I hope it goes well!!! 🙏🏻

Good luck to Clay and the whole crew in Pittsburgh 🙂

Im going off grid for the week, up on the Canadian border to camp. Save some good Drowsy stuff for me! If I hit some WiFi, I’ll check in. I wonder why yesterday’s interview doesn’t show up on that link above (bubba show podcast)? Plz send along if u can ..thx ❤️

Will do!  It may not be at that address, but someone at CV said they are working on audio, and I will make sure you get it!

Have fun!  Sometimes it's good to be off the grid...

I'm going to summarize here what happened yesterday with Clay and Drowsy, in hopefully general terms.

Clay was out for yesterday afternoon's performance, due to COVID protocols.  However, there was a bunch of mixups involved with this, and eventually Clay was cleared to perform last night, with just minutes to spare. I am not positive, but I do believe he's performing both shows today, which is the final for this run.

Sounds like it was a MESS.  To use Clay's phrasing...bless their hearts.

luckiest1 from CV allowed me to post her recaps from this weekend.  She was able to see him several times over the weekend, including the last two performances yesterday.

Clay was fantastic in todays matinee performance. Our seats (row DD) turned out to be front row on the right side!!! Best view ever. He actually crossed the stage a lot and his expressions are hilarious. He ad libs something different in every show. This afternoon at the beginning, when he asks if anyone remembers the Drowsy Chaperone play, a few of us said yes and he said something like I knew eventually youd say yes!.

We attended last nights show. Sorry we didnt report in sooner. We had 3rd row balcony seats. After two shows down close to the stage, I really missed being able to see all of Clays expressions. But we got a nice overview of the whole stage and noticed a lot of little things with the set and supporting cast that we had overlooked before. Clay, of course, was brilliant. The audience just eats him up. I cant say enough about his comedic timing. When he was mopping the stage after the spit take scene, and explaining the similarities of pornography and musical theatre, it was fairly quiet but I guess one man down close reacted, and clay pointed at him and said he knows. 😂

My favourite numbers are the Toledo Surprise when Clay dances, and the Monkey on a Pedestal when he shadows the bride, mouths the words and sings a couple of them. And the end, after the power goes out and the super comes to fix it. You can hear a pin drop while he is so sad, despairing about everything, and then starts to quietly sing a few of the lyrics, until the cast comes back to life and Robert Martin offers him his hand and Clay jumps up. He makes me tear up every time, he is so convincing!

You know, last week on the way here I thought four shows might be overkill, but now I wish there were more. I am so glad I came and I cant thank Clayitagain enough for getting us such great seats. She and Claymatron and I have had such fun (barring those few crazy hours on Saturday during the clusterf***). The Drury is such a great hotel, this is my second time here (first was Grease) and I hope Clay didnt burn any bridges so he can come back for another production next year. I think he shines on the stage.

ETA: last night the bed got stuck after the scene with Adolpho and the Chaperone. Clay tried to lift it but had to abandon it and continue on with his lines. The actors eventually got up and ad libbed their way off stage. We were laughing so hard. 🤣

Well, of course I had to go back and listen to the Frum podcast. Yep haha

one of the best!

My son just texted me that Howard Stern wants to run (for Prez) in 2024... jeesh, don’t know if I should laugh or cry. I’ll do both 😭

Geez, now I've got to go back and relisten to the Frum podcast again.  Oh, the torture.

I do wish he'd pick up the podcast again, but I'm really not sure he wants to return to it again.  I just hope that whatever he finds next...he's happy.

It’s sad that we have to worry about going out to attend an event with our community. Sad that I actually thought about that happening today as I stood with my little granddaughters.. because I seriously did. So shocked when I got home to see that it did happen. A tragedy that must be stopped 😢

I hope we all can keep the patriotism in our hearts.. because we must! 🇺🇸

Watching a Capitol 4th and wishing Clay would sing
