been wanting to try his restaurant for a while but thought it was out of my price range. Just read online they have a lunch buffet for $20.00 so maybe......
New episode of Top Chef tomorrow night with Natalie Portland. They way that Mike I was making goo-goo eyes at her in the preview was pretty hysterical.

I don't know I wasn't at the concert only watched them on YouTube & they were fun & uptempo (or may mid tempo) songs to me.
Anyway I'll drop that altogether but he can't get rid of me that easily.
Recently posted on twitter from a teenage fan from Indonesia (her friend she gave her Clay's Christmas cd)
What an angel's voice that you have, Clay. I can't take my eyes and ears off of you. I'm freezing when i see and listen to you.

Watching a Clay Aiken's Christmas again. What do you feel if you watch your idol with a big TV and listen to his voice with a big speaker
-
Until 2007 I never posted on any message boards. Until last year I didn't belong to the OfC so no I didn't know Clay always wanted to sing standards/classics/oldies whatever they are called.
I mostly just watched YouTube & his concerts were mostly upbeat fun songs.
Am I fan of classic songs like moon river? no not really although I thought Clay sang that beautifully.
I still love Clay & his voice not sure I like his music direction I guess. I really don't feel like I have to move on maybe I will like the music once it is realised. Would I buy anyone else's cd that was all classics? no. But, I am willing to try my best to like it because I really enjoy Clay's singing but it's still not my favorite kind of music.

Ok I signed up for the mailing list for the Pigs & Pinot event in Healdburg. It's in March. Looks rather pricey but I'm going to try to plan for it. Maybe some of the events aren't so bad...and it's only about 2 hours away so... and Kevin will be there. But I'm just intrigued by the entire event.
when you go
I want some recaps

Hey, what about some sympathy for me. I had to put up with her bitching all weekend. I think I deserve some hugs.

I met RocoDisparno (sp) Sunday at Foxwoods casino.
I asked him if he was going to be on Top Chef this season. He said you just keep watching. He was very sweet & even though his assistaant said no personal pictures he did let my grandma have her picture taken with him

Hm. Young, cute, male AI runner-up releases a pop first album and a Christmas follow-up. Wasn't that something Clay got soundly derided for? And now they're doing it to Archuleta... that makes sense. </sarcasm> Also... a Christmas album in mid-October? Is that a little early or is it just me?
Clay content: Clay Aiken has absolutely ruined anyone else singing Christmas music for me. I listened to the samples of DA singing and on every one that Clay has also sung, I was thinking the entire time that it was man vs. boy. Clay's voice is just so much richer... more powerful... and then on the songs that DA sang that Clay hasn't, I just kept wondering how they would sound if he did record them!
Jordan Sparks who is on the same label as DA is also making a Christmas CD
Carrie Underwood is going to have a Christmas special
Carrie Underwood: An All-Star Holiday Special" (working title) is set to premiere on Monday, December 7 at 8:00/7:00c on FOX with a rebroadcast also set for Tuesday, December 22 at 8:00/7:00c. The two-hour event will feature appearances by Dolly Parton, Brad Paisley and David Cook with additional performers to be announced.
Seems Clay was ahead of all of them!!

Thanks

I have about 20 old VHS tapes with Clay TV appearances recorded on them, from 2003 to 2006, and also about a dozen TV Guides and maybe 20 to 25 other magazines that have Clay mentions but do not have Clay on the cover or a major article about him. I received these as part of a deceased Clay fan's clack estate (she was a great grandma, BTW) which contained lots of nice things that I was able to find a home for, but these remaining things have been sitting in my back room for a couple of years now. Anyone want them?? Free for cost of postage. Otherwise, painful as it is for this pack rat, they're going into the trash.
I would be open to the VHS tapes, simply because there may be things on there that we don't have in the vaults? OR perhaps they might be a better version, if those vids in the vaults were captured off VHS too.
I will take them if you don't have any other takers.I have a machine that you can turn VH1 tapes into DVDS.
Just send me a pm of any info you need.
My niece & nephew are coming over this weekend so i will have them teach me all about the machine
Does this mean that both of you are interested in the VHS tapes, but not the magazines? Or tribeca, do you want the mags too?
Sorry Goldargirl i missed your post somehow.
I got all excited with seeing Clay & free stuff up there

Y'all be sure to check out the Saturday funnies--Adam.
Mehhh. Guess it's always gonna be like that. On the bright side, at least mom's got good taste!
clicked on the Adam link & dont' get it ????? I think I comic may have changed or something
Daughter loves the Jonas Brothers, Mom loves Clay Aiken, and Adam is obviously JEALOUS!Jonas Brothers are having 3 concerts here in Oct. Have been trying to win tickets (on Ebay) for an early Christmas present for the little girl I nannied for. I won one set then the person stopped the auction & said never mind I am going to the concert.
Did however win a Clay Aiken AI card for Jesse.
Hell, there were times even I wore earplugs during Clay concerts -- mostly when others were singing -- but I really don't miss the screaming crowds at all. I love the intimacy of the theaters and the respect shown his voice at orchestra performances....indoor and outdoor. Love him with a band too but can live without the screams.I wasn't physically at those concerts but can say that watching the clips on computer the screams actually added a lot of excitement especially for certain songs (ISY for one). It just added excitement JMHO.
OMG WTF is Lamar Odom doing. Sign number one that the Lakers will not repeat as champs. At least he's smart enough to get a pre-nup for this sham of a marriage.heee Liney..... IIT...that brought back memories.
Comic is funny. Of course if Clay were just coming off idol now we'd be cougars. LOL.
Tribeca..I remember the reports and lots of people loved the show. The best thing about that trip other than seeing Clay was eating chinese food with Scarlett in the hotel room :cryingwlaughter:
Yay this is the first weekend in a long time where I only have to work a teeeny bit.
Thanks
Well seems everyone loves eating out with Scarlett!!!

I think when Clay first came off Idol we were cubs

What a nice picture of Clay
he is a cutie isn't he?
(I am stating the obvious again)
Did the people who went to David & friends show last time enjoy it?
don't think it is coming anywhere near me but I would love to see Ruben again.

There are also some wonderful lesbian themed movies out there that aren't on that list....
Why doesn't that surprise me? Would you list some of them? I'd like to know about them.
Personal Best (one of the first, so it's dated now but still good)
Better Than Chocolate
Boys On The Side
Boys Don't Cry
If These Walls Could Talk 2
Imagine Me and You
D.E.B.S.
Lost and Delirious
Chutney Popcorn
But I'm A Cheerleader
I'm sure there are a lot more but these are just off the top of our heads (me & luckiestdaughter)
ETA: Here is Amazon's top ten list
i meet the people who had part of that movie filmed at their house on a cruise I went on. She was very sweet & told me about the movie & said I should rent it. Her husband works at NYU and they were absolutely adorable & hysterical couple.

Kim Happy Anniversary
Anyone watching Mariah Carey on Oprah. The two fans who got to meet her were so funny & cute. She did sing I Want to know what love is which I also heard on the radio last night.
Still like Clay's version & it's not even one of my favorite songs from him.
#56: Clay's going to sing. Life is good.
