  1. I haven't seen any chatter about "emotionally threadbare" on any other board. I've only read people getting chills, wow, great writeup, and so on. It didn't even occur to me that it could be taken as less than complimentary, but I can see how it is a kind of strange phrase now that someone mentioned it. I just read it as, not overly dramatic/bombastic; just a simple story of the journey we all take growing up, something to which we can all relate, with the showcase in the telling (vocals). FINALLY got my pre-order done. iTunes decided to do maintenance on me last night and I kept getting Store Errors. Baaad timing people. LOL! I don't know nuthin' about any Muppet song. I don't get the Kimmel thing either, 'specially since May is sweeps month. I'm guessing/hoping there is a later promotional cycle for the CD that we don't know about yet. I'm not worried about it tho. Except I want Clay to sing. So the first time we get to hear/see him sing is April 28th on QVC, right?
  2. Well, I got to the page at least, but I still can't pre-order. Here's what it looks like: If you click Pop under Genres, the rotating banner eventually shows Clay's loverly face and a pre-order banner. Click that and you get this page ^^. I still can't order tho. Frigging Errors.
  3. I guess the iTunes pre-order thing works. Not for me, but some people see it. I'm still trying to figure out how to load the Pre-orders page. The Bonus Track is called It's in Everyone of Us. Heh. Supposedly on the main iTunes page, the box on the right is supposed to rotate to PreOrder... I'm still waiting. Ok, I got the pre-orders page... but no Clay for me yet! Wah. eta... well crap, now it comes up, but it has an error when I try to pre-order! Heh, we crashed iTunes.
  4. Hee. I totally know how this feels. We saw him walking down 5th Ave by Central Park. I swear I wasn't looking at people at all and I just happened to look up and Jerome walks by. It was weird. LOL, so I know EXACTLY what you mean. So does bottle. Hee. Glad you had fun! Can't wait to hear about it!
  5. BWAH... Hee, Chach! Butt Squeezes - $50. Hey, he offered! LOL! Bummer! I forgot to buy any of the merchandise while I was there. Oh well. I'm over it. I only brought the BC/EFA link in case anyone was interested in another option to donate IF they wanted it. I don't know why anyone would feel guilt simply knowing opportunities to donate/support a cause existed in the world. As it should be, of course, but I don't think anyone's "telling" you to. Simply providing an awareness of a need. I don't expect anyone to give to any charity ever, but if I can provide information about one that you might find interesting, I don't see the harm. When it gets pushy or overly repetitive, I agree, it can be annoying, which means you won't have to worry about me mentioning it again. Just click anywhere on the video screen, Iseeme. It should open another window, and then you have to click the "Play" button. It takes a few seconds to start from there.
  6. That's funny, cuz I was gonna post this link earlier, but I forgot to press Add Reply. Heh. I hope most of the donations are being handled at the show or mailed to Jerome, cuz this is pretty paltry for the ClayNation so far: Spamalot Easter Bonnet Competition Donation Page - Broadway Cares/Equity Fights Aids Checks can be made to Broadway Cares and sent to: Jerome Bell, Sam S. Shubert Theatre, 225 West 44th Street, New York, NY 10036 laljeterfan... those pics and that story is so cool! Congrats on holding Clay's chicken! Awesome idea going to the Easter Bonnet thing, couchie... and thanks for the NYC Pass link. Good idea! Ooooo... pretty single CD case thingy! Oh God... I have all the others, should I bid on this too. I guess Italy is right out! Hee, Gibby. If anyone happened to have an extra cast-autographed Playbill, or could pick me up one, I'd be tha-rilled and very grateful.
