  1. A bunch of fans were waiting in the lobby area of the Indio Holiday Inn around 3pm because their hotel rooms weren't ready yet so KAndre "suggested" that we keep them entertained by taking over the TV in the lobby area. They included fans from Japan, New Zealand and Montana as well as several familiar faces at FCA. These are clickable pictures from that afternoon.

  2. Hello from Toronto! I'm here to hand-deliver KAndre's super sekrit rap lyrics and arrangements (do rap songs have those?) to LizinToronto /jk.

    *waves to all the concert-ho's from last week*

    I'm really behind on Clay stuff but since his Cedar Point pics were posted, I thought I'd upload the eHP ones: (no Clay unfortunately, just ehP)

    Taken by the Lemon/Strawberry Ice vendor (so a bit shaky)

    Really fast ride that looks like

    this.

    Dragster again with 2 people who know when to do (& not to do this)*wink*

    Another great stand-up coaster

    My dearest love

    Solo & my dearest love

    I see Scarlett's in the house somewhere north of the border...girrrrrrrl, you owe us some excellent clack!
    How crazy is it that I brought all the raw Clack to Canada with me even though I'll only be here 2 days and I have no means to render them. At least, if there's a terrorist attack tomorrow and I never get back home, I have the stuff with me. *g* See you Thursday/Friday!!! *smooches for driving us all over last week and for picking that car in the first place*
  3. Believe or not, I haven't actually downloaded any clack - awaiting a certain minion who claims I'm writing "fanfic" - I know where you live now missy! - it has made it really, really clear that where you sit makes a fair amount of difference in the sound quality.

    *Sighs resignedly then stops daydreaming and works on this first batch...*

    ETA: (sorry, lickiest, but the connections are maxed out right now; Eva is processing, though)

    I've sent the files to Eva but for those who can do XViDs, the first batch of Houston files are here as torrents. EasyDownloader only needs to be done once; and if you already have a BitTorrent client like Azureus don't even need it. *scans the real estate ads for something far, far away*

  4. Excuse me? Where's all this fanfic recap coming from? AP? Fox? At least when Muski writes fiction, it has lots of good Clay parts in it.

    -- I called at the agreed time to arrange dinner but folks needed to go to a dealership to buy a car

    -- When I called again for dinner and it wasn't happening anytime soon, I said that I would take my son out for pizza and I didn't ask anyone for pampering

    -- I wanted to leave early for Tulsa but received word via voice mail that it wasn't happening, so I decided to stay up to do the AC Grapevine clack that lucky & goldarngirl requested a week ago

    -- Would have been at merrieeee's at the time people said we were leaving but I got a warning light on my tires and had to get them fixed, like I explained to everyone when I arrived

    Is there a moratorium on Diva Clay stories that created a gap I need to fill?

  5. Lucky, I can't narrow it down enough to play, but I checked something for you instead...

    Not everyone followed. I remember this because someone had mentioned to me that I didn't have a clip of Grapevine and I was thinking that the tour was coming to a close so I should get at least 1 full clip of it. I intended to do that but then Clay came out early (*covers Muski's eyes*) so the plan went out the window.

    Hee, so what did you do? I'm hoping you've got a secret stash of Motown clack somewhere..... :F_05BL17blowkiss:

    It's on Clay from the 2nd half of Grapevine onwards, some of it close-up. Would have been all Clay, but on the 1st part Jacob went and stood directly in front of me and it would really have been rude to point away from him; still managed to get Clay on part of it, though. Overall I'd say 75-80% of it has Clay.

    I'm not ready to publish to ClayNation but will upload just this particular clip here soon (before leaving for Frisco). Meanwhile, folks who want an introduction to torrents might want to try it too. Warning: all the initial files out there are XViD avi's. I'll be adding some ipod clips soon, though.

    :F_05BL17blowkiss: back at ya!

    ==========================================================

    ETA: Hi Ansa! This site links a Vista XViD codec. I haven't tried it but from the discussion it seems to be alright.

