Christmastime

You'll hear the sound of angels....

Christmastime is here

---

She leaned with her head on the window

Watching evergreen bend in the snow

Remembering Christmas the way it had been

So many seasons ago.

I just love how Clay is singing this song this tour!

There's something a bit different (IMO) and I just adore it!

---

May the joy of the season surround you!

Merry Christmas, with looooooooooveeeeeeeeee

*sigh* he's in majorly fine voice tonight.

Tommy's at the door.

Clay's voice sounds as rich and full as I have ever heard it. I just love how this show is allowing us to hear that voice in such pure perfection - it gives me chills.

From CB:

The crowd is really enjoying the comical aspects of the vignettes. I'm hearing lots of laughter.

Sleigh Ride! The angels are inspiring a little fun!

---

Come on it's lovely weather for a sleigh ride together with you!

Giddy yup giddy yup

There's a birthday party

at the home of Farmer Gray

It'll be the perfect ending a perfect day

We'll be singing the songs

I spent too many years watching muppets. I alwasy hear that as

There's a birthday party

at the home of Fozzie Bear.

---

Jingle Bells

From CB:

Season for Romance

I'm hard-pressed to pick a favorite - because they're all favorites for a diffferent reason.

But Season for Romance is just special!

Clay's voice at its most pure.

She smiles at him, he says, "Hello"

They stand beneath the mistletoe

Embarrassed by the awkward circumstance

He asks her if she’d like a drink

She says, "I better not I think

Oh, what the heck, maybe just one glass"

They talk about, oh, this and that

He says, "I like the way you laugh

And I’m so really glad you’re here"

---

Random...It has been reported that Bob and Linda are in attendance at tonight's concert.

---

Season for Romance - this part is so sweet. I love the look he gets on his face when he pulls the Christmas ornament out of his pocket and puts it on the tree. Clay must be a really romantic guy to write scenes like this. *sigh*

---

Oh it'll get you if you give it half a chance!

So am I the only sap who always thinks that applies to this show too?

It's sure got me!

From CB:

From now on our troubles will be miles away.

Hang a shining star upon the highest bough

and have yourself a merry little Christmas now

oh I love how he hushes his voice over some lines.

---

It's that time of year

When the world falls in love

Ev'ry song you hear seems to say

"Merry Christmas, May Your New Year's Dreams Come True"

---

Me too - was there ever any doubt? Nope! I feel like this Christmas show is a gift from Clay. I treasure it. Its definitely one of my favorite Clay tours, and I haven't even been to it yet. Can't wait!

---

Audience is roaring with laughter at the coming in second lines!

From CB:

The Christmas Song! One of my very favorites! I grew up listening to Nat King Cole singing this song - but now all I can hear in my head is Clay singing it. That's what happens when Clay sings a song - he makes it his.

---

The Christmas Song

He holds the audience spellbound ....and then the silence explodes into appreciative applause!

Angela's up now. I always know the first half is almost over when I hear her sing. It goes so fast each night.

She sounds lovely tonight. I love the slow/soft opening of this song.

-----

Angela - I Miss You Most At Christmas Time. She's sounding fine

----

CELEBRATE ME HOME

Is it possible to wear out an ipod from replaying one song so much?

Loving sentimental, growly Clay.

Posting the lyrics because I'm not going to be much use reporting through this song:

Celebrate Me Home

From CB:

Play me one more song,

That I'll always remember,

and I can recall,

whenever I find myself too all alone,

I can sing me home.

These lyrics just tug at the heartstrings. I bet Clay has felt this way a few times over the past three years. He sings the song with such longing.

---

he added some great vocal riffs at the end of CMH...

From CB:

Second half is starting. O Holy Night - a little piece of what heaven must be like.

---

Intermission is over

O Holy Night

another of my favorites

Clay's voice on this transcends any version I've ever heard

---

O Night Divine!!!!!!! We're enjoying about 40 divine nights this season thanks to Clay.

O Night - O Hoooooooooly Night! O Night Divine!!!!

---

faaaaaaaaaalllll on YOUR knees

Oh hear the angel voices

goosebump time

O holy Night

O night divine.

Tommy is reading

O holy night,

O night divine

You can hear the angel voices

O holyyyyyyyyyyyyy

O holy night

O holy night diviiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiine

almost hushed at the end

nice applause

---

The First Noel - don't you all just love how he starts this song out so softly and tenderly and then builds up to the point where he completely blasts the stuffing out of it? I sure do!

---

Hark The Herald/O Come All Ye Faithful is one of my favorites on Clay's Christmas album. Its so great hearing him sing it live though, because of the extra little "The Loooorrd" he adds on at the end. That part always takes my breath away. Ummm....... yeah - he just did it again.

---

Jacob really does a nice job with Rejoice Rejoice Emmanuel. Its such a beautiful song!

---

Jacob singing Emmanuel.

Of all the songs Jacob has sung on all the tours, this is far and away my favorite of his performances

Quiana is up next

which means another show is almosts a wrap.

My Grown Up Christmas List

---

Beautiful Quiana singing her beautiful song!

---

Time for Clay's message about what Christmas means to him.

I sure am glad he likes Christmas so much!

Makes us very lucky since he loves to share his joyful noise.

---

Clay talking about what Christmas means to him. I think it is so cool he can voice his feelings like this, and that he talks about us being his blessings. That is really special.

The crowd goes nuts as he comes out.

---

Clay's talking to the audience now.

Talking about the importance of family.

Introducing the audience to the "family" on stage.

Felix, Daniel,

really boosting William Joseph - and his amazing talent

Andy ( I think his parents are there)

cellstream is getting garbled a bit so I can't get all thenames.

John Gregory, Allison

---

Talking about resolutions. Don't wait. You know the drill.

Don't Save it All For Christmas Day

Remember when we were hoping he'd include this on MCWL?

---

Not a whole lot of banter tonight, but its still great to hear his voice and that awesome laughter of his.

Don't Save It All For Christmas Day

---

DSIAFCD....lots of extra flourishes again...

---

OMG - The glory note went on for about a thousand years! Amazing!

---

Merry Christmas, Los Angeles

Long and very enthusiastic applause

and now the music for Good News is beginning.

---

How fitting is it that this show starts out with a story about guardian angels - and ends with a song about an angel bringning Good News! It really makes the whole show come full circle and wraps it up so beautifully. It certainly leaves the audience with the feeling that they have just spent time in the presence of angels.

Good News
