  1. Death of me lyrics -- Makes me wonder If I only build it all ... to watch it fall ... OMG
  2. Perhaps because this song renders me helpless ....
  3. Strummer tackles KAndre, steals back LAA, also grabs LNM for good measure, and heads back to the board, wearing a killer white hat decked out with a bitchin' tiara. Gee. However did that happen?.* Re: Lover All Alone - It's that last line in LAA. Go ahead. Play it over and over and over again. But only if you want your heart to swell so much it hurts. That almost has a metaphysical feel to it. Aw. And you did great! Even if I get screwed up with work, I'm just happy to know there's a listening party and that people will be having fun. I love fun! Fun is good! Clay is fun! *Disclaimer: No board members were harmed during the writing of this post, and no actual tackling occurred. Also, this poster would never ever ever filch a woman's hat. Mainly cos she looks like crap in hats.
  4. And LAA gets like three hours, right? Though I might need more. I'm waiting to find out if I have to work tonight. I'm still adjusting to working for a west coast group full time, since I live on the east coast. When one of those ten hour days happens, I end up working pretty late. Though even if I'm working tonight, I'll be peeking in. Oh -- is Clay still crossing the road? And BTW, exactly where is this road? NYC? Mecca? The Bahamas? Must have a pinpointed location, y'all. It's Claaaay! [/my inner stalker]
  5. Really. I'll drink to that. (Too early?) HaHa! Love it! Oh yeah. I go to post, but then I get mesmerized by the hair and I can only gaze in wonder ... Why did Clay Aiken cross the road? He don't need no stinkin' lanes. To go the Random Lyric Generator shop. Time for a tune up. He spotted a talk show host desk right there waiting. Mr. TheyWillBeLocked showed up as his driver again. (Oops. Ansa had this guy. I missed it cos of mandated.) Wind! Bucket Hat! OMG! Okay. Now I'm just getting silly. *picks out staples and squishes ldyjocelyn* Work. Why do I have too? Sigh.
  6. May I just say how much I love Claygasm's avi? I covet, yes I do. ldyjocelyn wrote: Now cut that out! Some of us are pure and virtuous and ... and ... Oh. Wait. That's not me. Never mind. Hi everyone!
  7. BC -- Lost isn't a rerun. All new and it's a Hurley episode! I love Hurley. The Ninja Nana originated here? I guess I'll be clicking 'show all' and see what I get. Is it scary? OT, kinda -- Woohoo and Wheeeeeee! I finally got a LCD monitor! Buh-Bye, you ding dang 17" clunky CRT. Bring on the 19" and the defined color! I'll be signing off to switch them out soon. Ooooh, what concert video to watch first? I'm think an orangish-reddish shirt BFM with tie yanking. That could be good. ------------------------- I just checked show all. This is a dancing pickle? I always thought that was broccoli. And why does this amuse me so? ::waves:: at KAndre. Shop! Eat! Shop! Eat! And then shop some more! Come home with five suitcases. You know you want to. I wanna be in Italy.
  8. I hear ya. But is it wrong of me, a person who usually does not care much (and that includes Hawaii Harry Potter's friend hair) if a little part of me eeeeeeeeeees inside when I see a picture that shows it draping over his collar and curling a bit against the neck? I think it's just in my nature. Back in the day, I married a long haired man. Bo Bice long. He's since cut it. He's also an ex-DH, but I don't think it was about the hair. I am, however, thinking that type of long would not suit Mr. Aiken. bottlecap, where in the heck did you find a Ninja banana? Do I even want to know?
