  1. Wow bottlecap, that's a boatload of hyperactive bananas upthread!! Decaf, I say. Nice to see Clay again. Interesting hair. It definitely achieved the surprise effect I'm sure was intended.
  2. bottlecap Awwww, you're too sweet. I've been enjoying diving into other areas of my life over the last few months. I was talking to a friend today and telling him about some of the fabulous adventures and some of the moments on the tours that have touched my heart. It was a fun conversation and neat to be able to give some depth to his one-dimensional view of "Claymates" and Clay himself.
  3. I saw Michael Buble last summer and it was a great concert. He does mention Clay. It's in the context of women screaming "I love you Michael". He responded "Sure sure. Last week you were screaming "I love you Clay"". Not bashing. Just teasing his audience. He's definitely more crass than Clay. There was some unexpected crude language and I wouldn't bring children to it. He's an amazing singer and a really great entertainer. Here's a link to my photos from the concert.
  4. You should definitely have your own travel show. This is fantastic literature.
  5. Here's a little something to entertain everyone while we wait for CD news.... New pictures from the Dec. 2 New York concert. Come Hither Sigh Teacher Clay Wow Happy Clay Good News The Full Album: First New York Concert Feel free to post these elsewhere, just not at the OFC. Thanks.
  6. Happy Birthday Bottlecap. Hope your day is full of Clay and penguins!
  7. Just a minute - was Michael Buble on the Dancing with the Stars results show?? I didn't tape it because that's usually the most boring thing ever. I love Michael Buble! However, I maintain I am neither a Bublehead, nor a Claymate....
  8. Perhaps the discovery of some top secret clack in the bunker on Lost??
  9. Let me tell you just how much I believe Sony's disclaimers.... The other problem with Sony is that they aren't playing nice with iTunes. If the album isn't on iTunes, it could miss a lot of sales. I know Switchfoot was pretty bitter about how their last album got caught up in the whole Sony/Apple powerplay. Maybe getting sued by Texas shook some sense into them.
  10. Can I ask a dumb question? How did this album end up coming out under Sony? This is new right? Here's my problem - I was one of those people who were badly burned by the last round of Sony CDs that took a computer science degree to rip and get on your iPod. Then, after that mess we learned that when we ripped the CD it dumped a bunch of spyware on our computers? I spent ages cleaning it up and vowed never to buy another Sony CD. What to do????
  11. People need to realize that Clay's romantic attachments will have no bearing on the chances he will walk down into the crowd and sweep them off their feet. Two ice cubes' chance in hell are not that much greater than one ice cube's chance in hell.
  12. What? Is this universal "Bad Hair Day"?? Mine too. Though not so bad I'd let John D. near it (not a slap at John - just that I'm allergic to hair products). No more penguin jokes bottlecap?
  13. I think I'd have one of my pictures signed. It would be a hard call which one, but I'm sure I'd have a fun time deciding. If I could have more than one item signed, it would be LTS. I love having books signed. Since my Clay calendar has now expired, I don't have any real visible Clay stuff. My memorabilia is all in a big box in my bedroom. What I do have though is a gallery in my study/dining room. The wall is decorated with various of my pictures. There are some Clay ones up there mixed in with other singers and some landscapes. It always provokes a lot of discussion and it makes me smile as I pass through every day. The one 8x10 of Clay up in the mix is this. Not the pose people would expect from AI2 Clay. Not sure why I initially chose it, but I like the colors.
  14. When all this started I tended to buy in multiples. However, those days are long past. I have some pretty obscure magazines in my collection and lots of fan made items from various parties. However, I'm guessing my most "unusual" items (i.e. the stuff only I have) would be the Jerome stuff. Pictures and various exciting items buzztechie has given me over the years. The latest was this Christmas when I got a package that was To: SkateJoy Love: Jerome. I opened it and it was a black t-shirt that says "Security" across the front. Beat that!
  15. Happy New Year FCA!! Hope everyone had a fun time last night and you are all relaxing today. For those who may be interested I've put up some of my vacation photos here.
  16. Happy New Year FCA! I'm back from my vacation where I was a little more cut off from everything than I had intended. Didn't read any Clay stuff (or even most of my personal email!) while I was gone. It was a much needed break. Missed the penguin talk though. Will bottlecap be switching her allegence to giraffe's now? Happy Birthday Buzztechie!!
  17. A discussion of "Where I Belong" is always interesting at Christmas. I'm heading off in a few minutes to spend a week in the Great White North with my family. In the years after I moved away I struggled all the time with where I belonged. I didn't seem to belong in a big fast moving city where I had no roots. Yet, when I went "home" things had changed, and I had changed, so I didn't really belong there either. I've recently realized that I need to find a place where I feel comfortable, where I can live my life the way I want to (or need to) and that reflects my values and then put down roots there. I hope Clay has found a similar peace. Merry Christmas to you all!
  18. A Jerome recap! That rocks. Are there pictures??? Can I just say I'm starting to worry about our dear Clay? Here's why: A ) He's titled his new albume Where I Belong B ) He's talked about being in a comfortable place geographically and musically C ) He's discussing MONGOLIAN POLKA MUSIC Do you see my worry? Is this where he belongs? Hmmm... deep thoughts to ponder.
  19. Just a minute. I'm missing a Clay Aiken/Michael Vartan debate?? Both very hot guys. Loved seeing Michael in last week's Alias. People are splitting up Clay's time??? Is no one else noticing the bottlecap/georgiaclay take over here???
  20. Okay - as requested earlier in the thread, I'm here and waving hello. I don't have a cellstream, so I'm just checking to see if there's any clarification on the Good News mystery. Oh, and to thank Bottlecap. I didn't realize Alias was on at 10 and thought I missed it. Can't miss a minute of hot Vaughn!
  21. NYC wasn't much of a social scene. I ran into a few people that I knew. I figure people will know me by the huge camera always hanging around my neck. It would have been great to meet you. Any more word on the Good News mystery? Think we'll get a blog entry? I would have been heartbroken if there had been no Good News at one of my concerts.
