  1. Muski...I think most of the time I do agree with you about how Clay looks. I mean I see Clay and think hmmm not so hot there...oh he is looking a bit puffy. But then I forget about it and move on. I guess like Couchie I don;t get that stressed over the way he looks. I have stopped worrying about how other people might see him and just accept that not everyone will like what he looks like. Now is 5th grader the time someone gave an early report on his hair that got everyone all worried? Cos I remember when it finally showed I was like...that was not bad at all...I have seen worse. So I think this is one instance where I didn't totally agree with you about his hair. But of course that's ok. I don't see anyone saying you don't love him just because you thought his hair was greasy...no need to explain just as no one need to justify why they didn't think he looked that bad or thought he was cute. Just a difference of opinion.

I think I am like KAndre that there are a lot of times when I don't see him as hot, but there are a lot of times when he can take my breath away but also lots of times when I think...aww he looks ok. I have to admit that DCAT was one time I wasn't going GA GA over the fan pictures, but that didn't really diminish my own enjoyment of that tour and his talent and performances. I do prefer it when he is not too puffy in the face. I do love those cheek bones and prefer it when it is more prominent. But I also don't like him AI2 thin. Thats just too much angles.

For someone who does not care too much about his looks...I sure had a lot to say...hee.

Awww aikim...thanks for sharing with us your daughters wedding high and lows. I will be in your shoes soon enough but I hope not earlier than 10 years since my two teens are only 15 and 13. Sorry, can't be any help on the slip and pantyhose...I try my best to avoid them and I haven;t worn slips since I left my moms influence. Of course she always used to send me some but I just gave them away to goodwill.

Hope everyone has a great long weekend!!!

  2. I was in the store with a friend of mine. She is on her 3rd I -phone and is still having problems. I was checking out the door and planning my escape from the store when he came in. I was excited but no one else seemed to care. The worker helping my friend said he comes in every now and then. He had on tan long shorts. His shirt was a button down but It was not long sleeves. He had on slip on tennis shoes that looked like the old converse but updated and they didnt have laces. I was trying hard not to let on that I was watching him.

My friend was making fun of me because I was so excited and she said she would never let me live it down because I went to see Spamalot. I just wanted to share with someone who could get as excited as I was yesterday.

Hi Claygary! You cant know who I am because I've never posted before tonight. My daughter came up with the name today.

I'm heading back into lurksville unless I see Clay again. I don't care what anyone thinks.... He is so cute in person.

Hey this made me post finally!!!

Welcome nc rocks and thanks for sharing your experience. I'm sure it was exciting for you!!! Love the fact he was shopping for Parker...can;t wait to see the new hair.

well this new job is really eating up my posting time...Its 40 online hours a week!!! so whats left of my computer time is enough to just read and keep up with the adventures of Scarlett and Kandre.

That is why I have been a bit lax on the the banner changing...oh and the problem that we do not have any new banners!!! sniff...

You guys just keep having interesting conversations!!! Its getting hard to jump in with a short post when I want to comment on so much.

OH NO!!! I fell asleep for AYSTAFG!!!

Oh no!!! I see the spork on the CITH assignment. I will have to bow out on that one...really no time lately. I have neglected FCA website and that is going to be my priority as my girls go back to school full time next week. Maybe after that I can start listening to my song.

Glad to hear about your NYC adventure CG...all I can say is that ...I WILL BE SEEING SPAM IN JAN!!!

I know how it is about missing something Clay because of family and finances. Just happy that this job will make it possible for me to make the trip and the girls are old enough that a week away won't be such a strain to the family.

    :F_05BL17blowkiss: :F_05BL17blowkiss:

  3. When you say you love me is a lighthearted..bouncy song!

I do think the choice of songs is very much influenced by the type of singer Clay is ....with his range and intensity, I think there is a tendency to choose songs that are more intense and emotional.

    ((((Iseeme)))) sorry about your MIL!!!

KAndre and Scarlett...thanks for sharing your adventure with us!!!!

Clothes line drying...hubby keeps encouraging us to use the line....the house gets humid when we use the dryer...but my daughter's clothes are all so tiny I hate hanging them...my arms get tired so I just use the dryer...

  4. BANNER CHANGE!!!!

in Honor of Clay's return to spamalot and our two globetrotters that are stuck in Newark airport needing some diversion....maybe you guys can just watch the fascinating animation brought to us by the talented...