  9. I missed out on the AI2 Tour as well, but I do have a few favorite clips. For some reason, I love Pitt Ovation, Pitt Invisible, and Pitt TITN which includes Kim's intro. I don't know if it's where the videographers were sitting, but the crowd noise is amazing. After Invisible, they just kept screaming and screaming. He was trying to talk and at one point he, he almost gives up. He's smiling, shaking his head, blushing, and looking astounded all at the same time. During his TITN intro the place just blows apart and the energy never lets up. It's kind of Beatle-esque in that the crowd is almost louder than the song. It's good video too -- they were far up so they go between the jumbotron, the stage and the crowd. He looks gorgeous and the crowd shots are amazing. The Flyers jersey was really hot on him. And I hates the Flyers. As a Caps fan anything Flyers is supposed to be choke-worthy. The first OMG Invisible is a must. The video that launched many a sleepless night. It seems to be the light bulb moment that was "Look what we can do!" for the Internet fan base. I literally read hundreds of posts over the years about how it was that video that had people going to the tour, buying cameras, booking airplane tickets and turning them from a supporter on his AI season into all round fangirls. Pretty amazing for something that's only two minute and thirteen seconds long.
  10. bottlecap, that would be Shane McGowan. I have to admit, I don't know the first thing about him, lifestyle-wise. I do like the Pogues, but not as much as U2. The Pogues are so much more rooted in the Celtic sound. Couch Tomato - I also like the Wilkes Invisible. It just brings a big smile to my face. And what the heck was unprofessional about it? Underwear and other stuff was coming at him from all directions. Come on, people. The man has a sense of humor and knows how to use it. When there's laughter and playing around on stage, I find it really endearing and funny. It's enjoyable for me to watch Clay having a blast. Actually, it's pretty enjoyable for me to watch Clay doing just about anything. Is it May yet?
  11. Oooh! Oooh! Oooh! Dreads! I love, love, love dreads! But I don't watch CSI. Do they ever have shows where no one gets killed in an icky way? ... Didn't think so. If we start on the sports world, I might need twenty men or so. Like that's a bad thing. That's all I got.
  12. Oops. Heh. Okay. From top left, going right: Clay, John Cusack, Bono, Bradley Whitford (West Wing), Ed Harris (I find him sexy. From The Right Stuff to The Truman Show to Pollock. What can I say?), David Bowie, John Lennon, Bruce Springsteen, Eric Clapton, Patrick Dempsey (Grey's Anatomy), Clay and Clay. For the musicians, I've seen them all play with the exception of Lennon. I was too late; at the height of Beatlemania I was 6. But his death still saddens me deeply. As to the others, I think their on stage personas have a lot do with how much I like them. I was meh on Bruce until I saw him in concert. Then holy crap. The man stayed on stage for 4 1/2 hours. No opening act. He played, rocked and sang himself down to his knees. When Clay has enough albums under his belt (hee), hopefully he'll do the same. Which will bring me to mine. I saw Bowie in 2004 for the third time. The man is prime at fifty-something and performed harder and better than the earlier concerts I saw. Delayed peaking, I guess. I still want my 12 men. Either that or I'll have to switch Dempsey out for Naveen. And the old movie pictures have me thinking of Olivier in Wuthering Heights. Also his Mr. Darcy. Crap. Men are gooood, aren't they? This is like a really cool cyber pajama party. We need a Ouija board.
  13. Couch Tomato: I want to marry the Oprah IWCY, especially the "Home." I could live with it forever, but might occasionally have to do wild things with BFM. That's a great playlist. Yes, I'm going to copy you. Last night I found great ways to rev up the Clay love. I watched that IWCY performance, Brianna & Clay in Raleigh, the 'Or State' WDC, the confusion and screaming of the first Kyrie entrance, a series of Happy Togethers with lots of headlocking-nosepinching-micfighting and The Standard interview. Now I'm in overdrive and need an intervention. bottlecap - Ha! Ha! (TM You know who.) Throws bottlecap a Pogues CD. Have fun!
