  1. They have no idea, do they? But they're finding out. LOL! More on tonight from dksfriend at CV:
  2. Silly girl, he already recorded that. Do you not have it?!? Ohhhhh, maybe you meant live!! Duh! OMG, YES!! I wouldn't mind You Don't Know Me either.
  3. LOL! I was just deleting mine... glad I previewed! Seriously, I love this song!! Socially conscious lyrics, faith holding out hope for the world... GAH! LOVE! I can't wait. Some background on Don Mescall:
  4. Oooo.... POSSIBLE SONG SPOILER: What song is he talking about? Oh, I love it!! Lyrics (as whited out as I can make them): GRACE OF GOD (Don Mescall & Mads Hauge) Some folks always get the rough ride Seem they end up on the wrong side Constant battle just to survive on any given day I watched a mother on my TV Hungry children that she can’t feed Still I’ve got everything that I need And that just don’t seem right That I sleep safe tonight There’s got to be some rhyme or reason why We turn away and we close our eyes If I could find some way that we could justify all of this suffering There but for the grace of God go I Mother Earth is down on her knees Poison rivers run to dead seas Cities eating up the green fields We never question why How truth turns into lies There’s got to be some rhyme or reason why We turn away and we close our eyes If I could find some way that we could justify all of this suffering There but for the grace of God go I Sometimes it’s hard to believe In a truth that you can’t even see But faith holds the hope for the world And I know, I know There’s got to be some rhyme or reason why We turn away and we close our eyes If I could find some way that we could justify all of this suffering There but for the grace of God go I When I’m thinking it’s a bad day Feels like nothing’s going my way I pass a wreck out on the freeway And I pray that they survived There but for the grace of God go I
  5. Bwah, hilarious! Congrats on your speshul super-private rendezvous with the Knights in not-so-shining armour, Scarlett! I can't believe I missed seeing you up there by one night! It was pretty great to see you again while I was there tho! It's awesome that Spamalot's doing the pictures, and whatever other surprise things at the show these next two weeks, to step up their fundraising efforts for this competition. There's some historical data re: the Easter Bonnet Competition from previous years that kmh135 gathered, here on gca. From it... I think that's a statistic that is about to change! I would absolutely love to have a cast-signed poster or playbill. Some lucky and persistent people got their playbills signed by all the main cast members by standing at the stage door a couple of times. I only got two - Clay and Tom. I'm not so good at asking for autographs. It was fun to just stick my arm out and see what I got tho. Here's that picture from last night. God, it's CUTE. It's like being in Lancelot and Herbert's wedding pictures! They shoulda charged more! ducky, I think you probably sat very close to laughn and I Saturday night. From moonhead at the CH: So, how many exclusive bonus tracks are there going to be? Or are they all the same? I guess if I'm gonna buy seven copies anyway (heh), seven unique bonus items is a plus. I don't want it to be May 6th yet, but I do. Know what I mean?

    Hey! I heard that.
  8. No, I'm way behind again. I'll catch up this week. Lulu was already beginning to bug me tho.
  9. Can someone please tell me the phone numbers to vote? I can't believe I have to ask this and can't find it on the damn internets. Please. DavidC specifically. Never mind. I grew a brain.
  10. Well, the good or bad news is it'll only last through the end of April. The Easter Bonnet competition is only in the month of April. A polaroid AND autograph with Tom, Rick, AND Clay is so cool! ooo, tops!
  11. Oh, you people are so lucky. I had a three page post all ready to go, complete with quotes and commentary and all sorts of crap and I accidentally closed my browser! Argh!!! In short. KeepingFaith, I wanna meet you someday. KAndre, you funny. All of you, I'm not embarrassed to be a Clay fan. LOL! TShirts look like shit on me. My CA hat is very niiiice tho and I wear it whenever I drive with the top down. I just don't like bringing attention to mahself, which is why I'm still totally fucking embarrassed about that earlier post, and I hate the attention it brought me, but I love the love, so thanks... heh. Yikes! Menopause is a bitch, yo. But I love being a spectator for all kinds of fan business... Paint your body, jump up and down, scream like a banshee, wear a thousand pins and shirts and earrings and shave Clay Aiken into your scalp... it's all good. I do draw the line at the guy who puked on my back at Candlestick tho. Dude, that was just a little OTT, ya know? And a welcome to Footloose, who is a treasure, ya'll. And Clay... OMG, he's so cuuuuuute, and his feet are so biiiiiiiiiiiig! Hee. God love that boy. And um, lessee, Tom Deckman and Rick Holmes are the funniest people on the face of the earth. I am not kidding. So hilariously funny it hurts to laugh that much. I thoroughly enjoyed Spamalot... but truly, I preferred the seats a few rows back. And I missed the robot dancing... I don't know how. Perhaps because SOMEone trained me to look at Clay's CROTCH during that scene! WTH?! You people are a bad influence. Heh. Oh, and getclayaiken.com is the artist formerly known as WMS. I had to think of a new domain name on short notice when we left ezCrap and wouldn't you know it, Weapons of Mass Seduction was already taken!! Shock! And WHA??? Jamar was in NYC and we missed her?!? *pout* Can you imagine how rip-roaring funny it would be to have dinner with the Spamalot cast?! Chach, that page you did with all the ways to check out OMWH is awesome! Thanks! Oh, look... Have fun, annabear! Oh, I remember this was in it too. Ok, I have to go pay the IRS some loot now. Like I have any left. Oy.
