  1. Heinz, here is a 4Shared link. ETA: Apparantly, this is Natalie Grant's The Real Me: The Real Me on YouTube - Natalie Grant Live And a version of
  2. Biggie-sized... ETA: MsMarmalade found this on the RCA Music Group Press Site: http://www.rcamusicgrouppress.com/content/...My_Way_Here.doc
  3. Page 50 (People Magazine - 2003): A few from the NAT tourbook: All clickable of course.
  4. I fucking love that picture.... but I like the green sweater too, so maybe my taste is impaired! Ogden's definitely done pictures of Clay before... some nice ones as I recall. From hosaa at CV Oh, yay. *lights candles for a tourbook*
  5. Allow me... From this mag: Came: and best of all... unless you're bottlecap, in which case, that last one was probably the best of all... LOL! It's hilarious now, but then... that was my first favorite picture! I distinctly remember pulling into a 7-11 at midnite on the way home from the San Jose AI concert to get me a bunch of these magazines. Hee.
  6. Yep... that Terrence Howard! Can you imagine him and James Earl Jones bellowing a story on stage? Love it! And yes, David Morse is the guy from St. Elsewhere...and elsewhere (Contact, Hack, 12 Monkeys, Green Mile). Love him!!! I forgot the show was ending it's run tho, thanks for the reminder, ivy. I wanted to get his autograph, darnit. KAndre... bwah! When I have about 100 hours to kill, I'll go look through my posts. I know I've changed the way I express my fandom over the years, cuz I started on PG-13 TTC... and now I'm feelin' a little less like my corsett is tied too tight, if ya know what I mean. Now I'm the board ho'iest ho that ever ho'd. And nobody ever gave me $5,000 for it either. bottle... in gratitude for reminding me of KarenEh!'s blog link... Hee, liney... my mom (YSRNorElse) made that Clay-to-bunny animation. I've never seen anyone else post it. Cool!! The funny thing is it was a Halloween .gif/joke. On WMS, we used to joke years ago that Clay was like the killer bunny (Monty Python ref for sure). We'd all need protection from him and his weapons (of mass seduction). Ya kinda had to be there cuz that makes absolutely no sense right now, but funny how stuff like that comes around again. LOL! Happy Easter, Peeps!
  7. Cat on a Hot Tin Roof - James Earl Jones, Philicia Rashad, Terrence Howard. Or November with Nathan Lane and Laurie Metcalf. Or the one David Morse is in. I love him. The Seafarer. I'm lookin' at those. Here are all the shows: http://www.broadway.com/gen/concierge.aspx
  8. Oh hell yes, that would be GREAT! It reminds me of the old Ned, Lois Label dealy place with Brenda working there. I think. Heh. REmember that? C'mon, GH, get some storylines! Add some depth to folks. They have a lot of work to do... They are missing so much right now cuz all the families are broken so they have nothing to go with except the mob shit. Why did they taunt us with Brenda in the Night Shift and then not do anythign with it? Why do they totally skip over things and jump to a next scene on some stuff and other stuff drags out for.ever. Oh, and I hate Logan. Annoying as hell. Bring back Lucy and Doc. And give Scott an apple. Heh. Bwah, Alexis and WhatsHerFace are hilarious!! (hee, nobody can remember her name!) And she totally has to do Max. That shit's funny too. Ok, I'm going to bed.
  9. I totally thought Carly was going to die the other day. Because of all the Jason flashing back. She's gonna remember that. And then leave Jax. They are so boring together. Jax needs to get back to some jetsetting or something because he is dull, dull, DULL! I don't get how they are letting Jerry Jax be such an asshole. And that doctor guy/Moreau skeeves me out! Sonny went off his rocker for sure... reign him in writers... it's so STOOPID. And I dunno about Johnny. He's a little psycho, isn't he? I thought maybe he'd be normal for a minute. The CH writers manage to get me sucked into these bad characters tho.. WTF? I am SO FUCKING SICK of Nicholas and Emily and that damn drama. And I'm still pissed that Nadine was rescued from the bottom of an elevator shaft and they gave it absolutely NO airtime. Did she get fired or something. What the hell was that? LOVE Spinelli and Maxie. Did you see the cute little aftershow things with Spinelli? He was actually kinda cute! Except Spinelli knew about the Text Message Killer's bomb's didn't he? He's the one who set them off after all!! WTF? The leave a lot of loose ends lately, that never get tied up. He's flitting all over the place. Someday he's gonna have to tie in Epiphany's son's death with Jerry. But he's taking his sweet time. And yeah, Patrick and Robin are kinda cute right now. Finally she admitted to being a little hypocrite. Thank God, because I was about to murder her myself. LOL! I know... come on, just let one family have a normal life and an actual kid. We need someone besides Elizabeth's children for the future! Ruh-roh about Monica. The Quartermaine's don't have much left do they? And your girl, Kate, better get her chutzpah back... what the hell? I was just beginning to like her. We don't know what lurks below the surface with her history yet tho, so hopefully something interesting ... unless they Kill Sonny!! May sweeps are coming up so everything will be prepping for that. Of course I never read spoilers - I like to guess. I even shield my eyes from the soap opera digest in the grocery store. I hate knowing ANYthing about casting in advance. And of course, Rick and his girlfriend are going to be haunted by the dead guy in the water thing. Trevor is the biggest piece of shit in the world. And his nose is really bad! And yes, I haaaaaaaaate Sam. Heh, I think that about covers it! Hee!!