  14. What a fun idea! I haven't looked at other responses because I want to be surprised. Well, first I had to go looking for photos because the only pictures I have are of Clay. So after Google imaging for a bit, I made a group picture of my guy list. Just going on instinct and my gut, these are the men I have a reaction to whenever I see or hear them (hearing includes interviews.) Visceral (linking beacuse it's big, almost wallpaper size. You might want to zoom.) There are extra of Clay. Just because I needed to balance the collage, really! And since I have all these pictures ... Then, for me, there's one guy who's in a category all by himself. One day when I was in the 5th grade, I was home sick. I spent the day on the couch watching TV. An old movie came on and at the age of ten, I fell in love. Fell hard. As always with first loves, he stays special. At the time it never occured to me that in real life he was older than my grandfather. But even when I realized that, it didn't matter. I have more of his movies on tape or DVD than any other actor. That first movie I saw way back when was "The Awful Truth." Gawd, I still love to watch him. My First Love Back to look at lists and pictures. I only keep pictures of Clay though. Am still right clicking almost every day. What is it with that? ETA -- Gah. The pics posted of Blair and Naveen! May I have twelve men? Please? Kind of like my own jury or something.
  15. Just dropping in to say hi and catch up on the thread. Sure glad I did. I was wondering about that over 18 thing I was getting at YouTube last week. And it was for something majorly benign, so I was really confused. Reminded me of when I saw that the Singapore MOAM had a parental advisory. I never did get that either. I did sit and giggle last night at the CH, since I like it when the fun comes out and people start to play. One of these days maybe I'll learn how to smut too, but so far it ain't happening. Well, not at the CH anyway. I've been watching AI the easy way -- wait for downloads and skipping the rest. Yay for no commercials! And the best of all? No friggin' theme song! I've come to hate hate hate that thing. I go into automatic recoil when I hear it. Now that there is a Top 12, I may surrender, tape it and FF through all that other mess. Mess is defined as anything being shown where someone is not actually singing. I figure I can watch an episode in about 15 minutes. I do like Chris. I think he's the best guy they've got. But read about him? Nah, don't have that much interest. I only seem to want to do that for Clay. This past summer I had five people I had never even laid eyes on staying at my house for the JBT (Wolf Trap.) If someone had told me a few years ago I'd be opening up my home and filling all my beds and sofas for three days with folks I'd met on the internet, I would have pronounced them insane. No, I can't imagine this type of phenomenon happening to me again.
  16. The Promosquad discussions are making me smile. The MSNBC list too. It feels like we're gearing up and doing our warmup exercises. I like it! Guess it's about time I joined Promosquad too. Or maybe it's a rejoin. Isn't it sad that I can't remember? I guess I went to too many sites in 2003 and 2004. Gee. Wonder why?
  17. Heh. My work here is done. playbiller - thank you for the YouTube list. That makes it a lot easier. BTW, have you posted a pic of your dog? I've been following the training comments with interest and am so curious. I have a big soft spot for doggies, even those with a bit of mischief in their hearts. Maybe even more so. Mine can unlock doors. Takes the thing in the doorknob in his teeth, turns it ever so gently and then goes on his merry way. If he ever figures out deadbolts, I'm sunk. Speaking of YouTube -- A neighborhood teen walks him on my longer work days. She's the sweetest thing. The other day she stopped by to show me one of her YouTube movies. She and her younger sister filmed themselves in ninja mode going at a snowman with a sword, all set to music by System of a Down. I commented that at least they didn't throw in any ketchup. "Gee," she said, "Why didn't we think of that?" Yes, she's a dear. Uh, no -- she's not really a fan of Clay's. They do kind of have a hair thing in common; I never know what color she's going to have. This week it's reddish-orange and corn rowed. Seriously, I love this kid. Off to bed now. But must check the blog first, just to be sure. It's a sickness, y'all. Happy Valentine's Day!
  18. Bolded mine - Bwah! Now that's a Lost fan! I'm catching up from the 9th. You guys had a great day on the 10th! Hee. This was one of the first of many lovely, lovely scenarios and I am tha-rilled to see y'all keeping it up. You're making me happy. bottlecap - I love your Oprah show. That could happen. Well, it could. Just saying hi. Don't really have much -- just a little weary of all the panic buttons going off. The Momma stuff really skeeves me out sometimes. I'm afraid that one night I'm going to have a nightmare that the entire Clay Nation is trying to collectively breastfeed him. That would end my quest to remain sane, I just know it. That particular quest has its own problems anyway. So I re-read the N&O article, watched a few NAT clips and the siren sounds died down. I'll just stay sitting here in my flannel and fuzzy slippers, the day after getting 14 inches of snow, and keep on chillin'. Literally.