    My three purdy pins arrived today!! They look even better than I imagined they would! Kudos to everyone involved in the process ... now I wish I had ordered at least a couple more. :F_05BL17blowkiss:

    Mine too!!! The're so pretty! (& thanks for the heads-up, couchie!)

  6. Speaking of Jacob....I noticed something yesterday while watching the AC JBT....Clay came out on stage during Jacob's solo in the Motown medley. He usually doesn't come out until after Jacob is done, at the beginning of Reach Out (I'll Be There). He seemed to be laughing and having a great time up there, dancing in the background, but none of the clack gatherers focused on him...they all followed Jacob. Does anyone who was actually there think he just came out early by mistake? Or did he want to watch Jacob? I just thought it was cool...because it was out of the ordinary.

    Clay did jump the gun - If you listen to the banter after the Motown Medley (or maybe even a bit later than that? not certain) Clay mentions how he accidentally came in early during Jacob's song - he was a little sheepish & apologizes.

    eta sorry to post-ho, trying to catch-up!

  7. Edits in blue...

    OK.

    This is what I understand so far:

    July 3: Solo comes into Houston through Hobby. Playbiller comes into Houston (Hobby or IAH)? I'm picking up Solo and she's spending the night at my house. Play, I can either get you at Hobby or Scarlett or merrieeee can get you at IAH, and you can hang with us unless you need a night to prepare for the psychoses that is the eHP. Dinner close to your house, maybe Chuy's? (optional: Montrose crawl ending in House of Pies)

    July 4: Everyone swings by merrieeee's house early in the am to leave luggage since we'll be traveling light (Scarlett giggles). Solo, Scarlett, KAndre, merrieeee, Playbiller, keepingfaith drive to Frisco in two cars. PerusingOne is flying into DFW, ldyjocelyn and Claygasm are flying into Love. ldyjocelyn and Claygasm are staying at a hotel - the rest of us are staying with sugrbugr. We are all going to the soccer game. Only some of us will watch. Scarlett will.be.watching football. Go Carlos!!! We will make a mad dash for the field. 90 minutes of ecstasy later, we head to our erstwhile lodgings.

    July 5: We have a fabulous brunch at sugrbgr's complete with margarita machine (the reason we're there in the first place) Solo, Scarlett, KAndre, merrieeee, Playbiller, keepingfaith, PerusingOne, ldyjocelyn, Claygasm and sugrbugr all drive back to Houston - either before or after sugrbugr's party - and we crash at merrieeee's house, except for those who have hotels.

    July 6: Scarlett leaves you all sleeping at merrieeee's and puts in an honest day's work. Pre party that starts at 3. Scarlett arrives 5-ish, just in time to grab the best door prize and dinner. Concert that starts at 7. After party. psycho eHP people head for Tulsa (Solo, Scarlett, KAndre, merrieeee, PerusingOne and kimiye. ldyjocelyn? & Claygasm? will ride with KeepingFaith in the morning) The Tourbus breaks down, we pass it, Solo & I dump the rest of you by the side of the road to pick up Clay & Jerome (? well someone has to drive while Solo and I entertain Clay in the back)

    July 7: Some go to the OK Fans party. Others pass out. We all go to the concert. PerusingOne flies back out of DFW. Ldyjocelyn and Claygasm out of Love? We actually sleep in a hotel with real beds.

    July 8: The rest of usyou drive back to Houston. Clay and I fly to Italy.

    OK, somebody fill in those ticky details like times and stuff.

    Then 5 more weekends of madness...

  8. Couchie....think about this:

    RT airfare= $118

    Ground Transportation= minimal share if at all

    Hotel in Frisco=cheap share

    Hotel in Houston=minimal share with CG and me, if at all--we're in the party hotel, honey, for less than $70 a night!

    Tickets?

    Frisco---sale Tuesday, right---these tickets are CHEAP!

    Houston---I swear I saw a Row G ticket on sale at CH...that's with/near us!

    The Texas Experience with good friends and Clay?