  10. Heh, I'm all caught up! Took me long enough. Are you?
  11. That's kind of hot, actually. Hmmmm. Extremely! *opens Photoshop* Kisses couchie back... *ahem*
  12. Shall I assume that wandacleo finally saw the cd cover? Heh. I wonder if she likes it or hates it? LOL! Personally... Holy Mother of GOD!
  13. Hee, I did a lot of catching up last night, but I'm only at the part where Alcazar came back and is trying to kill Sam. ::eyeroll:: WTF? I missed a couple years and don't even know how/why Jason supposedly killed him but it's confusing the shit out of me so far. So, right now Sonny is being an out of control act before you think (duh!) wacko... it IS kinda annoying. Heh. Michael just called Carly1, so I'm wondering how he's gonna get out of that mess. It's very odd watching Carly be NotCarly. LOL! And her boobs are way too big! I'll finish catching up and come back with my thoughts.
  14. First, *hugs* to you and your family for your tragic loss. It's never easy losing a child. <nm> Taping Rewind, but haven't really watched any of it. Clay's cute and he sings good... that's all I know.
  15. Thank you so much for the Redwood Hill and Meyenberg links, annabear! Sustainable, humane family farming. Yay! And the recipes on the Redwood Hill site look really good! From the Meyerberg site: Casein is also listed as a "to avoid" in anti-inflammatory diets. Really strict anti-inflammatory diets restrict all dairy products. I didn't add that to my list because, well, I'm in denial about it. Heh. But, these goat milk products help. I do love goat cheese, but have never had goat milk or yogurt. I'll give it a try. eta... oh, look. I'm on top. Like a goat!
  16. Yes, I've definitely read that... There is evidence/belief that the isoflavones in soy can impair one's thyroid or affect the body's use of synthroid or other thyroid meds in people eating iodine-deficient diets (iodine is important to thyroid function). You're supposed to limit soy products to 20-30g a day. And if you're a vegetarian/vegan you should be supplementing with sea vegetables to get enough iodine. It's hard to know how true that all is because the arguments are made by the soy groups or the medical groups or someone else who has something to gain by "educating" the public. In any case, pretty much anything in excess is bad for us. For me, Soy is a replacement, not a main dietary item. I don't use soy powders or anything, just soy milks and tofu a few times a week, and edamame (whole soybeans) on occasion. Which would keep me in the suggested range anyway. I presume you get your thyroid tested occasionally, so if you sort of keep your eye on your numbers and track your consumption, you could be your own test subject. Tangentially... Also, from the Organic Comsumer's Association: And, as John Robbins prompted my interest for healthier eating with Diet for a New America 20 years ago, I'll link his commentary also: http://healthyat100.org/display.asp?catid=3&pageid=12 And I tried to go to Taco Del Mar last night out of desperation and it was GONE! Was that a sign or what? So I ended up at my local market and bought some things that were better for me anyway! I have not used spelt flour for baking, annabear. Sounds interesting tho. I think Bob's Red Mill makes a Spelt flour and I bet there are recipes included on the product (and website for that matter, though I haven't looked). I'd love to know if you have any success. Yeah, no kidding, Gibby! It's so easy to sneak in something familiar... Like I would KILL for a butterfinger. It used to be my favorite candybar ever. And I want one. LOL! It helps to stay away from places that I can't help myself in. I have a couple choices in grocery stores here and I try to go to the one with healthier choices more often than not. And I never go when I'm in a real hurry unless I know exactly what I'm getting. It's too easy to grab something quick and "dirty". Congrats on your loss too. I have some work to do in the exercise area. I tend to think sitting and doing some gardening is all I need and I'm definitely wrong!
