  1. I think it's safe to say that Ansa enjoyed the Toronto concert... she was ready to pass out after the first 5 minutes... ;-)
  2. Uhhhhh, I've totally missed the concert cellcert... I was away all day and it just occurred to me that I was missing it. Couchie puts me in charge and this is what she gets. I suck. Sorry! Hope the concert was great! Quick summary - Clay was cute. Clay was funny. Sing good, look pretty. The end. Hope that covers it. ;-)
  3. I have no time to write something completely original for this board, so I'm reposting my Toronto recaps from Best of Clay (there are two of them):
  4. I just got word from couchtomato that she's off to New Hampshire for the first of her New England/Atlantic City 5-fer... also, Ansa is still here in Toronto with limited computer access... Anyway, if anybody has any problems, please feel free to PM me and I'll do my best to help you... Now - Toronto recaps, coming up!
  5. Actually, as much as Jacob isn't my favourite (at all), I thought he killed on "Rock With You"...
  6. Okay... I really really suck at recaps because Clay has an effect on me of erasing my memory, but here goes my Darien Lake recap: I loved the show. Love love love love LOVED it. It was more like a musical review than a concert. I thought it was put together brilliantly and I don't know exactly who is responsible for it - Michael Orland or Clay himself, but whoever put together this show did one kick ass job. My favourite part by far was the Elvis segment. I have never been a huge Elvis fan (considering I was only 3 yrs old or so when Elvis died), but I have always been fascinated by Elvis (I even went to the "Elvis-O-Rama" in Las Vegas a few years ago)... Clay channeled Elvis SO BRILLIANTLY. The hips shakes made my knees just lock and nearly fall over... I had to grab sapphire to keep myself steady. I used to laugh and laugh when I saw those old news reels that showed Elvis or Beatles fans screaming and crying because I could never understand why a woman would do that. To understand me, you have to know that I am NOT emotional at all. I never cry (except maybe at movies or long distance commercials).... but when Clay did the hip shake during the Elvis set, I literally SCREAMED out loud and tears sprung to my eyes. I am officially the biggest dork that ever lived. But I am proud! Clay IS Elvis, y'all. He really is. What else can I tell you about the concert? The rest of it was great. I just loved the way it was put together. I love "Back for More" and it is totally in my head right now which I think is a good sign (I really really really hope this is his first single from his new album). I loved the 80s part where he keep having to pull up his pants... hee! He had the appropriate costume on and everything - the ripped jeans - but they were too big for him and he kept pulling up his pants... I had to laugh. And the "Living La Vida Loca" part was PERFECT. I heard about this beforehand and I thought - "how on earth is Clay going to pull this off?"... but he TOTALLY did. I loved every minute of it. Anyway, next Monday (in Vienna) cannot arrive soon enough. I just love that guy. He is so talented and so funny and so smart. I just want to love him and squeeze him and call him George.
  7. You might not, Ansa, so make sure you've made out your last will & testament... ;-) I will write a proper recap later (although I warn you - I really suck at writing them and I can barely remember anything - exposure to the Aiken erases the memory), but it probably won't be till later (like late tonight or even tomorrow night - I'm kinda busy here at the hotel)...
  8. Okay, I'm finally back from JBT at Darien Lake... (Skatejoy, Buzztechie, sapphire & diamondjake2001 and I got TOTALLY lost on the way home) Anyway, here is my recap: GAAAAAAaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhh!!!!! *falls over* I so don't feel guilty anymore that I'm going to 3 more... Clay is awesome.
  9. Okay, I'm going to be a while in compiling the songs cuz I really need to go pack now... if any other mod wants to take a crack at it, go for it! Just hit edit - I think it'll work for a mod just not for a regular poster...
  10. Shut UP! Is he doing the Hammer Dance too?
  11. Jerome was listed in the program as "security", so I'm sure he is somewhere...
  12. I LOVE DAYDREAM BELIEVER!!!! EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!
  13. Okay, this is too darn fast... I'll compile the list in the set list thread as soon as the concert is over... I will read through this thread and get it all... As long as you name the songs as they are sung, I'll compile the set list later...
  14. I am right now (assembling the list of songs)
  15. It's starting! EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!
  16. Forgive me for being clueless, but what is a Wurlitzer?
  17. Happy birthday, KAndre! If I could add rows and rows of dancing bananas for you, I would (even though Ansa and couchtomato might kill me)... hee hee hee.
  18. That's what I figured HotMom... oh well! Maybe I can swing down to Buffalo/Niagara Falls if I have the time (and somebody's doing one there)... we'll see.
  19. That wasn't really much of a search... that was just an accident by squeakyclean of the CH who saw Clay pictures on her site, looked in her directory and was like - what the heck is THAT?!? I was on CH exactly when she posted it and I went into Mezghan's directory to check it out myself, so to this day, I still don't understand why people say it's fake... it be real, folks. (That being said, I certainly do not want to start up that debate here... at ALL.) I recognize one of the women in the vacation shots as Mary Brennan, but I don't recognize the others... probably just friends of his from NC...
  20. Hee. I'm an okay wrapper myself... it's too bad they don't do this in Toronto or I'd volunteer, although maybe they do and I've just never heard... I'm pretty dense sometimes... ;-) Does anybody know where they organize this and where you can look into it? Is there a website? I just always figured that the laws wouldn't allow for an American charity to raise money in Canada... and they probably won't allow that... however I'm sure there's some way around it... I think a Canadian handles Penny Lane...
  21. My keychain is still going strong after 8 months almost... you must've gotten a bad one... or you whack yours around more! ;-) Aw, Clay did update his blog again - he wants to know who's coming to GMA! Here are some screencaps from the Access Hollywood preview (not sure where they came from originally, but I got them on CH): Clay looking mighty fine while rehearsing More Clay rehearsing - is that a LEISURE SUIT!? BWAH!!! Clay talking to the reporter
  22. Oh nifty! I do have one thing to say though... please please please don't let this be the first single in the same vein as "Backstreet's back! Alright!"... hee hee hee. ;-) Let it be about anything else...
  23. BWAH!!! You're right... and we all know that Clay has said he wants to have children, so...
