantic how Ruben pursued her out the door at the CD signing. I can't imagine Clay ever doing that but then again, I often felt that Ruben was much more confident and comfortable approaching women than Clay was/is. IIT and I am one who believes it is, maybe Clay has given up on thinking he can find his true love/soul mate with an age-appropriate pretty young woman. Maybe it's enough for him to share parenthood in a platonic relationship with an older woman. Maybe he admires someone like Jaymes who is older, wiser, more mature and more importantly, maybe he feels he can trust her more. Again, my comments are based on the story if true with the details as reported. Only time will tell I suppose. Having said the above, IIT, I mourn the loss of that storybook wedding scenario. I just can't imagine if he is going to settle into a platonic relationship how that will affect his chance of finding a romantic partner. Of course, it is possible that he and Jaymes are involved and have been a couple under the radar. I do have a difficult understanding though if that's the case, his flirting with Hannah and the butt pinch she gave him. She (Hannah) must have been under the assumption that he was "available" and thus, was comfortable enough to do so.
  6. Love your name as well Bella and your dog is just adorable!
  7. Iseeme I hear you about bringing dogs home. While I love all the dogs, there are of course, some at the shelter who for one reason or another become favorites. I would love to just foster one at a time until they get adopted but already having a huge dog, it wouldn't work out. I tried that last year when someone was looking for a home for a young shepherd. We brought her home but my Belle was terrified because the younger dog was so frisky. My dog suffers anxiety at times and thus needs to remain an only dog. Admittedly, there are many times that I cry all the way home because I would love to see all the dogs find loving homes. There are two or three that most likely will live out their days at the shelter. However, they still have a better life there than at the places where they came from. That's what I like about this "no-kill" shelter. There are groups of people who come twice a day to let the dogs out, play with them and walk them weather permitting but even in light rain, they still get walked. Clay content -- I love The Real Me. I'm not sure to whom Clay is referring in the song because he's kind of changed his tune when talking about it but I suspect that's what he wants -- for us to interpret as we all see fit. Probably one of my other favorites is "As Long As We're Here". I love the melody and instrumentation and of course, Clay's voice. There are some lyrics in that song which I interpret as he could be singing about Vernon i.e. building up walls etc. Again, thanks for the welcome.
  8. Thank you for answering my question about the dog walker designation. How fitting. Every Thursday night, I drive to Allentown and walk the dogs at a "no-kill" animal shelter. I love those dogs and enjoy their walk as much as they do. Additionally, I give them some TLC. We had a huge yard sale on Saturday and raised $1100 for the shelter. As you can tell, I am a big dog lover...well, I love animals in general and I have a big 120 lb. German Shepherd named "Belle". The ultimate dog walking job of course, would be walking Raleigh and Durham. I'm pretty sure they already receive a huge dose of TLC from their Daddy.
  9. Okay I have a question. Beneath my scream name, it says "dog walker". Where did that come from? I have a specific reason for asking.
  10. Thanks for the welcome. I recognize some names here. The show I attened was a murder mystery held in Judge Judy's courtroom. It was a low-budget type of production with really no setting to speak of and only a handful of props. The characters would walk around the room between tables and would direct some of their remarks to the dinner guests. In fact, one of the remarks was directed to my husband about his hair. After the murder took place ( which occured when the lights were dimmed) and the play/show was over, the audience received a slip of paper and we had to guess who committed the murder and what the motive was. When I saw the listing of upcoming shows and Americal Idol Clay's Revenge being one of them, my immediate thought was how Clay Aiken despite not winning the show was the name most likely to be forever etched in the minds of people in years to come when they think about AI. As I posted earlier, I don't believe this particular show/play was ever presented at the same fire company because I never saw it advertised. Perhaps the production company just stopped doing them for a period of time so it is interesting that this call for auditions now appears. I will keep an eye out for when and where it can be seen.
  11. Hello I found this board quite by accident recently and started to lurk. Some of you may know me by the same screen name at the Clayboard. As I was skimming through the thread this evening, I saw a mention of something and I thought I would respond to it. The link about " American Idol - Clay's Revenge" and folks were wondering what it was. The small town where the auditions are being held is very close to where I live. On the evening that Clay was at the Snowflake Lighting, I attened a dinner theater at a local fire company. The evening I attended the play was a "who dunnit" type of production and the theme was based on the Judge Judy Show on television. When I read my playbill/program, I saw a listing of dinner shows to be held in the future. One of those was "AI - Clay's Revenge". It was listed for a date in the coming spring. When spring arrived, I never saw that particular show advertised anywhere. I believe this recent announcement of auditions is the very same production company that presented the "Judge Judy" show I attended. I just think they are now getting around to preparing for the "AI Clay's Revenge" show which I saw advertised a while back. Hope this helps clear it up. Gee, I have some acting experience. Perhaps I should audition and then I can get the scoop on the whole story line. Other than that, sorry I barged into the discussion at hand.