  17. You should definitely put that post back, laughn! You did an amazing thing there... very motivating, IMO! The thing is, you don't have to freak yourself out trying to do it all at once. Just notice what you're eating and choose the healthier alternative when you can. Mindless eating is the worst offender as far as I'm concerned. If you want sweets, find one that's better for you than some high-fructose corn syrup thing. You don't have to go all "Santa Cruz" in one fell swoop. LOL! The organic sections in your typical grocery stores are growing. My Nob Hill now has three rows. I go there first to see if there is a better alternative for what I need. Peanut butter and salad dressing does not have to have sugar in it. Who knew? I know about loving a burger, couchie... forgetting the cow, think of what they inject into the cow and if you want to eat that. Then choose a meat that has been organically raised so you're not filling yourself with antibiotics and hormones and all sorts of yucky stuff. Same with eggs and chicken. Just don't go buy the cheapest piece. Get a healthier cut of beef or a healthier pound of ground beef. You will honestly end up spending more money buying all the snacks you crave because of a poor diet that keeps your blood sugar inconsistent. Congrats on an awesome first week!! Just a note: Wheat bread is not the same as whole GRAIN bread. Don't just move from Wonder white to Wonder wheat. Only get a whole GRAIN bread. Whole wheat is not always the whole wheat grain... it's stripped down and enriched. And they add molasses or caramel coloring to make it brown again. Yikes! Less ingredients... healthier choice. If you can change WHAT you eat, how much you eat becomes a little less of an issue. I know this has been linked before too, but luckiest1 turned me on to The Daily Plate (thedailyplate.com) and it's immensely helpful. There is a VAST database of healthy alternative foods that come up for tracking purposes. I need to get back to using it consistently. I may intellectually know this stuff, but I'm not exactly in perfect shape myself, so... it's not just knowledge, you gotta do it too. Anyway, thanks for asking me to do this because it's helping me to think about it too!
  18. I put my homework assignment in the Diet thread. Of course, if you View New Posts, you know that by now.
  19. Ok, by request... Inflammation is bad. Inflammation causes pain, cardiovascular disease risk and is responsible for speeding up the aging process. The good news is an anti-inflammatory diet will help lower your LDL cholesterol (the lousy kind), AND be good for your diet in general. Anti-inflammatory diet do's and don'ts: Avoid: Sugar!White foods (flour, rice, bread, potatoes, pasta)Processed foods, including processed meats such as lunch meats, hot dogs and sausages. Pretty much skip anything in a box or can unless it's low sodium. Nightshade vegetables (tomatoes, white potatoes, hot and sweet peppers, corn, eggplant, pimentos)cashews, pistachios, peanutsfried foodsHigh-saturated fat meats, dairy products and eggs. These foods contain fatty acids called arachidonic acid (Omega6). While some arachidonic acid is essential for your health, too much may make your inflammation worse. margarineDo:Whole Grains (whole grain bread, whole grain cereals, brown rice, whole grain pasta, millet, quinoa, amaranth): Whole grains are slower to digest, thus being lower on the glycemic index, which lowers insulin production, which lowers risk of diabetes and also helps keep your blood sugar stable which, among other things, reduces your cravings for eating more! legumescold-water wild fish (salmon, mackerel, cod, tuna, sardines) Farm-raised fish contain considerably higher levels, up to four times those of wild salmon, of omega 6 fatty acids. People with inflammatory disease want to increase omega 3 fatty acids while avoiding junk food, high fat foods, sugar, fast foods and nightshade vegetables that might aggravate the condition. Arachidonic acid, an omega 6 fatty acid, is something that aggravates inflammation in people and may add to chronic pain. good fats - Omega 3s Omega-3 essential fatty acids are very powerful antiinflammatory agents. They are found in cold water oily fish, walnuts, flax seeds, canola oil and pumpkin seeds. When I don't eat the foods, I take an Omega-3 Supplement. sunflower, walnuts, almondsolive-oil - Omega9sfruits and veggies (lightly steamed is better to help get the most nutrition out of them)ginger and turmericberries and apple and red-onion skins blueberries and strawberries are packed with anti-inflammatory phytochemicals and anti-oxidants. The pigments in brightly colored fruits, vegetables and berries contain many phytochemicals that have antiinflammatory properties. One example is quercetin, which is found in apple and red onion