  1. Thank you for acknowledging that I didn't make that up. It's nice to know that some people can still read a person's post and not cherry pick out words and twist them around in an effort to purposely try to embarrass or humilate someone. With the intent of trying to send them packing or shut them down. You never used used to post the way you did yesterday, either, couchie. You would take it to PM if you an issue with me. I find it terribly two faced of you, couchie, and some members of your board, to be such a nice person when you are talking to me in PM or privately. When others can't read it. How nice & accepting a person you can be when accepting gifts or acts of kindness and thanks from me, or anyone else, that benefits you or your board. Then to have you come out here on the board and try your best to be such a smartass to me, twist my words all around, all the while your friends high fiving you, getting their little digs in, shows more about who you and some others really are, than me. I've always been the same person on the board as off. I don't understand why you would come out here blasting me for talking about other fans in this fandom, when this board does exactly the same thing. You and some of your members here have made fun of the Clackhouse members & the OFC members ever since I found this board. You're still doing it. Just because you don't name names doesn't make it any more acceptable than me and my way of posting. I don't see a difference in my making fun of OTT fans than what some of the members on your board say about other fans. I have contacted BAF and asked them to withdraw my request for my donation to be credited to FCA. I no longer want my donations associated with any fan board that shows such disgust and disdain for me. You don't even make an effort to try and hide it anymore. This board has definitely changed it's dynamic and IMHO not for the better.
  2. I wish I could be as good a fan as you and your board are couchie. There doesn't seem to be a board out there that suits me anymore. All of them with their own little cliques and unless you tow the line you are not accepted. Sort of harkens to what I was saying about how many fans have been run off by the behavior of other fans and their treatment of you. This board used to be filled with a bunch of smart ladies. I miss them. But, as you said, dynamics change and people move on. I agree with you on that. Enjoy your cd. I hope it arrives soon, and good luck on your auction for BAF. I'm sorry to say, though, that I have decided to keep that beautiful picture that I was going to donate. I just can't seem to part with it after all. For the record, you are misreading me. For what it's worth you might be surprised what Clay thinks, and how I know it. I don't think I have ever proclaimed any special inside knowledge on here, other than being on Faye's email list, and as I've stated she shares nothing with me or any fan. NOTHING!!! I certainly don't intend to give that impression in my posts. I also never called everyone on here a liar. You also mistated what I said about him being lazy, as if he is all the time and that it is his nature. I think you owe me an apology for saying that. Have a good evening.
  3. You're kidding right? Bwahaa!!!! Clay is most definitely one stubborn diva man. Now, if Kelly Clarkson can get away with calling Clay a diva or princess, then I guess I should get a pass, seeing as how I am a fan. I find it incredable that some of you would call Clay a liar. He most definitely said his fans cost him radio play. Perhaps he was lying but he did say it. It is not my words, I just agree with him. IIRC it was a fan who reported him saying that in a M&G. However, you all know how my memory is. I'm not going to go searching for where he said it, but come on. Love me or hate me you should know after 6 years I don't have a reputation for being a liar. He also said the other things I mentioned he said. Which part of my posts did you agree with, couchie? You said you didn't agree with most of it. So does that mean you agree with something? That gives me hope. I would be shocked if anyone on here, or any other board, ever agreed with me at all. That has been my experience on message boards. It usually doesn't take more than 5 seconds for someone to come swooping in to tell me they don't, and point out the error of my thinking. It doesn't bother me anymore. Used to hurt my feelings, but now it just rolls off my back and does'nt cause me one minute of discomfort. Nor do I feel the need to explain myself over and over again anymore. I'm not a 24/7 susie sunshine type of gal. I see both sides of issues, negative and positive and that is how I post. I haven't ventured to other boards but I can just imagine what they are saying. I don't think Clay can't/won't have a career but I don't think it will be of the superstar magnitude he once had is all. It may be something I won't want to follow, as closely as I once did. However, I hold him in high regards regardless of what I might joke around and say about him or even when I seriously get put out by him. Which I have. I haven't forgotten my one lone trip to see Spamalot. HaHaHa! I love the kid. He deserved a shot and he got it. He's got this far, now the ball is in his court, as to whether he suceeds or not. I feel I've done my part and about all I can to help him. I have others in my real life who depend on me too. So., Take it away Clay...........Do Your Thang!!!! I don't understand how a fan of Clay's can be involved on message boards and not have things filtered through other fans past behavior, or present. I can see not wanting to talk about it, perhaps. However, to just ignore things that have happened in this fandom over the past six years? Like they never happened, and certain people should just be forgiven and given a pass for their behavior? Especially, when they were so, so wrong about things they did to hurt Clay? You people are a better person than me. I don't sit and rag about it all the time, but I won't forget it or stop resenting it. Bet Clay won't either. I couldn't consider myself a fan of Clay's if I wasn't totaly disgusted with what some of his fans have done, supposedly in his name. I understand you people want to move on, but not everyone is ready or willing to. Clay's lost a lot of fans due to other fans behavior towards them. People should be honest about that if nothing else. Let fans express their disappointment or concerns. What harm does it do in the grand scheme of things? Really? If Clay doesn't want to hear it then he shouldn't read the boards. In fact he should of quit reading them 5 years ago IMHO. *g* I don't think I have ever said anything about him that I wouldn't say to his face if he asked me about it. Like I said he doesn't have to like me personaly for me to be a fan of his talent. He is stubborn, and at times he is also lazy. He knows it, I know it, his mother knows it, why try to stiffle discussion about it? What happened to ANSAMCW-Jenna-claygasm and a few others? I really miss them on this board. I hope they are still Clay fans.