    PRICELESS, bay-bee! :TourExcite:

    (Go Warriors!)

    [Looked like I was in for a trouting & so did some preemptive editing...]

    ldyjocelyn, Karen Eh?, bottlecap and muski -- Thanks for all the purtiness!!! You're killing me but this is how I want to go. Please keep it coming! LOL!

    *waves and blows kisses to the token white girl for being my GPS/not-Damian to the Woodlands last night*"

    BTW, on the way back from Frisco we're stopping for a brunch pool party at sugrbugr's...

  9. I triple-dared N people who have couchie's super-secrit decoder ring & said, "so when the story breaks about the award, should we go post that we knew about it all along and were just being polite/protecting his privacy"/snerk to go post over there but I've got no takers... sigh! some people have no sense of fun & too much integrity

  10. I missed most of the last night's gnashing-over-gnothing, but here's what I would have said:

    The Brighter side of Teeth...

    10. He can fund TBAF out of what he'll save on bronzer; when he needs a tan he can just look himself over.

    9. If a snooty restaurant serves him a medium-rare steak, he can fix it right there.

    8. We can toss the pricey ISO 1000 Clack cameras with beyond freaky low-light capacity; ISO 50 will do just fine.

    7. No more water issues; if he gets too close to a body of water he can just evaporate it.

    6. With his voice and projection, he can do Sound-and-Light shows all by himself.

    5. It's a clean, renewable energy source.

    4. He no longer sits on the whitest part of his body.

    3. He can give bullies a hot seat from 2 blocks away.

    2. Whenever he wants to show off, he can part the Red Sea.

    1. Next time he wears white pants at a concert and turns to Jesse behind him... Voila! Instant backlight!

    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    luckiest, I saw your post about our meeting at the Interlochen pre-party. I'm really sorry about not remembering that. My only excuse is that Interlochen was the first time I ever came within 3 feet of that guy so my mind turned to oatmeal. Hoping to see you again at the next tour!
  11. Where's KAndre? She can't be asleep?!! I can't fill in all the spaces since I'm in such a fog that I need to read her recap to make sense of it all.
    I also thought "Kenny" the second I saw him -- and last night we were just talking about Muski's Kenny story...
    *threatens to keep dialing KAndre's number until she logs on* (and dial merrieeee's in between)
  12. I'm not Scarlett either, but man! Talk about your overpriced LA hotel room! And no pool boys to keep us entertained either! Muski cracked one eye at the Houston psychos (tsk tsk, we've gotten all of 3-4 hours sleep! We're good!), told us to go away and go eat while she sleeps like a normal person. I even LOOKED at the fitness center. Didn't go in, but a looked at it. That's my minimum daily requirement done....
    Clay tonight!
    Kisses to all who rejected our tickets - we admire your maturity and wisdom, and remind you that the immaturity and silliness will build up and y'all will go REALLY Clay crazy in a little while. It's all good!
  13. The hybrid posse is in Hollywood, y'all! Don't pay any attention to the name "Scarlett" over there on the left. It's me...Muski! We three finally made it to the hotel room. And there are only two DOUBLE beds in it---not queen beds, mind you. Should be an interesting night's sleep. heh.
    Scarlett and KAndre's plane was almost an hour late! And there were no chairs to sit in while I waited! So I sat on the floor and typed on Chapter 21! Then there they were! And we haven't shut up since....
    It's after 2 in the morning for those two...and Scarlett wants to get in line at 9...and KAndre wants to get breakfast and get there by 10...and it doesn't matter to me!
    Scarlett picked up some guy on the plane and he knitted with her.
    KAndre made nice with the car navigation system. Damien is dead.
    Muski forgot to bring her laptop battery charger and has only two hours left. She will most likely pull out the extra money she pinned inside her bra in order to buy one tomorrow. The alternative is unthinkable.
    Night! Will check in tomorrow.
  14. Heh, I am thrilled to see paragraphs and oh so flattered - and quite amused to see what was left out of the Red Bank dinner story. I am also a little sad because most of this story takes place about 4 miles from my house.