  7. Bwah. Diane and Max's scene was hilarious! LOL! I am so sick of Jason and Elizabeth. Just make up your fricking minds already. The tortured routine is getting realllllly old. And yes, I'm tired of Lulu too. So, did she just can LittleScotty's career? LOL! What is he gonna do now, turn into some apple-eating bad guy? I don't even know what to say about Michael. Claudia/OldCarly has much better control of her flaring nostrils tho. Hee. And nobody does sad better than NewestCarly. Patrick is really kinda growing on me. Heh. And Lucky actually looked kinda cute in his full beard thing he had going on. Nicolas and that cross-eyed girl are NOT going to fall in love are they? Oh, and Dr.IanAsshole. Gee, how did I know he'd turn out to be the biggest ass in the land. I still can't figure out how Jerry/Mr.Craig got away with all his shit when Emily is dead and he can't hold anything over her anymore. WTF? And why does Spinelli keep forgetting to investigate Epiphany's son's death. Hello? If he did, he might find out the whole Moreau thing. The writing really sucks sometime on this show. Soaps.... crazy. /still addicted
  8. Cool recap, jamar. I love the Sphere picture. I've never seen it before. My sister stayed at that hotel a few weeks ago and loved it... good location downtown. I think we probably sat very near each other Saturday night. Sorry to have missed meeting you. I listened to LAA a bunch yesterday -- I don't think the ringtone/snippet version is any different than the original... kinda hard to tell with such a low quality version, but it seemed the same to me. Walmart has some snippets posted, including Grace of God, but I can't make them play. Can anyone else? http://www.walmart.com/catalog/catalog.gsp...=61&sdir=xx Click Quick View under the album cover. What's a NYC Pass?
  9. YES... he said in the USA Weekend blog interview (heh, the "cranky" one - Hee!), "He was reluctant to pick a favorite or signature song from this album but eventually said the song Something About Us could be it." Squee. Thanks for remembering that. Yes, mostly the snips/ringtones are the same, except the EIDN has an extra little part to it. luckiest1 posted which part that was upthread a bit. I must say, I am tha-rilled that there are some "rockin'" songs on the CD. I know people get confused and think people like me mean Top40 when we say that, but I sure don't - never have. I just want something he/I can jump around to, an uptempo beat to it. That's all I've ever meant by it. And I think most people who say "rockin'" songs mean the same thing. A BFM or Invisible vibe, vs. a LAA vibe. I'm thrilled we/he gets a mix of tempos, and lookie me, already liking the sloooowwww one.
  10. I think that's the main reason OMWH is the first single. Because it's tied to red-hot-right-now Ryan Tedder. They even made sure we knew in the video that Ryan Tedder wrote the song by showing the lyrics. I think we'll see many, many (subtle, and not so subtle) references to Ryan Tedder along the way. I love Something About Us. It's not uptempo or anything, just smooth and jazzy sounding. Ya'll can have LAA, I'm SAU's beyotch! Can't wait for this CD. I think I love it all. And I agree...every one of these songs could stand on it's own. May we have multiple singles. Amen.
  11. New link for whoever still needs it: http://download.yousendit.com/E01AEA2F31A17E09 The Real Me is gonna be sad. Something About Us sounds purdy! I love that one. LAA sounds like it may have been re-recorded. Falling sounds cool... this neverendingdream won't let me go... EIDN is definitely the "that's Clay Aiken?" song Hee, I like them all! I wish we had Grace of God too... cuz i'm greedy! I can't get the Fido thing to play.
  12. Allright, you broads (I'm lookin' at you chach and KarenEh!) have been holding out on us. ::sniff:: Stick Figure Spamalot is the cutest thing! Go here, and click on the Stick Figure Spamalot links. http://lbfca.diaryland.com/older.html
  13. Hee... well, yeah, that's what's supposed to happen. Otherwise, we'd all be talking to the wall. But yes, go stand in the corner for your forty lashes! :thdom2: OMWH. I didn't even like it all that much when I first listened to it. That's just my personality. I usually don't. Because I have performance anxiety or something. I downplay every.thing on the first time. (Just ask my boyfriends! Heh! Yeah, it was a'ight! )... but then, later... I go... ohhhh, wow! Especially if there are visual aids. Me likey visual aids! It helps with the digestion. So.... I guess that's what you can predict from me. Clay's supposed to text us and tell us what songs we picked (or the top one or something) too. I better charge my phone!
