  1. GAH!!! RL is really tough on me this week....

The biggest thing that I'm facing is my driving test tomorrow...I flunked my first driving test 20 years agon and never drove since. This year I finally went out and paid for driving school and tomorrow I will take that test.....I believe I can do it, its just nerve wracking...so any positive vibes and prayers will be appreciated.

Then I had doctors appointments, vet appointments, had to go in and teach for two days...and I got more responsibilities on my on line job that took most of my precious online time the past two days...sigh

So I haven;t really been able to post or even read much about this new event...but I have to say...

    I LOVE THE FCA!!!!

so many wise women and I am so happy that for the members that are struggling...some were able to share their feelings. Its great to know that we still don't need to mod much even at times like this in the fandom.

Well I am off to school...won't be able to see GMA...won't be able to report on it...hope someone can.

So PROUD of CLAY...and he is sooooo CUTE and GORGEOUS!!!!

  2. My DD just come home and I mentioned it to her.

    Her reaction?

    Yay!

    ????

Honestly...this was my spontaneous reaction when I heard that this was confirmed. I just felt this sudden feeling of joy and ... relief that this question is finally put to rest and he can go ahead and just enjoy his life and career.

I guess to me it was not really a change cos it was always there in the back of my mind as a possibility. That is why I never really argued with anyone when they tell me he is gay...I just say I don;t think so but who knows and who cares.

Hugs to those dealing with this change....

    looking forward to this interview...

  3. Wow..beautiful pics and great blog from Broadway.com!!!

He does look so much younger in the SD pictures...but his pictures during the premiere were so gorgeous too. I don't automatically love glasses pictures...but these were simply perfect. It made him looks so much more mature and debonair.

I am looking forward to meeting many FCAers in Jan. Couchie and I will be exploring the city after the 4th and staying till the 8th. I have decided not to read any reports on Clay;s performance. I wan't to be surprised on Jan 3...my first show!!!! EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE

  4. I'm really liking Fringe! and I totally love the new CW dramedy Privileged...I checked out the new 90210 just out of curiousity ended up watching.

Tuesday will be full for me with House, Fringe, Priveleged and so far 90210...hee

Can't wait for heroes next Monday...

Ace of Cakes is just so great to me. What a simple concept yet the great natural characters and the great editing, truly makes this show pretty absorbing. What I love about Canadas Food Network are the British and Australian shows. I love the Australian Food Safari. For people that love ethnic dishes...I highly recommend this. I also think the British Kitchen Nightmares is so much better than the American production, there's no comparison. I am curios about Ramsay's new show...the F word.

I am enjoying this years ANTM...it is totally campy! It also has interesting model wannabe's a trans gender, a bisexual and a small town girl from Alaska getting all kinds of culture shock.

Right now I still don't have any faves for Fridays and Saturdays...as usual. But most days are getting quite filled...hee

  5. I think one of the very important differences between the judges on AI and those on SYTYCD is the passion that the latter feel for dance. It is so obvious that they care about the whole world of dance, including the choreographers, dancers, teachers and fans. If Mary were doing her thing only for effect, it would be impossible to take, but she really seems to care about the performance and the performers.

I always hated the auditions on AI, but I can only agree with Nigel when he rips into people with very poor qualifications who are teaching dance. He also obviously cares deeply about dance and I think he sees SYTYCD as a vehicle to promote dance to a very large audience.

    Very true!!!

I got to catch one audition episode of SYTYCD Canada. There were some really good dancers on last night...I was pleasantly surprised. Also liked the judging and the focuse on interesting stories and good dancing instead of the bad dancers.

  6. oh no Jazzgirl!!! sorry about your basement. We get a flooded basement every spring just from the thaw of the snow and ice...so we do have a sump pump.

with appliances and electronics...hubby said just to makes sure you dry it out before trying to turn it on.

(((for those affected by this storm)))) we are getting the effects of Ike too. The winds are higher...

    but not much rain yet.

  7. So Kandre and Jemock both went to the school of no white spaces? My poor strained eyes!!!

Thanks for posting your Clay bio Jemock...

I am so out of touch with other areas of the fandom cos some of the references went over my head...but yeah, that pretty much characterizes the crazy nature of this fandom.

pretty interesting facts about Clay's QVC appearance...not shabby at all.

  8. :bday2: :bday2:

    Merieeee

GAH...I am turning into a lurker on my own board....(I mean couchies...hee) but working 6 to 8 hours online really puts a strain on the eyes and by the time I let myself read the board...too tired to even respond.

Muski...glad to hear your MIL is on the mend.

Gray hair...hmmm the last time I had my hair professionally colored we chose a color leaning towards a red tint...with my dark hair...the gray turned into highlights...very cool.

  9. yeah I really wish its still on. SYTYCD gets replayed here in MTV Canada.

I truly love this show...even that annoying Mary...she adds texture and flavor to the whole thing. I agree that Cat is one of the best host I have ever seen. I really wish some miracle would happen and she gets to host AI instead of Ryan. It is just so obvious that she totally cares about the contestants.

Yup this show really is a celebration of dance.

  10. Ack! I've been taking Idiian (as in India) cooking classes. and in a moment of insanity I invited friends over for an Indian dinner.

Oh. My. God. I've been chopping for frigging hours.

    WHAT WAS I THINKING???????

The girls, SIL and I did an authentic Indian supper once...everything from scratch...we were tired in the end and the Kitchen was a mess but the supper was delicious. Then one day I was in the grocery store and I see these bottled Indian Sauces...papadams and basmatti rice. I could have

    recreated our dinner by myself...hee

good luck and have fun with it!

    whats your menu?