    I don't see where there was a great walk from the train station to the restaurant to the theater, but maybe that dog walking is getting me in practice. It wasn't even that cold that night. I won't spoil it for others, but the ceiling enthralled me that night.
    Heh, I also have to admit meeting Luckiest1 in the Cary afterparty.
    I was also thinking about what was left out because I vaguely recall our spending 2 hours at the restaurant, even though we did arrive late. Commiserates with playbiller... I missed out on most of the after "dinner" part because I went to the ladies room and ran into a bunch of meers outside it.
    Luckiest! You were at Cary?!! Oooh, we've shared a sauna. We have a connecshun!
    bottlecap, Ohio is still one of my favorites! Hugs memories of Toledo (that I will find Clack of after ldyjocelyn's awesome Boston waiting. I'm really amazed that you two haven't driven here to hold me upside down and shake out the Clack by now. What patience! *gets an idea* How about doing just that next weekend and stopping by merrieeee's along the way. (pssst, sometimes yelling at me helps)
  15. My husband today told me that when I have the eHP over to the house this weeend i need to call it a Super Bowl party, that way the cops won't be suspicious*g*
    That reminds me. I need to call you to get the details about the party. Uh, you still have "Right Here Waiting" for your call tone, don't you?
    And when the cops show up, this time we must remember not to assume that KAndre hired us a stripper. Even if the cop's name is Officer Claypool like last time.
    I'm a bit late on the pictures and videos but here's a video where KAndre and merrieeee explain the difference between "Mary" (as in Mary Did You Know) and "merrieeee" (as in merrieeee the binoculars lady).
    There are lots of pictures but these pre-concert ones need to come first since they feature Muski:
    KAndre, Muski & DD
    merrieeee, KAndre, Muski & DD
    Solo, PerusingOne & the webcats
    Muski with Ficus
    Rare picture of the eHP together -- KAndre found a willing gentleman
    Because they took a picture of my rear, here are theirs
    I fully support regional chains... or visit them at least once
    KAndre gamely tries something new
    Realization
    Verdict
    I was trying to mop up the white space surplus that KAndre created, did anyone notice? *giggles*
  16. I hope this is the right place to post this...it seems there was some talk about geese & Cheez Doodles & stuff. A video also surfaced that don't seem to fit any category in the Clay tours...
    Before the Long Island show:
    Plotting world domination on the morning of the Long Island concert
    Evil plans decided, giggling in anticipation...
    Pre-dinner party...
    Before the West Point show:
    Fooling around in the shadow of the Statue of Liberty's butt
    Clay is out there somewhere
    Pondering the value of geese as minions
    Before the Red Banks show:
    Video -- ready for Clay
    to be continued... (once I find out where/if these things can be posted)
  17. EEEEEE!
    El Espanol clearly means he's coming to Mexico del Norte - Tejas!
    ¡Te quiero tanto, mi querido!
    And yes, I'm currently desparately scrabbling through my 5th grade Spanish book like half the other heifers out there!
    Ding dang it! It must be some kind of signal for Scarlett!
    5th grade Spanish book? *quickly hides the "Naughty Spanish Phrasebook" under the couch*
    Muski, just 18? *cries* Can I cheat and just pick from the Christmas songs?
  18. 14Clay finally got the whole thing, I am uploading it to 4shared as we speak.
    here is the link
    playbiller, thank you so much for this. You're the best! I just got home and thought all the links would have run out by now. I'll take funny Clay over hawt sex god anytime (though it's a v. close call).
    KAndre, they send you icewine??! *pouts* I never get alcohol, though someone nice sent some totally yummy "extra virgin" maple syrup (or whatever you call it -- First run?). I don't know what those maple trees are doing at night but it REALLY is more special to wait.
    ITA about ice wine -- my favorite ones are from New York (no, really!) so it looks like we'll have a very merry time. couchie, are you suuuure? We know someone who's got an extra Ike Hall ticket and there may be a Red Banks one tomorrow...
