  1. GAH! That is one of my top-5 favorite pictures of Clay EVER. Love.love.love. And throw in some lust.lust.lust. Is it okay to "quote" a photo, or should I put it in my photobucket first. I know nada about posting of photos etiquette. But, oh my, I could just not resist posting this again! Where was this taken. He is absolutely stunning in this photo.
  2. Those photos of Clay looking ...longingly...at Tyra just take my breath away. Sexiest. photos. evah. I'm toast.
  3. [Ruminating] I've been reading here with great interest the reactions to the dramatic outcry to the "Never-a-Tour" announcement by Kim. I'm something of an anxious fan myself and can relate to a lot of their feelings but not necessarily their actions. I tend to "ruminate" quietly on things that make me anxious and don't much express my fears about Clay's career openly on the boards. I don't like to be a buzz kill so I stifle myself. Some people suffer silently and some emote openly. It's a diverse world out there. I worry about Clay's career, because I am afraid that maybe in the not so distant future, we won't "have" him entertaining us. His ticket sales seem to be dropping off with each tour. Who knows how the next CD will sell. We have the swamp dwellers to thank for most of that mess. In some ways, I do think Clay is happy with the way things are in his career. He seems so comfortable with his fans now, and I don't think that's just as a result of the medication. But I do think he was unhappy about the last CD. He didn't want to do covers and that makes me sad for him. I think he does want to maintain a high profile, because, really, what would he do now if his singing and entertaining career came to an end. That's why I think he is looking for other opportunities to branch out into the talk show stuff. I think maybe some fans do want him to be "cool" because to them, "cool" means career longevity. I want career longevity for him to, but I don't want to see him wind up in Branson, at least not for another 40 years, and I will probably be dead by then so I won't care! *g* I abolutely do think a lot of reaction to Kim's Billboard blurb was a major overreaction. And I'm glad I was at working and not able to see the reaction to the first blog. When I did sneak a peek at the boards, I saw that there was a blog and that Clay didn't mention anything. I laughed at first because I thought that was funny, and then I thought maybe he didn't even know what was going down. It does kill me that some of the most vociferous of the "unconditional" fans seemed to be the first ones who wanted to throw him overboard! I actually felt like going back to that "unconditional" thread and reposting some of the posts along side of the current posts. It would look something like this: Unconditional thread: Iloveclaysnosehair: Clay, you are a treasure and I will never turn my back on you. I will always be your fan, forever and a day! :F_05BL17blowkiss: "Reunion Tour" thread: Iloveclaysnosehair: Clay, you can just forget about sharing any of my hard-earned cash with Studdard and Locke! What are your trying to pull over on us? How could you do this to meeeeeeeeeee!!!!! :angry22: Yes, Clay absolutely has an OTT, overly-invested internet fan base. But it's those same overly invested OTT fans who voted their fingers off when he was on AI, who have bought the major portion of the 5 million or whatever in cd sales, the $30 million in concert tickets, and raised the hundreds of thousands of dollars, if not millions, in support of his charitable endeavors. I am one of them. They are me. I am proud to be an overly-invested Clay Aiken fan, [small voice] even if they embarrass me sometimes.[/sv] I want Clay to be a major star because I want everyone to see what I see in this wonderful, gifted man. I want to share him. But more than that, I want him to have the career he wants to have. I don't get to tell him what that is, and nor should I. I just hope he's going to be around for a long, long time. The fandom wears an ugly face sometimes, but it's the same fandom that has sustained Clay's career. [/end ruminating]
  4. Couchie, what was the reaction to the NJU to Clay? I read that the two producers, Mark Burnett and another one, enthusiastically greeted Clay afterwards. Did you see this and could you overhear anything? I guess Clay is the very first celebrity that has ever been taped for this show? I've never watched the show because I don't like Foxworthy.
  5. I am so impressed by Boyfriend. Congratulations, Clay!
  6. So...how long would Couchie's flight home be? It's a good thing I was so busy at work today and not biting my nails, rending my garments and gnashing my teeth at home by the the computer. I don't know what I would have done. :704::kos: :bigemo_harabe_net-24: :
  7. Maybe you could just attach a cable to your brain and upload your observations straight into the computer. MST3K? Loved it. Best. show. ever. I can't believe that it isn't on tv anymore. Wow, you people are real post hootchies here. I can't keep up. Type slower.
  8. My absolute favorite song of the whole concert! The Columbus reviewer loved it too! -- OMG, did he actually go barefoot for the whole show? :lmaosmiley-1: Love that group photo, especially where Clay's hands are. Did you also notice his hands in the DF gala photo posted upthread? Honestly, someone should do an album of Clay's hands touching various spots of female anatomy. (Except the Mezhgan photo...don't want to go down that road again!)
  9. I just want to go on record and say that I once broke bread with members of the eHP...and survived! It was actually one of the most delightful experiences that I have ever had in the fandom. It happened just last winter, before Clay's Long Island concert. It just goes to show you that you shouldn't believe everything bad you hear about people on the Internet! Of course, I'm from Brooklyn, so they must have been skeered of me, even though I left my gun at home that night.
  10. So is anyone twitching, pacing the floor, or suffering any other symptoms of tour withdrawal? Just me? I might have to take up some bad habits to distract myself. :all_coholic:
  11. Hi everyone! I haven't visited here in ages, but I just got a new laptop, so I can get around the Internet a lot faster than I used to. So I hope to be more active here. Wasn't the tour great? I have to admit I was disappointed when I heard the cellcert of the very first night in Frisco, but then Clay did what he always does and this tour now ranks up there with my favorites. He was in great voice and he is just so witty and funny and dadgum entertaining. I love the comfort level he's attained with the fans, as evidenced by the new m&g format. The reviews were pretty good, too, save one glaring exception. Thank God (and Goddesses) for Clack! I could only go to one show this tour, but I feel like I've been to all of them! Sorry I couldn't meet more or you.
  12. Hi all! Heh. Craziest thing I did for Clay had to be the three-hour trip I took at night through the Pocono Mountains in Pennsylvania...through a freaking blizzard!!! I had decided a few days beforehand that I wanted to go to the Wilkes-Barre IT concert very badly. I asked RunningFree if she would like to go and she said yes. Now mind you, I always check weather reports when I am driving any long distances, especially if I am driving through mountains in winter! For some reason, I totally forgot to check the weather reports. I think subconsciously I just didn't want anything to stop me. Because if I had any idea that there was going to be a blizzard that night I would have not gone, and then I would have missed one of the most memorable moments ever when Clay got misty-eyed when we sang MoaM. Did I mention that I drove through a freaking blizzard? Though the very dark Pocono Mountains? It did stop when I passed the mountains, but then there was rain. And fog. And more rain. And then sleet. I was so happy when I finally got home at 2:00 a.m. Of course, having dinner with the eHP in Long Island was kinda crazy too...
  13. Don't bother checking, couchie, it's not just invision. I even get it at msn.com, among loads of other sites. I've been using mozilla all afternoon and evening and it's fine.
  14. Thanks for the advice about the browser. I'm trying this on Mozilla right now and there are no error messages!