  4. I suppose David Foster would have first chance to sign Clay up. So many of Clay's fans have wanted that. I've always said to be careful what you wish for. If you don't like Josh Groban or Michael Buble, you probably won't like Clay going there. I know I hope he doesn't go there. I still think his grammy could of come from contempory Christian music had he of gone that route instead of pop. Of course, now that he is out of the closet. I don't think he could do that now. Unless Christians have changed their thoughts about people being gay. From the reactions of some of his fans, I'd say they haven't. LOL Fans merely requesting a song would not be enough to get an artist blacklisted, but come on now. We are talking about some of Clay's more OTT fans. You know the ones. They write nasty letters to the DJ's, who can't do a thing about the playlist. Then they write letters to their local (or not) radio station's advertisers threatening to boycott their products. Hey when you start messing with the radio's bread and butter, you are going to piss them off. Radio is in the advertisement buisness, not music. Music is just a filler. They also like to join in mass and spam & request Clay on stations that are not even in their areas, not to mention spamming stations that don't even have Clay on their playlist. So yeah, I believe him when he said his fans is why he can't get played on radio. Those type fans are too much to deal with, in any aspect of Clay's career. I know I'm guilty of sending a scathing letter to Clearchannel myself, and one to my local AC station, but I stopped that crap years ago. I realized quickly that kind of behavior hurts Clay and not helps. I hope Clay won't get left out of a lot of opportunities because his OTT fans are not worth putting up with the aggravation and baggage that comes with Clay. Our reputation precedes us wherever Clay is concerned. Poor guy can't win for losing. Even though he can't be responsible for the behavior of his fans he has to bear the results of it. Wouldn't you agree? It makes me mad for him and is hard for me to stop beating my own dead horse about it. Actually I have become a whole lot more zen about it all. I keep my eyes and ears open regarding what Clay is doing by going back to lurking and PM'ing with friends. Yes, I do have Clay friends. HeeHee. Hard to believe, huh? However you didn't think a major newsflash like his label dropping him was going to keep me in lurk mode did You? I want to discuss it even if everyone scrolls. Then I'll be back to lurkdom or off the boards. Depends on what Clay does. If Clay signs with another label or goes independant, which I doubt, the first thing I hope he does is put a stop to the clack gathering. Now I know that is going to start a firestorm here and get me pelted, and banned all over Claynation, but I don't care. Fans really, really need to reconsider stealing his concerts and putting them all over YouTube, the message boards, and all over the internet. Like he has asked us not to do in the past. One of his blogs I believe he stated that it IS NOT good advertising for him to put montages up, especially. He has spoken directly in a concert before about people stealing his show. Of course we never listened to him, because we think he is just kidding and our wants are more important than his wishes in this one particular area. LOL IMHO, and there are others who feel this way too, it hurts his tickets sales. But it might just be a moot point to discuss now. I've been thinking, ever since Clay released his last CD that it was his swan song to his fans. That he is no longer interested in trying to please everyone and is going to move on to other things. Go find love and be happy in his life. Raise Parker. I listened again to a few of the songs last night in bed on my i-pod. The lyrics to almost every song on there tells the story about how he feels at this time in his life and how he feels about his fans and the music business. That is my interpretation of his last cd. His swan song. I'd hate to think he would give up trying to achieve a singing career, because that is what I jumped on board to support him for. That's who he is and what he is to me. That's his forte and talent. It is just a shame, for whatever reasons, that he couldn't of conquered the world with it. Of course there is still hope he can find a way to get acceptance in music. I think he will stick with broadway and get gigs on TV, but I hope they are soon and good gigs. I'll support him on TV but if the singing is gone, then I will more than likely be gone. I came for the music fell in love with waldo the person, but, it's still the music for me baby. No traveling to NYC all the time for broadway shows. But if I can sit and watch him on my TV, then I'm there. As long as he is going to sing a song too. Now my good friend thinks he is going to surprise us with something that will blow us out of the water. I hope she is right. I'm ready for Clay to blow me......... Oh, mentioning Clay's friends. Anybody know what Angela and Quianna are doing now? What happens to them if Clay stops touring? Are they still friends. Do they stay in touch. Im out of the loop on them because I don't follow them. Ferrets stink worse than anything I have smelt. LOL Back to lurking..........Good Luck Clay. You're a good man.
