Time out for one tiny poor.me.whine. I took my DH to the airport this morning. I helped him drag his duffels that held his clothes, a combat helmet, a flak jacket and a kevlar vest. Also his dental records. He's going to be on the other side of the world where bad things happen to Americans, and I won't see him again until November, at the earliest. So I was feeling kinda sad this morning.

Until I heard the big news!! I wish every joy to Clay and Jaymes, and little Parker. What a wonderful blessing for all of them.

I believe that all babies are miracles, but some births are a bit more miraculous than others. I know that Clay believes in Divine Providence, but in this case he must also believe that God helps those who help themselves. I am so thrilled that something they both obviously wanted very badly has had such a wonderful outcome.

You know, life takes some pretty unexpected twists and turns sometimes. Five years ago neither my husband nor I would have pictured him working in such a hostile environment and spending such long periods away from home. But life doesn't always go the way we plan.

Five years ago Clay probably did not envision that he would become a father in quite this way. But I am very happy for him that he was able to make that dream come true with someone so incredibly dear to him. Because he refused to comment when the news was leaked, I felt pretty sure that it was true. But I figured that he wasn't going to comment even if they held a gun to his head until that baby was safely born. Tempting fate indeed. I think having Faye call Linda Loveland was the perfect media contact. I think that Clay's blog was timely and perfect.

It has quite a bit of a take-it-or-leave-it tone to it.....but done very nicely. He invited all the fans to share in his joy and excitement. If anyone didn't want to....their choice. But it was clear that he didn't plan to go into the why's and wherefore's. Good for him.

And congrats to Jaymes and Clay!!!!!!!!!!!! What a wonderful accomplishment for the two of them!!!!!!!!

The videos were up temporarily as we relived the AI2 season. I can't house them at all times as I would put FCA at risk. They really practice due diligence about shutting down websites that host this material.

So, does this mean that the episodes are no longer available?? Or is there a way to get them privately??

Lynn hit the nail right on the head...b/c Season 2 is the ONLY finale that I DON'T have on video...and this was my FAVORITE season!!!!

The Vegas show was called Ruben Studdard and friends - so I would say he was the headliner.

I just got a copy of WTWNN from e-bay (well, I was not into buying things during the show, but was immediately after). The cover came cracked - so..... I am playing it. In it, there is the version with Ruben, Clay and Rickey only and the voices meld so beautifully, Ruben has that rich tone and his falsetto is even pleasant - Rickey is a little shrill in a few places, and, of course, Clay is perfect. Anyway, this song made me sad, considering the stuff Ruben used to sing vs what he is singing on Promosquad. I guess he is young and wants to sing what people are listening to today and not just be an AC singer and, of course, the songs are not in thier final version from Promosquad. I do admit I marked them as like it - it sound so much better than what they used to sned me before (I get no music now)

Sorry didn't ask earlier, but I was watching The Best of American Idol Seasons 1-4 & I'm on the season review of 2! I just got to the part where Ryan is announcing Clay's got the final spot in Top 12! And when they pan over to the shot of his friends, I'm assuming one is Nick but not sure who the girl is! I'm guessing it would be either Amanda, Angela, Amy, Meredith or Kristy right? Could someone possibly help me out here, please?

Aw, Phooey! I would've put everyone's performances (Good or Bad) from Top 8 down to Top 2! I've got the audio stuff from auditions to Top 9 of my favs! Like I stated when I posted here LT, I was trying to get the "Dynamic 4's!" Idol performances (CR, JG, KL & CA)! And now that we're all done reviewing the shows, I had hoped the admins would've added more audio! Just out of curiousity, how did y'all find get the vids/audio originially & would there be any possiblity that I could DL the performances on my own time?

Hey Ladies!

Does ANYONE remember the songs covered in the season 2 judges medley? I remember 3 of 'em... Mr. Clay singing "Hello." Miss Kimberley singin' "Midnight Train To Georgia" (W/ Charlie, Ruben, & Rickey acting like Pips), & Mr. Ruben singin' "The Tears Of A Clown" (B/C I remember the silly hand wave they all had to do). However, I NOT remember the other songs that were covered. I'm asking b/c I'm tryin' to get the original songs by the original artists & I'm concentrating particularly hard on Mr. Clay, Mr. Joshua, Miss Kimberley & Miss Carmen. The rest I'll get too later... No offense to those of ya who like everyone else better. It's like I said earlier, those 4 were my favs... If someone could help me out, I'd appreciate it very much!

OK, Girls!

I can honestly say I didn't start watchin' AI 2 until Neil Sedaka week & I was very impressed with Clay & Kimberley! These two have ALWAYS been my favs from then 'til now! I heard Paula mention the other night that "this is the best top 12 we've ever had!" NOPE! In my opinion, the best top 12 was season 2! No offense to the others! Personally, I think Miss Frenchie would've made it all the way had she not done what she did! She, Kimberley L., Carmen, Josh & Mr. Clay were BIG TIME POWERHOUSES! MAN OH MAN! Every time I watch my AI Best of 1-4 I get VERY UPSET B/C OF WHAT HAPPENED IN SEASON 2! And every time I tell myself, "ya can't change the past!" I'm sorry but America got it WRONG! Personally, I think it should've been a showdown between K. Lo & Mr. Clay! I think if that would've happened, he would've won! Anywho, I'll get off my soapbox now! I was just wonderin' how ya can watch all this stuff again b/c all I've seen when I'm online are the audio clips from the shows, concerts, etc! I was wondering if y'all have DVD's/videos that I don't have! I've got Season 1 DVD but I HAVE NOT been able to find any of the other seasons!