skins and has strong antiinflammatory properties. I sometimes roast sweet potatoes (cut in large chunks) with apples and red onions (with skin, of course) in olive oil. Yum! garlic Pretty easy for this Italian! green tea I haven't given up my one cup of Joe every morning, but the rest of the day is green tea. papaya I take a papaya supplement to help with digestion every day. It's chewable because I HATE swallowing pills. pineappleginsenggingersardinessoy sauceEarth Balance spread A little red wine and cocoa (70% or higher) are good too!Notes: http://www.bobsredmill.com/ 10-grain cereal is good -- replaces cream of wheat, which I used to eat every day! I usually add dried blueberries or cherries or cut up an apple in it. I use agave or brown rice syrup instead of sugar. Splenda in my morning coffee tho... still working on that habit! I don't eat meat (except occasional fish), but if you do, choose low fat cuts... red, fatty meats are bad for you in so many ways (not to mention the poor cow. ) Also, use organic products as much as possible. "Conventionally produced" animal products have higher levels of arachidonic acid (Omega6) than organic ones. I personally don't use non-fat dairy products because usually they make up for the fat by adding sugar. (Notice nobody had lactose issues before they started taking us off of whole milk products?). So, I use half-and-half in my morning coffee and otherwise I use soy milk. Be careful if you buy yogurt, same deal. Usually the non-fat yogurts are high in sugar carbs. Try greek style yogurts for a lower sugar content. I also stay away from corn products. It just seems to aggravate me. I snack on these sometimes. Or apples and almonds. http://www.genisoy.com/HostedStore.LassoAp...869ef565700cf4c When you just gotta... http://www.turtlemountain.com/products/org..._delicious.html Seriously, this stuff is gooood! Another list (more restrictive): http://www.naturalchoicesforyou.com/site/680805/page/631430 And one more link: http://www.drweil.com/drw/u/ART02012/anti-inflammatory-diet Anyway, that's all I have in my notes... Hope it helps! Liney, did I ever show you the grape pie I made (your recipe)? I used whole grain flour and it was delish! It looks kinda burnt in this picture because of the bad lighting, but it wasn't. Good luck, couchie! You can do it!! :F_05BL17blowkiss:
  20. Okay... I think we have a thread around here for diets and health and stuff. I'll type up a little list and put it in there tomorrow. eta... from stripedshirts at CV: Ok, so he'll tape tomorrow. LOL!
  21. I really do think it does. I have had lots of shoulder pain in the last year -- which, when inflamed, was pinching a nerve and giving me migraine-like headaches. I cut sugar and started on the zyflamend (my chiro gave it to me a year ago and I just never took it until recently). I haven't had any pain in my shoulder for a couple of months and with the good weather we've been having I've been working out in the yard and I'm still good. I'm like you, never take medications unless it's a last resort (laughn can vouch for that... lol!). Thankfully, I haven't so much as needed an Advil since I started these. I did cut white sugars at the same time though, so I'm sure that helped too. :F_05BL17blowkiss: twin! Here's a sendspace of the Fox thing: http://www.sendspace.com/file/npbj4t I hope Clay taped something for Kimmel tomorrow or something.
  22. FromClaygary... I take Zyflamend. It's herbal and a combination of rosemary, turmeric, ginger, holy basil, green tea and some other things. I also try to eat an anti-inflammatory diet and I totally notice my back/shoulder pain flares up when I don't. Foods to avoid: sugar, processed foods, nightshade veggies (i.e., tomatoes, white potatoes, corn, hot peppers, potato chips), cashews (because of mold), pistachio, peanuts, cayenne and paprika. Seriously. It has helped me immensely in the last three months. Rice Chips are a good substitute chips if you're into munching on that sort of thing. I'm having some right now. Heh. BBQ. I also removed all corn filler products from my dog's food and I kid you not, my lab's arthritis in her legs is so much better and my dal's liver enzyme count dropped significantly, which pretty much saved her life. If you want more info about what kinds of foods TO eat, I can help you, but I won't bore everyone here. *waves* Glad your daughter is safe, KF! Chach... your Spamalot page is amazing!!
  23. Heh, why didn't you say so? I don't have the artwork for the mug. But if the MM peeps can't find it, surely they can recreate it from this. You don't need it to say CH probably.
  24. Go here: http://www.marvelousmugs.com and email the admin. I'm sure she still has the design. It was the 15oz mug. Or you can order a personalized version by sending her a picture of whatever you want.