  5. Were you talking to me scarlett? 'Cause I do find lots of joy and happiness in my life other than Clay and his fans. I also find joy in Clay. I didn't think I was beating down on Clay himself, just speaking what I consider the truth. However, once in awhile some of his fans just beg to be beaten down on. They've been blaming RCA for everything wrong in Clay's life for 6 years. So excuse me if I am glad that RCA is out of the picture, for that reason only. That I am happy that all of us who did not ascribe to that line of thinking won't have to read about it or scroll anymore. That the poor dead horse will finally have a funeral. I find it funny and wonder who they are going to blame for things in Clay's career in the future. Especially if nothing changes, whether he goes independant or if a smaller label picks him up. Or God forbid he goes into obscurity. I understandl about the music business. It's a new world and radio is a defunct dinosaur, but that didn't stop Clay from saying his fans got him blacklisted on radio did it. So, indeed it does give me some happiness to beat on them for a few minutes. 'Cause as far as I'm concerned I agree with Clay about his fans and radio. So yeah Pfft to them. Does anybody know how many downloads of Clay songs that have been downloaded in the past 6 years? It would seem it wasn't enough to satisfy his label. I bet it disappointed Clay too. I don't know what went down with Clay and his label but I think there might come a time when he will be sorry they couldn't come to an agreement. I'm sorry too. Waves to lightmyfire. I understand completely what you are saying. Glad you came out and said it. It is a sad time. Hey! Maybe Clay will take over Conan O'Brian's late night spot. He's always wanted to do a talk show. I'm not worried about Clay making a living and being just as happy to stay home with Parker or go back to teaching. Wonder how Reed, his friends, and Jaymes would feel about Clay just going back to being a teacher? Would they stay around? Or are they just there for the celebrity. Interesting point a good friend of mine asked me. I wonder. Have to give it some thought.
  6. http://www.people.com/people/article/0,,20...ss-topheadlines Finally he is done with RCA. Now if he continues to be blacklisted on radio, or fails to sell cds, and sell out arenas, or continues to make cds of cover songs, who are we going to blame? It will be interesting to see if he can find another label who will take him. Personally, I don't think he wants a serious singing career, anymore, or if he ever did. I think those were just my dreams for him. IMHO he never took the music buisness all that serious. He just wanted to do what he wanted to do, good for him for being true to himself, but it didn't sell. It takes more than a great voice and being a good humanitarian, to sell records. I think he is so happy to be "out" and being able to have a public boyfriend, that he is going to make up for lost time in his personal life. You go Clay!!!! She bang!!! She bang!!!!. I think he will stay on broadway. That is once shows make a comeback. As with everything else, Broadway is hurting. I think he horded all his money back, and can live quite comfortably for some time. Hence wearing the same clothes for 6 years. He's naturally cheap though. IMHO! I feel he will always be able to make a good living. I don't think he will he achieve the notority he once had after AI2. It will be interesting to see what happens. He DOES NOT have a fanbase to speak of anymore. CD and ticket sales reflect that. I feel elated about RCA being out of the picture, yet sad at the same time. They were a major label after all. I think they dropped Clay and not the other way around. Does it really matter though? No, they are finally out of the picture. Time for some of his fans to find a new dead horse to beat. These are just my knee jerk thoughts before having a lot of time to digest this news, this morning, and to have a 2nd cup of coffee. Seriously? I don't think Clay is worried or cares if he is a famous celebrity or singer. He has made it clearly known how he feels about his privacy and being a part of the "Hollywood" scene. I think he will also continue to seek out someone to take over BAF as well. Oops, I shouldn't have shared that thought, should I. Forget I said that, would you? LOL
  7. Your welcome, couchie. Is your auction still on? If you want I will take bids on the item I have donated and send the money in to you of BAF. Whatever you want. Let me know.