  14. K is on a roll! God help me, I just had a horrifying picture of Mr. Rogers gettin' jiggy wit it. Humans build up excitement which is then either exceeded, met, or falls to disappointment. It's not like it's some big sekrit. What are we supposed to be, rocks? I don't think it has anything to do with being "enough". It's just that people have preferences in life. If someone goes on vacation and the resort serves a prize-winning specialty chocolate cake for dessert and you just don't happen to like chocolate cake, saying so isn't a reflection on how much work the resort put into making your vacation speshul, it's just a statement of preference over a dessert. Not a judgement on their performance. It's not like they said, if they serve chocolate cake on that cruise I'm never going again; more like I won't have the dessert. And well, this is a message board, so it's kinda like "well, you asked". If I can't put my thoughts in print, what else am I supposed to do... ya know? Perma, I'd have to agree with you about Clive. Big labels forgot to get on the leading edge. The reason Microsoft/Apple/HP, etc., make it is because they constantly retool to the consumer needs (or at least make us think we want what they are offering -- or trap us into needing it. LOL!). R&D vs. OMG, I can make money off THAT! Big music labels stayed status quo for too long -- trying to live in the early glut of success and forgetting to grow along with the rest of us. I do think Clive is a legend... who outlived (metaphorically) his success. Peter Principle and all that. He was brilliant in his day tho. Until he became more about the business than the art -- but... such is the potential pitfall of corporate greed. I give Clay (and everyone else who worked under Clive) great kudos for knowing how to play within the confines of the dynasty. You can either find a way to make it work and learn all you can with great personal reward, or you can fight it, get nowhere, and become bitter. IMHO. Everyone comes at this stuff differently. I do enjoy the Lefsetz Letters, but they're just his take. Just like all those Mobster Mafia books on the music business written by pissed off former employees. They just come off to me like the guy with a gun in the post office. Meh. Clay's got a better spirit about him than that. I believe. I've never been to a CD Release Party. I prefer to experience my first night in private. Happy Anniversary, LadyJ!!
  15. No worries. I've played that Amazon clip ON Amazon at least 300 times today. No monkey. Oooo, I see couchie's inviting people to my house again!
  16. I got nothin' except I have to say, your avatar is delectable. Seriously. It looks like a movie. A really, really good movie. Hee. I would LMAO if they are giving us the TITN video. Considering "they" already did. LOL! I agree with you mostly, but I think Elliot Yamin put out like 7 bonus tunes or something when he released his last (only?) CD. It's not unheard of. Ok, I just Googled... If you go to his Wikipedia page it shows 11 album cuts and 12 bonus songs offered through various outlets. Crazy. Oh Lordy... the downloaded Amazon video is really good! I expected it to be grainy when made bigger, but nooooo. *ogles*
  17. Someone needs to slow this bus down, yo!! Clay doesn't have an hour... just the first half hour. Show description on QVC site From clayniac24 at the CB...via XYZ via LMNOP re: ordering the bonus stuff: Bwah, they might run out... hahahah... wait.... *panics* That ClearChannel shit doesn't work for me no matter what I do. Someone give a few extra clicks for me. Please. Clive who?
  18. It was the hair - looked AWFUL!!! AND HE WORE THOSE GOD AWFUL AMA GLASSES!!!!!!! Hmpfh! We are no longer twins! I love his adorable morning alfalfa hair, those stylin' VFC/AMA glasses, this sweater. He's so cute!
  19. He looks beautimous. Spotlighted dents. Yay! Pretty smiles. Yay! Wispy strands of hair on his face. Yay! Singing, singing, singing. Kipper's even singing along. Hee. I like the song more now. Heh. I'm most definitely the visual type.
  20. Of course he's singing. He's got an album to promote. footsie, I have that picture in Hi-Res: It's a really big 3.7MB file, so it might take a few clicks to see it full-sized:
  21. Please take our dirty money, launder it, take your cut, and send us the clean rest, thankyouverymuch. I give it a Forget that dude in Simon's chair.