    Cindilu2...Thank you!!!

and thanks for the great pin designs....love them all!!!

    Welcome Preden!!!

and thanks to all for sharing the baby stories and pictures!!! I keep meaning to add my own stories and pictures but have been too busy with work and kids ...I am usually too tired by the time I finish catching up.

But I am so happy we all can find all kind of things to talk about .. :F_05BL17blowkiss: :F_05BL17blowkiss:

OK ...one more week of summer...Next Thursday the girls are back to school...YAY!!!

    but first...back to school shopping...shudder...

  5. Lotus... I stood in line at Kimmel with Erin. She said she was picked out while in line and that the whole question sequence was rehearsed and she was given the answers... Clay's first attempt at acting... :cryingwlaughter:

This makes a lot more sense to me than the fact that she already knew how much he paid for that red leather jacket!!!

    grease.gif

(we need some more decorations on this page!)

If I remember correctly the fans on the boards knew the price of that jacket...I think there was an interview either with him or the stylist where the price was revealed. The questions were really not that difficult for the internet fans..I remember I knew all the answers too.

  6. {{{Clayzedover}}} Sending you good thoughts and prayers for a full recovery!

    Cotton, neat placemats!

I think the extent to which Parker can just see him just as Dad can be influenced by how much people are willing to step back and let them be. If all your playmates are skipping off to the nearest fishing spot and you have to be taken via helicopter by people with walkie-talkies, then you know that things are "special". I think the best gift that the fans can give to him is just like the best gift we can each give to our own children -- to let them grow.

Like Couchie, I'm a Clarker fan. I admit that I would love to see a picture but it ends up that all I could do is imagine then so be it.

    WORD my wise friend....

  7. My gut also tells me the Family Clay will be together in NYC. I think the main difference with most dads that need to travel is the control he has of the situation. Baseball players traveling with a team is not a good stable environment for a baby, with other dads the problem is financial. I think the fact that this is a steady gig is great for the baby and Jaymes. I'm sure they all can afford a perfect place to live in....If my guts is wrong and they live apart...that won't matter to me cos I;m sure they have a good reason for doing so and they really don't need to explain themselves to anyone.

  8. I'm not sure why it's so important to everybody - or seemingly everybody - that Clay and Jaymes be romantically involved. Why can't they be just dear friends like he said? Maybe there wasn't a hidden message in that but just simply that they're good friends. It happens. I've never shipped the two of them - don't even want to think about it to be honest. But everywhere you read these days the speculation is running rampant that again - Clay said one thing but MUST have meant 1000 other different things. You'd think the man speaks in tongues because he sure isn't taken at his word!

I don;t go to other boards so I will only speak to what I see from here...I see most people here are open to BOTH possibilities. I think most of the arguments put forth is that his use of dear friends does not necessarily exclude a more romantic relationship...I don't see anyone here insisting that they are romantic. I know a few tend to think they are ...but as far as I can see they are not ramming the notion down anyone's throat. As far as I can see everyone is taking his word that Jaymes is his dear friend...so since he hasn't said...and no there is nothing romantic between us...then I don't think its going against what he says to wonder about whats not being said.

And I STILL say that whatever fertility measures were taken were probably done in North Carolina where Clay spends most of his time when he's not on tour (or in Spamalot!) IVF can take a long time to be successful. Why would Jaymes go somewhere else then to have the baby? Seems to me she would stay with the doctors (assuming my theory has any merit) that helped her to conceive - you know, continuity and all that! NC is a haven for Clay and he probably has the most freedom to move around there - NOT in Los Angeles, that's for sure! So I guess I'm also in the camp that doesn't see anything mystical or romantic about Parker being born in NC. Seems to me like it was a logical conclusion....again, assuming my theory has merit.

Well why would it be done in NC when the mother...the one that has to go to the doctor for this procedure...the one that has to be going to prenatal visits...is not from NC. During the time of conception Clay was busy with a tour. He has said that the last time he was in NC for a extended period of time was like in October 2007...So to me, unless their relationship is much closer and Jaymes actually has established residence in NC the past year...it does not make sense for her to have her doctor in NC. That actually supports the notions that their bond is very close. As you pointed out, Jaymes is a professional woman that has her own family friends and career...and it seems to me that would be closer to BC and LA...at the other side of the country from NC. This is why I was surprised this happened in NC...cos it would seem that she has established a high comfort level in Clay's home when must have a lot of family and friends in Vancouver and LA.