  8. I am waiting to hear confirmaton from at least three people as to whether they have received their items. Please post or PM me, once again, and let me know if you have received your items. I will be sending a check to BAF for $25.00, to be put into FCA's alpha beta account. Thanks to all those who bought items from me and helped me to donate some money to Clay's charity as well. Deducted from my gross earnings: Shipping costs: $83.09 Packaging: $30.91 PayPal Fees: $15.77 My net proceeds come to $247.32 which I will round off to an even $25.00. I will get that to BAF ASAP. I will send them a check as to avoid any further PayPal fees. So it might take a week for them to get it and post the credit to FCA.
  9. Here is what I have left to sell and what I'd like to have for it. Buyer pays shipping. I will more than likely accept any reasonable offer, as well. I will leave the sale on through the 8th of February, and then it will be over. After I take out shipping and handling and PayPal fees I will donate 10% of the net total to BAF, to be put under FCA's Alpha Chapter. I had already planned to do that. couchie allowed me to post my stuff here. Plus the fact that all/most of my buyers were from this board. Except for the FCA pins, Couchie gave me, I have already promised and made plans for what is left. However I will find something to donate to Couchie's fund raiser along with my 10% of what I get on this stuff. I hope that helps FCA's fundraiser in some small way. Asking price is on the left of the item. All offers considered, though. Thanks to everyone who bought stuff. _______________ Miscellanious stuff: $15.00 2. 10. I just wanted to apologize for not updating my post. I have been without power from Tuesday morning until Friday at 6:00Pm. Our state has had the worst ice storm in our history. Over 150,000 people in the Fayetteville/Springdale area were without power. They are hoping to get up to 95% connection by the end of the weekend. Our neighborhood looks like a tornado went through or a bomb was dropped. They have called in help from Texas, Oklahoma, and all over to help. Long story short I am just now getting access to my computer again. I will be updating and cleaning up my list of stuff ASAP.
  11. __________ Hi everyone. This is sad to say, but I must get rid of my Clay memorabilia. Husband no longer wants a Clay Aiken Shrine taking over our walk-in closet. LOL He is no longer negotiable on the matter. Instead of giving stuff away or trying to sell it on EBAY, I thought I would offer it for sale to the existing online fans. This way it helps me to keep peace in my marriage, and to raise a little money for the BAF at the same time. I'll be donating 10% of what I get to The Bubel Aiken Foundation. So please keep that in mind. Some things I will have set prices for and others I will take the best offer. So please PM me with bids or questions. I will be checking in often. I realize that a couple of people have given me some pins. Please PM me with your address and I will either return the pins to you at no charge. Or if you prefer, I will donate 100% of what I get for those pins, to the BAF in honor of your board. I know Couchie from FCA gave me a couple and some of them I bought. I know Elspeth from Clayboard gave me some. So please email me with your mailing address and which ones you gave if you want them back. Everyone and every board is allowed to purchase. I will update the list below as the items sell, or if I want to add more stuff. I am not selling my autographed items. Only the picture bought from the merchandising stands that has his autograph on it. Ok. I have to run out this afternoon, so if you don't get a response right away, be patient I will get back to you. Thanks to everyone who checked out this link and thanks in advance to those who wish to purchase items. _______________ Miscellanious stuff: 1. 1...I Love Clay Coffee Cup. 12. There are a lot of feminists in Claynation, I see. Including me. Ordered is my word, not my husbands. No one orders me to do anything. However, I think all of us know when our husbands have reached their limits and are serious about something. It's called putting your foot down, and that he has. I've put mine down a few times with him as well. Let's just say he strongly urged and recommended I get rid of it. He has reached his tolerance level and wants it gone. He made his feeling quite known to me. I love my husband more than Clay and I acknowledge and honor his feelings. I suspect he is feeling neglected and jealous. I suspect that he feels selling the stuff and putting the money to better use, like medical bills, is better than him having to be reminded of how much I love Clay every time he walks into the Clay Shrine to get a change of clothes. I have a thing about priorities and I feel having a marriage that is happy is better than keeping Clay memorabilia. My husband has not been a well man for some time, and is facing more medical problems. He is feeling neglected. Rightfully so. So, I think I will show him that I love him and get rid of the stuff if it is that important to him. I have to admit it hurts to get rid of my collection, however, my memories will always be there. Making my husband happy makes me happy. So, sometimes we make concessions when we really don't want to. Here is my post that some people are unable to access. Couchie if you don't want this posted here, please feel free to move or delete it. I wasn't sure what the board rules were on all the message boards about posting stuff for sale. That is why I posted it where I did. I didn't realize that the old Rebels Board was set to have to join to read there. If anyone wants to take this post and post it at their board feel free. It would be helping me and The BAF out. 13. I hope it is alright to post this here. I have to get rid of my Clay stuff. Please, don't anyone interpret this as me no longer being a fan. He will always have my love, support, and respect. I plan to continue following his career. It's just that I will be doing it from afar. I will still attend concerts and buy his cd, only no longer in multiples. I've been ordered to get rid of and to stop all the Clay memorabilia collecting. Per husband. Please check out this link and share it with your other friends. Thank you. http://rebelsforclayaiken.yuku.com/topic/4439