  12. In case anyone didn't know it.... Clay Aiken is... Cuuuuuuute!!! Off to fly home.
  13. Oh, I get it. You sent bottlecap to turn me into someone actually not-so-bitchy. Heh. It might be working. Heh. No need to pay for me, darlin.' I'll go freely. :F_05BL17blowkiss: Yeah, shaddup.
  14. ok, then. Bitter comes in all forms. Just sayin'. I think I just figured out how unwelcome I am here. One thing I don't understand is how if ya'll hate it elsewhere why do you go over there and then run home to complain about the rest of us? That's rhetorical of course, cuz I won't be back to read your answers.
  15. Heelarious. I like the RBC Center Was Stolen article too! LOL! Happy April Fools!
  16. Did you girls go to the stage door?? From CV: I guess no barricades either. {{KF}}...hang in there!!
  17. Aww, couchie. This is bittersweet, huh? This is good for your mom for awhile at least. Maybe it will give her a lift and when she returns she won't need to be taking so many emergency trips. You'll be lonely a bit, but hopefully it'll be worth it. And like I said, your sister and mom can bond a bit, even if it's in a small space. You can let that happen while you go on a little vacation. If nothing else everyone will sure appreciate you when you get back. Hee.
  18. of Chris Cornell's, IMO... if you love you some screamin' guitar bluesy shit...and do I ever! David kicked it too. I loved it. A lot! He's my fave on the show, then Chikezie. I tune in on purpose to see what they do. The others, sometimes I like 'em; sometimes I don't. Don't worry if I miss their performances tho.
  19. Hi LMF!! Thanks for chiming in! Hee. You're probably right! Mandy, yikes! I'm not picky about covers/not covers, but I do like to ponder if/how the music industry determines one is or isn't. Sounds like their line moves to suit whatever project they're talking about. *pets Alone* I'll admit to not loving some of ATDW, but that's true of any album by any artist. I also LOVE some of it, and after seeing some of the live versions, I love some of what I didn't before. I don't tie any fan-generated label drama to any album/song, so it has nothing to do with any of that; just personal preference. My faves from ATDW continue to be BW, LNM, and TOA. LAA is growing on me, which I only found out last night when I was singing along thinking, oooo, I like this one, and then realized what it was. I can listen to some of the songs I don't like as much and still find things to love. That's just cuz it's Clay tho. Seriously, the song about mice... can't listen at all. BUT, if I was stuck on a deserted island and it was all I had, I'm sure I'd listen and oo and ah. Hee. I begrudgingly like BYLM now and I hated it before... so live Clay saved that one for me. I also like to listen to other people sing other people's songs, so listening to the demos sung by other singers is ok by me. I never really think... ooo, this is XYZ's song. I can like Prince's WDC and Clay's on totally seperate levels. And KC's and Clay's Solitaire too. Clay singing Solitaire will never remind me of my childhood kitchen with the clack-clack curtains, so he can't really "own" the song to me. It's MINE. Hee. Claygasm, have you ever been to Better Burger? I'm thinking of going there instead of Juniors because they have vegetarian items and an organic bent. It's on 9th and 46th. Oh yum! We'll skip the ham part tho. Heh.
  20. Twin, those pictures of GreenSweater!Clay! are adorable. He does look like a little baby! A cute baby!! I thought he looked extra adorable in that sweater! Liney! Good job on the arrows! Hee. I didn't find the errant extra Clay Double in the picture, someone at Clayversity saw it I think. I just noticed them talking about it so I went and looked and there it was... kewpie-headed Clay. LOL! I wonder if this is just a mock-up cover. Or if there's a sekrit meaning. Ooo. I think songs that are not distributed in a mass market can be considered originals, or at least not covers. Clay seemed pretty hesitant with saying they are "originals" but remember he said they hadn't been heard by 95% (or whatever number he used) of the people. That sort of makes them not covers. The mainstream has never heard them. Not sure if there's a magic number or what? Maybe Lightmyfire, who I see lurking :F_05BL17blowkiss: has a better answer.
  21. Does anyone see the "ghost" looking over Clay's shoulder in the Hi Res picture? What IS that? Look closely -- there's a forehead and some hair... or is it just an illusion? Maybe it's younger Clay on his way "here".
  22. Don't be dissin' on the Green Sweater. It got laughn through some very difficult times! Apparently. jmh123... I have eyes in the back of my head. Hee. Does anyone know how to convert .mov to .wmv or .avi?