Probably I'm being too realistic and not schmoopie enough.

I don't know...I think its more realistic to be open to any possibility cos we really don't know anything. All we know is Clay and Jaymes had Parker and she gave birth in NC. We know they have a strong bond and that Clay considers her his dear friend.

Oh and the marriage thing....we know Clay wants to have a family...did he actually say he wants to be married? Even if he does...we don't know how Jaymes feels about the subject.

For the record...I do think they have a platonic relationship right now. But I also am open to any possibility. I just don't have to be black and white about anything. I like to see things in grays... I am also not in a wait and see mode. It will be fine if this is all we really know....

  9. Oh the fact that the baby was born in NC was a surprise to me and really made me go hmmm...

I think the argument that it will be better in NC away from the paparazzi really does not cut it with me cos...well wouldn't Vancouver better for that? Why NC when everybody knows Clay is there and would be an easy target...

I actually think returning to Spamalot may be more desirable now because there is more stability for him and his family...EEEEEEEE his family...that has a nice ring to it...

I really think a lot of people's priorities change once the baby is born and there is a stronger need to just nest. I know I have two very career minded friends that gladly became stay at home moms when they had babies.

  10. Clay and Money, I am sure he has wisely invested what he has. He does not just do stuff, he seems to think about it for a long, long time.

    :preachit:

Here's another ignorant set of questions. For a Caesarean you have an incision, don't you? Doesn't that take awhile to heal? Like more than a couple of days? Do you go back for checkups or do they just throw you out the door and say "call us"? What was it like taking care of a baby and trying to get the care and rest you need to heal from the Caesarean?

I think that is whats tough about C section...its healing after. I think it really took me a whole month to be totally healed. My hubby was great about all the support. Its tough when you have kids, specially toddlers. Now they try to make you walk pretty early...like 24 hours later but its really tough to move. So I just really took care of the baby and hubby took care fo the house and the other kids. For the stitches...it really depends...one time for me the stitches just melted away I think other time they were staples and the nurse took it out before I left the hospital. That was a bit freaky for me I remember, I got all scared the first time that it would just burst open, hee...Then they just taught us how to take care of the incision.

  11. Thanks, annabear and Thankful! In the interest of full disclosure, I didn't create the baby emotie - found it ages ago (during my fanfic days, lol). I just added the hat and the Dad Rocks! bubble. :-)

The hat made it all work, cindilu!

On the hospital stay topic, did you all really leave that quickly? I remember that my first was born on the 23rd and went home on the 27th, and just about the same number of days (3-4) for the other two.

Scarlett I know here in Canada they do encourage moms to go home early, if possible the next day. But they do have nurses that go to homes to check on mom and baby. I was C section and always had 4 days stay. Longest was cait...but that was because we only found out about the DS on the third day so the next two days were mostly for extensive tests on cait.

  12. Wanna know what strikes me as odd about the leaving the hospital pics?

Usually, when you're leaving you are loaded down with flowers and teddy bears and whatnot. Where's all the stuff???!!!

    :)

Oh I'm pretty sure they can have two or more cars that came in to take any extraneous stuff away. I'm pretty sure they knew the paparazzi's were there so minimal fuss is the best strategy.

Hee has anyone seen a cargo pants and plad long shirt sleeves for babies???

my personal rule...I don;t click on TMZ or any gossip sites. never even been on PH site ever. But if the pictures or videos were ripped by others and are there for us to enjoy...I will do so with no guilt.

  13. Bookwhore...I do understand what you are saying and I agree that there are probably a lot of fans that are holding on to the idea of a romantic relationship to ward off the gay specter. But I do think a lot of people are simply romantics at heart who would like to see Clay in a loving romantic relationship. Now saying that they would like to see him in one type of relationship does not mean they think a friendly relationship is bad or think he is making a mistake. To me...when you say a person is judging...it means they have made a pronouncement that something was bad or good. But sometimes some people simply would prefer one situation over another without thinking the other is bad. Its like choosing between chocolate and vanilla...there are times I like both but I usually prefer chocolate but I am not saying vanilla is bad. So just having a preference does not mean you have made a judgment about the intrinsic value of the other choice. Similarly..I think when Play suggested that they may actually be married...I think she was just making a point that we really don't know many details of their life. I didn't think she is judging them and saying they should be married.

AWWW those pictures are adorable... Jaymes is looking good!!! Don;t think she gained much weight...lucky her!!!