  14. I just love him so....................
  15. Merry Christmas to all who may dwell here. Merry Christmas if even just one. May the joy of the season surround you Merry Christmas with love............. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1Obr6LOmD_c...feature=related May good health, good wealth, and love be bestowed on all of you and your families in 2009.
  16. Deleted because original post this refers to has been deleted.............. Congratulations to the African American people for their victory. History has been made and I can feel your pride. I hope he can make you proud. Maybe someday we will have a woman president to show how things should really get done.
  17. Deleted by my choice......................
  18. Fatherhood looks great on Clay. I never doubted that he and Jaymes were going to have a baby, and I am so happy for him. Congratulations Jaymes and Clay.
  19. Well that doesn't negate the fact that showing disrespect to Clay, his family, and friends is not well received or appreciated or tolerated much on this board. As i have been repeatedly told. I totally disagree with the notion that Faye was not a good mother and I bet you Clay would too. I don't care what he wrote in his book. I take offense at bashing Faye and I will say so each time I see it done. :F_05BL17blowkiss:
  20. I did read the book. Thank you very much. More than once or twice. That doesn't mean I know what really happened in Clay's life or how his mother treated him. Nor does that make any of his fans know what went on in Clay's home. You know what he said in a book but not the context of how things were handled in his real life. Right? Hey, if you're going to post something so controversial then you have to expect that people are going to respond to it. I'm just disagreeing with what you said............... I find it insulting to Clay and to Faye. Clay has stated many times he is very very close to his mother.
  21. Well what happened to the notion that Clay, his friends, and his family were to be respected here. I take offense at the notion that Clay was treated so mean and his mopther stood by and let it happen. I guess it's not alright for me to say I think Clay is gay, but it is alright to indicate his mother was somehow negligent in her rearing of her chioldren.
  22. Oops. I meant to post this earlier when I was discussing the things I've planted. I wanted you to see what my Hot Lips plant looked like. Now I'm outta here.............. http://www.californiagardens.com/Plant_Pag...lla_hotlips.htm
  23. That's not what you said but that is neither here nor there. A message board means that people will respond to what you write and saying something and then expecting the convo to just end cuz you've had your say isn't really the way things work. Liney I wasn't trying to cut off conversation and you can feel free to say whatever you want. I've enjoyed everything so far - however, we won't be going in the direction of people who take Clay at his word having to defend that position, which is what's you're doing clayzor when you say they have no proof, that they are sweeping things under the rug and that it's only generally <insert delusional> internet fans that believe he's straight anyway. I had to go back to see exactly what I said.: Okay you're right. I didn't say if he was, I stated I believe he is. At any rate, I misunderstood your post. I thought you were asking us to move on and stop discussing that Clay might be gay, because this board doesn't hold that view. I don't care if eveyone wants to come and pummel me about what I believe. I'm just going to consider the source and ignore it. To my knowledge I have never posted that I have proof he is gay. IO believe I was accused of posting proof here that he was and I was responding to that. Asking them where their proof is. I happen to believe that Clay is capable of fibbing or saying what he has to say for certain things. That's not a judgement of him. I think he is human and normal like all of the rest of us. Not pure in everything he says and does. I believe most everything I say is always, or most of the time, precluded with an IMHO, and not meant to be presented as facts.. I say poor Clay merryclay. He has all the fans that think they are helping him by some of the things they do. Too bad they can't see themselves in the mirror. If Faye is reading my posts, she will see that I love her son irregardless of his sexuality and irregardless if she is going to be a grandma or not. Perhaps I should turn her on to some of some other's post, on some other unamed board. Oh wait, she is already aware of that and does not approve. So have a good evening everyone. Waves at all the Chexmates.............
  24. I've been trying to move on couchie, but if you look above your post you will see that it is others who keep the topic going. I've tried to move on to the lyrics of his songs. I am not calling Clay a liar. Never have. I stated that if he is gay I could understand why he has to stay in the closet and deny it. That is not the same thing as calling him a liar. It also isn't a new found revelation for me. Ask any of my friends how I have felt about his sexuality and they'll back me up. Even disagree with me. I get your drift............. :F_05BL17blowkiss:
