  1. sure hope you are right because there is one person going who ALWAYS has to find fault in everything he does and she looks for all the flaws, IMO.

I can think of one cellcerter that is always fangirly....Hmm who might that be? I can in fact guaranteeee there will be no "pissy" stuff from this CH cellcerter! Nudge, nudge, wink, wink!

oh is that my favoritest cellcerter??? She is often accompanied by equally fangirly and fun friends that manages to add colorful commentary???

  2. YAY for TK and Rachel...

please let Nicholas and grandpa get there first ...YAY...YAY...

I have never been so happy about a final three...anyone of these people can win for me...

    YAY!!!!!

well at least she was self aware in the end there...

  3. YAY Ron and Christina...what I like about this team is ...Ron started our really bad but he really changed through. And Christina I think has been one of the ebst racers ever...very calm and knowing the languages...big advantage.

WOW how will Jen go through this task!!!

WOW she was very good at it...

  4. When you are nervous about being behind, you make mistakes.

Interesting about the tickets on a flight, and had them lie to others - so many tried it before and did not succeed. I wonder if our old friend Karma will appear?

Play they really did get the last ticket. I don;t think an airline would ever not sell a ticket to help someone thats why Christina sid she does nto feel guilty cos it was true.

and YAY...Jen and Nate are falling apart!!! I would love it if they do get eliminated.

  5. Isn't it great...that Clay is so versatile that he will always have something to satisfy for glory note lovers like Kandre and subtle Clay lovers like me... sigh

oh Claytonic...you will have a great time watching all that clack and catching up on all the Clay info...Just ask and someone will surely know the answer.

Its so funny that when I first saw group 2 episode I never saw Clay except for the little blurb on Hollywood week and was really looking forward to Ruben and Kimberley. I have to admit...my first reaction to Clay was...too cheesy. HEEE.. and look at where I am today!!!

So two more weeks of AI rewind that I can conveniently forget...then its Clay on TV EVERY WEEK...EEEEEEEEEEEEEE

  6. great timing...they were showing Dreamgirls in the movie Channel and just caught Jennifers I'm not going...I definitely love the tone of Quiana's voice better than Jennifer's...I think what moved me with jennifer's performance is the emotion she showed with every bit of her body and face. The fact that she had close ups may give her a slight advantage. This being Quiana's first stage performance...its is amazing that she can hold up to comparison with an Oscar caliber performance.

  7. Kim kinda lost me on the ...You suck comment...that was too childish. At the time...I was really impressed with her SOTR, but now, I can see all the flaws.

I really think that Simon simply liked Ruben...I think he figures he gets him. he never got clay and that bothered Simon I think.

Heh! I loved Kim's comment to Simon which is probably what first endeared me to her. I could not stand Simon and thought he was OTT mean in season 1. Anyone who stood up to him made me smile.

Oh I didn;t mind her standing up to him...I really liked her other comebacks...but you suck was just lame...

I love these interviews looking back to how they felt...love Rubens comment about being relieved Clay was gone. he knew talent...

  8. I actually quite moved by Ruben in this episode. I really loved him. End of this show...I was probably more a Ruben fan than Clay's. I do think clay going first also hurt him...followed by pretty forgettable people then Ruben and that little exchange with Simon and Kim...I can understand how he came in third.

But that is probably the last time he came in that position.

When it comes to inclusion...I think BAF simply wants that to be a possibility for all families with special needs children. I don;t think they are saying that every child should be mainstreamed. Whats important is for parents like me to have the option and that Caitlin will be able to go to camp like her sisters if she wants to and when she is ready.

Yep! I didn't really mean BAF, I was speaking more about training teachers to assist in classrooms so kids could be mainstreamed, just rambling, really, because it sounds like that is what jumpingjacks is doing.

In our school district, all kids are mainstreamed to the extent possible. Our severe/profound kids have access to the same services within the school as any other child. They are not shoved into another building across town and hidden from view, as was the experience when I first moved to this district....24 years ago.

My job is to advocate for the kids and parents. That means I do everything I can to keep them in the regular classroom with their peers. What is frustrating is teachers who refuse to follow a behavior plan that is created so that the kids can be successful in their neighborhood schools. I see it all.the.time. It seems we still have the perspective of "get them out" rather than "keep them in". It's a battle I'm fighting right now and it is truly exhausting. Luckily, I have the law on my side!

Oh I have a friend that needs an advocate like you. I send cait to the English school system and they have been mainstreaming children for a long time because they don;t have a school exclusively for special needs kids. So in Caits school everyone is very cooperative and the TAs are very experienced in handling children like my daughter. However...in the French school system, the situation is different. They do have a special needs school that gets most of the funding allocated for special needs children...so my friend that has a DS child thats Cait's age is having a harder time getting what she needs from the system. At first they strongly discouraged mainstreaming...now the problem is the teachers and the TA's just don;t know how to handle the kid. On one hand they want to see him acting like other kids...on the other they treat him like a baby without much limits and consequence.

  10. I don't click on tabloid sites either...but I didn;t mind those blurbs because to me they were kinda neutral. I always expect the worse from tabloids so I didn;t get peeved by this.

Well I'm not peeved either - it's more of the same old. I'm just participating in a conversation here. But neutral? They called him a Claymate involved in a girl fight. Not exactly neutral. Just because it isn't as disgusting as the 'normal' (ugh) swipes they take at him doesn't make it okay.

we all have our own filter and things that piss us off. Calling it a girly fight was not a big deal TO ME... not saying what others should feel just how I felt and why I didn't mind it that much.

  11. And personally, every time I read a post (usually elsewhere), where someone starts in with a litany of all of the things that THEY think Clay SHOULD have said, my eyes start to roll back in my head! Interviews are done "in the moment". I doubt that they told him in advance that they were going to ask him questions about the airplane incident and Ripa. While it's great that fans can come up with pithy answers to the questions after taking the time to think about and carefully craft them over time, Clay has a split-second to react. I think his decision to not even engage the idiot is wise....and HAWT!!

ETA: aikim, I hope you don't think I was singling you out. I have read many posts (most of them last evening) where the consensus seemed to be that the only reason he was "pissy" with the reporter was that he was tired and cranky. I didn't get that impression, I think he would have answered the same way even if he had come off of a great sleep. ((hugs))

Yup this is my pet peeve too. They are not Clay Aiken what do they know. Do they really think anything in their personal experience will make them more qualified to answer for Clay??? That is just a joke.

I don't click on tabloid sites either...but I didn;t mind those blurbs because to me they were kinda neutral. I always expect the worse from tabloids so I didn;t get peeved by this.

    djs :cryingwlaughter:

  12. I think its just interesting that the tabloids are picking it up with a tone of Clay being gutsy. I know tabloids are used to getting this kind of behavior from celebrities...but I think what makes it news worthy for them is that Clay was doing it to Newsweek not the enquirer.

I think for some Clay fans...they see him as a pet project to mold into a rock superstar...and so they have envisioned this marketing strategy that will transform the geeky country bumpkin to this sleek, sexy, sophisticated superstar. This marketing plan of course is complete with the way he should look, act, and how he should conduct himself in interviews so that the the right demographic will fall in love with him. However....Clay is not really cooperating with their master plan. Of course they are sure that Clay wants what they want too. So when he does not follow the script its either because he is too naive, and unsophisticated, or because he is listening to his mom too much or because someone (probably Clive or Roger) is sabotaging their ...oops ...his plans. I just love it when Clay proves to be his own person with his own timeline, career and personal goals and when he obviously follows his own instincts.

I happen to love the fact that Clay is always soooo real in interviews. He will not pretend to be cool, he will not pretend to be a long time fan of Monty Python if he was not...he will not pretend to love the play when he first saw it if he thought it was stupid. He has said this enough in a lot of interviews that think this is what he honestly thought when he saw it. I have to admit that when I first saw The Holy Grail...I didn't get it either. I was still very young (not sure if I was in College or High School at the time) and not used to watch British production so I could hardly understand the dialog and it seem like a huge pile of mess. Later on I watched it again from the very beginning, paying close attention to the words, I realized that it was supposed to be ridiculous. I loved it and ended up renting other Monty Python movies. I was never a huge Monty Python fan cos we didn't have it in the Philippines when I was growing up. Only saw bits of the show lately on you tube...so I totally understand Clay's reaction to Spamalot.

  13. OMG I love it...this is just the kind of thing that a promo like this needs. A feisty star that will make interesting reading and will make other news agency sit up and take notice...

YUP...that is why Clay is more a household name than most AI winners...

I don;t know if humorous, snarky answers would've made me sit up and admire Clay...cos that would seem like he was trying to be cutesy. This was direct no nonsense answers given by a person who knows what he is worth and won;t take crap from anyone.

who cares about the hater blogs...just makes people talk about him....

    controversy king indeed!!!!

  14. I looked up some of the past celebrity Q&A's the writer had done on the Newsweek website, and Clay's interview seemed to be very much in the same vein. It's just irreverent, pop culture fluff. If the Spamalot publicists and marketing people think Clay needs to reign it in in anyway, I think they'd let him know. Not that I'm a marketing guru, nor do a play one on TV...

    :wordpooper:

ahhh so this is the guys schtick....oh well...Clay handled him very well...

I doubt this interview will come as a surprise to anyone that knows Clay...this does not surprise me at all...just disappointed that this interviewer had to go there...

  15. yeah the interviewer was rude and its sad but I do believe the guy really feels like its part of his job...I think this is how low the media has gone...

I actually do hope that its part of their hard copy because I love how he answered and I bet that majority of the readers of newsweek are sick of the way the news magazine has turned tabloid. I bet he will gain a lot of respect from a lot of people.

  16. WOW ...this morning the boards were all quiet and I told ldyJ...all it would take is one article interview or blog to get the baords humming....and I was right!!!

    What an interview....I LOVE IT!!!!

and you know what....I think that interviewer came away respecting Clay....he could've written a hatchet job but instead he wrote down the interview showing Clay;s quick wit and how strong he was...and how rude the interviewer was...

EEEEEEEEEE!!!! new singing parts for Clay...I thought that would happen

    Love his response about Idol...

negative response...just part of the fandoms regular response....I bet its pretty easy to predict who didn't like the interview or who was worried about it. I don't pay attention to the negative anymore unless it really seem to be overwhelming like the response to the skating show.

I think a lot of the bitching and beating up of old horses happens when people need to post and nothing to post about. I think I rather have the board quiet down or talk about OT things than keep rehashing old issues.

Fake Hannah...I totally understand their explanation. Hannah is just a character she plays anyway and it is understandable to have a double play her for a minute as she transform to Miley since that is the premise of her TV show anyway...someone living a double life, its not like the double did a whole song or something.