  19. I'm not much of a collector either. But I admit to a bit of script envy on that Fantasy episode. I would have loved to have been able to go after the Scrubs one. I really like Zach Braff and love Garden State, which I've watched a gazillion times. I guess the oddest thing to me is that I bought Ruben's Rolling Stone. Why? Because it contains this little part: "In walks Clay Aiken. His eyes twinkle even when his brow is furrowed." Also the two paragraphs on the tie-tying ritual. I think it's where it first showed up: ""Ruben, I need you." Studdard glances up, and without a word hoists himself up from the couch, stands face to face with Aiken and carefully knots Aiken's purple tie like a helpful older brother. This happens every night." And so on to Clay explaining the ritual. But I probably would have bought it for the eye twinkle part alone. I have rarely looked at EBay, maybe not at all in a year or so. Maybe I should check it out more often. On second thought, thinking of my poor bank account -- maybe not! Have a good Monday, all!
  20. Re Jerome -- It does give a whole new meaning to "I got your back" doesn't it? I'm still looking at that picture since it makes me smile so. And for some reason I got a bit of a laugh out of the PR person thinking Alison was Clay's Mom. Well, they are both redheads so I guess it's understandable. Still made me giggle a bit. Since I found out the pics were sent to the ususual suspects (People, EW, etc) I haven't given up hope either or both will be published. I wonder if they sent a copy to the pub house that owns TV Guide? They sure do seem to like them some Clay Aiken. I got a kick out of the boombox photo. Quirky. I like Quirky! Clay! But then I pretty much like quirky period. Once someone gets to know me, it becomes readily apparent why. I can see Kimmel pulling the giraffe out on his next guest appearance and asking "What were you thinking?" leading into a nice, fun and teasing banter between the two. (Come on, new album promo appearances! Or any appearance. I'm not picky. It's only been a week and I miss the guy. I am so pathetic.) Have a happy Thursday, everyone!
  21. ldylocelyn: Well okay! *waves* And couchie, I too watched March of the Penguins over the holidays. I thought it would be a good holiday movie. Uh -- I guess it is if I wanted to sob for about an hour. Goodness I guess I didn't think about the possible perils of nature parts, huh? So no Clay thoughts. Thankfully that was soon taken care of by the appearance of the Giraffe picture with which I am hopelessly in love, and then the Gregory Hug from the last concert which has kept me busy nursing my exploding ovaries. Seriously; I made an appointment. Oh and then watching the included Bugs Bunny cartoon helped too. (Geez, I love Chuck Jones.) As for the BG rollercoaster picture, I just keep looking at it so I can crack up from seeing Jerome's face. Hi, Skatejoy! It's so good to see you! I don't know about the withdrawal part, but the videos will warm the cockles of your heart well into spring. Don't be afraid! It's all quite lovely. Now some of the recent montages, on the other hand -- those you should be scared of. bottlecap, I'm glad you have Pedro love. As for me, ever since I saw the dancing penguins in Mary Poppins when I was about nine, I've loved the little guys. So Clay can keep his giraffe. I hope they'll be very happy together and that he's building high ceilings in Raleigh. Happy New Year, everyone!
  22. I didn't even know FCA had a forum. I have the directory part bookmarked and use it to link around all the time. So how could I not know this? How slow am I? (Don't answer that...) Anyway, I love FCA - love! If anyone ever asks me about Clay, I just tell them to type 'Finding Clay' in Google. And then just hit that first result and go from there. So. Hi guys. Happy New Year! (And yes, I'm still goopifying over last night's concert.) Oops. Forgot to throw in my board affiliations. The CH and WMS. Back in '03 I started at TTC (which is how I ended up going over to WMS) and the Clayboard, because I found them first when I did an internet search. Then I became more of a lurker on TWoP and that's how I found The ClackHouse. That pretty much sums it. As to what makes me, me - how about I get back to you on that one? (A mind going blank is a terrible thing...) Oh, I know! I got one -- I like parentheticals! Hee.
