  1. That's lovely! And now that you mention it it's blindingly obvious.
  2. Yep, I agree with my bolded above. And if he lied to us when he said he wasn't gay -- in I think Rolling Stones -- I feel that's understandable. Most people would. It's his private business. His public business is to sing and to tell us what he wants us to know. Unfortunately the tabs -- written and TV -- have set out to indoctornated everyone that it's our God given right to know, and judge, every little detail of a celebrity's life. It was hard for everyone, I think, to process the news from last night. For some it was even harder than learning he was having a baby out of wedlock with Jaymes. I think I might have been in the latter camp, mostly because of the horrible way a lot of fans posted. It made me feel bad and pretty much kept me from reading the boards (OFC, and CB) for awhile. But as with all the other crises surrounding Clay, this too shall pass.
  3. I'm crazy about OMWH too! Love it, love it, love it. Looking back at the vid we saw while he was making the album adds a whole other layer to what he must have been thinking. I remember wondering why Jaymes wasn't shown. Also, when he, in his green sweater, leaned over the piano watching the piano player. Then he looked over at Kipper with such a pensive smile. He probably had a million things running though his mind. Re the hair color discussion: I remember when he dyed his natural red/blond hair dark the first time. Man did I dislike it. Then when he had his close to natural hair color for the album cover and promo tour, I couldn't get used to that either. Knowing Clay, he'll go through a lot more styles and colors as time goes by. I must admit that the dark blond with highlights sounds veeeeery interesting. Hippo thanks for posting the Spam Goodbye gif. I could look at that for hours (wishing it would slow down so I could see more.)
  4. While I also wish Gustav would fizzle before it reaches land, I agree that Houston could take the blast better than poor NO. We were in Houston last year for Clay's tour stop and it rained and rained. There was flooding, not like storm surges from a hurricane blast, but the city is on higher ground and the water receded. NO would be under water for weeks. We moved to Round Rock, a bit north of Austin, in Sept of '06 and have had more 'interesting' weather than we had in all my years in SoCal. I love the rain, and big blue skies, heck even the thunder. And tornedo watches/warnings have almost become ho hum. Looooove the pix and mosaics. The man is gorgeous even when he doesn't look his best. I still have 5th Grader on my DVR and I think I'll go look at it again. When I watched it live I was too concerned about him winning big, that while I noticed something a miss about his appearance, I couldn't decide what was wrong. Unfortunately I'm not good about enjoying his TV appearances -- barring Kimmel or course -- the first time I see them because his goofy side seems to take over. Goofy Clay is adorable, but not, for me, during interviews done by people. like Leno maybe, who may not like him as much as we do. But I'm missing him and even silly Clay would hit the spot. Thanks for the welcomes!
  5. Should I guess?? Should I guess?? LOL! (Dang, I can't post an emoticon!)
  6. Hi, I'm LAluvsClay and have gone by that name since I joined the Clayboard in June of '03. I was happy there for a number of years until the conspiracy theories, jealousy, etc pretty much reduced my fun level to zero. When all the boards started in early '03 people looked out for Clay and each other, then a lot of new faces arrived who seemed more used to a much different dynamic. You know, the idea that because they aren't face to face with a person, and will likely never be, they can post anything they want and hide behind the old 'I'm entitled to my opinion'. But sometimes those people were just there to stir up trouble. This led to long stretches of just taking a quick look at The Street for news, but unfortunately the same old topics get bumped so I lmostly looked and left quickly. The OFC is far worse and I can't stomach being there anymore. When I read this board's philosophy, I knew this would be a good place.
