From CH and CB...pre concert report:

Venue floor is full, sides and back are filling rapidly. PreParty had about 80 reservations, but looked like about double that showed up!!!! This is an arena, but they are doing 1/2 house set up - so it looks like about 4400 seats since the arena holds about 9316 according to PollstaronLine.

form CH...between 1500 to 2000

very enthusiastic crowd...

Show seems to be running a bit late - hasn't started yet - but William Joseph finished abut half an hour ago.

From CB and CH:

Lights are dimming. Recorded message.

New recording. Emphasis a little different.

The holiday spirit is IN the air.

Christmas season starts RIGHT NOW!

----

rooster hair no haircut...

----

Christmastime is Here....... cellstream is a bit rough tonight.

---

MCML......stream getting better....... His voice is perfection tonight.....

---

Knock knock knock

I love the way we get to know Tommy's personality immediately with his impatient knocking.

She's not paying to heat the whole neighborhood!

What's the matter with you?

Excuuuuuuuuuuuuuuse me?

What's the matter with you, where's your Christmas tree?

---

You don't think my face needs ironing????

---

Audience reacting to scene......seem to be invested in the play.......

---

She hasn't tried to reach her son yet today so she's going to call.

Guess we know this part by now. Voicemail is full. Please try again later. Thank you for calling.

SLEIGH RIDE memories from back when she was a child.

Clay sounds totally wonderful!

---

These wonderful things are the things

We remember all through our lives.

Ain't it the truth?

and NOW the most fun rendition of Jingle Bells I've ever heard.

Jingle bells, Jingle bells

Jingle all the way

Oh what fun it is to ride in a one horse open sleigh, Hey!

Jingle bells, Jingle bells

Jingle all the way

Oh what fun it is to ride in a one horse open sleigh

On Dasher, On Dancer, On Prancer, On Vixen

On Comet, On Cupid, On Donner, On Blitzen

Put on your bells, your Christmas bells

Come on, we're going for a sleigh ride

Christmas time is here again

Come on, we're going for a sleigh ride

To spread good cheer again

From the top of the chimney to the top of the wall

Dash away, dash away, dash away, all

repeat chorus

Old Saint Nickolas, he took a flight

The moon was shining bright

Bring out the bells

Ol' Saint Nick was riding through the sky

You should have seen those reindeer fly

Bring out the bells; it's a holiday season

Bring out the bells, it's a happy time

Bring out the bells, we've got a good reason

To ring the bells and hear those pretty bells chime

---

Jingle Bells - I just love Clay's fun filled happy version of this song!

---

Cellstream reporter is sitting in front of friends/relatives of William Joseph. They were saying that when WJ was on tour with Josh Groban, he had to drive his own van and had to sleep on a mattress in the back. Apparently things have improved considerably on the Clay Aiken Tour......since WJ is on one of those huge busses.

I cannot imagine what that must have been like......

Back to your regularly scheduled concert.......

From CB:

Crowd totally loved that!

She doesn't HATE Christmas; she just doesn't enjoy it as much when there's no one to celebrate it with.

looking at all the photos on the wall

Time to make some cookies....but first he sees the picture of the Christmas cookies and we get to hear Clay sing the wonderfully tender and romantic SEASON FOR ROMANCE.

She smiles at him

He says hello

They stare beneath the mistletoe.......

---

Season For Romance..............He says, "I love the way you laugh, and I'm so glad you're here." Love's the reason for romance.........oh........it'll get you......if you give it half a chance.

*sigh*

It's so sweet to hear Clay's beloved voice coming through my headphones. He sounds wonderful!

---

Have yourself a merry little Christmas

---

Man, his voice just DESTROYS the cellstream each time he sings boooooouuuuughhhhhh!

---

Crowd totally appreciates the coming in second.

She delivered the "I forgot he didn't win line really well tonight!

City sidewalks, pretty sidewalks dressed in holiday style.

Silver bells

----

I think this crowd is going to blow the roof off with their cheering about the coming in second place bit!

Silver Bells - In the air there's a feeling of Christmas! Yes there is, thanks to Clay!

From CB:

Angela singing now. I Miss You Most at Chrismas time

---

Clay has me spellbound when he sings the Christmas Song - oh wait, that happens whenever he sings any song.

---

CELEBRATE ME HOME......

OMG......

---

It ain't regular church. A musical and Tommy is the narrator.

And Clay is about to knock us all out with Celebrate Me Home.

Good thing intermission comes next to give us time to recover.

Home for the holidays.

I believe I've missed each and every face.

Come on and play my music,

Let's turn on every love light in the place.

It's time I found myself,

Totally surrounded in your circles

Whoa, my friends

Please celebrate me home.

---

Socks report - orange with dark blue stipes.

Intermission report:

major rooster hair... major stubble...looks gorgeous

Voice really strong...not as reserved as Denver....

falsetto stunningly gorgeous...wonderful growl...much stronger than before...

caused a lot of swooning

INTERMISSION is over. O HOLY NIGHT now.

---

The second half is starting. Everyone brace yourselves - we're about to get blown away by Clay singing O Holy Night!

---

Deeee vine

In those days.....

Oh I love this part, this is where Clay makes this song his own!

What praise in his voice, you can just feel it!

Oh Holy night. Oh Night Divine! You can hear the angel voices!

Oh Holy night Oh Holy night divine!

Lots of cheering. Perfection.

---

TFN He sings this better in concert than on the cd. His voice is so pure and strong.

---

On a cold winter's night that was so deep.

Gentle vibrato on "noel, noel"

Clay makes this song new for me - so expressive.

And so it continues both da ay and night.

I think I stopped breathing whenever Clay sang in the second half!

---

The 2nd half of this is totally awesome. Song after song.

Great crowd response.

Peace on earth and mercy mild

God and sinners reconciled.

Clay's voice just sounds so strong over the cell phone. It brings back the feeling of being there. It really is hard to imagine how wonderful his voice is in person now, and how well the sound is blended for this show. This sounds great even in a less than perfect venue.

Come all ye faithful. Joyful and triumphant. Oh come ye oh come ye to Bethlehem

From CB:

Report from the cellstream. Clay just sang Emmanuel because Jacob hasn't been onstage the whole second half.

------

CLAY JUST SANG EMMANUEL - JACOB NOT ON STAGE SINCE SET STARTED...

---

Everyone who has been wanting to hear Clay sing Emmanuel - he just did.

Reporter says Jacob hasn't been on stage this set at all.

Wow, I was thinking I didn't remember hearing certain parts of it sung like that.

Mary Did You Know now.

---

Back to Emmanuel - you could just tell it was different - but the way Clay sang that last Rejoice. Oh wow - the word itself was a prayer.

---

MDYK ~ Was just on...sounded just beautiful. Thinking of you and how you love that song.!

---

Comment on Emmanuel: Clays interpretation was very different than Jacob's, although I love Jacob's. You could almost see Clay singing it in his mind when Jacob would sing. I hope Jacob is ok, but I'm glad Clay got the chance to let his version out.

~

So you don't think it's a kid's holiday anymore, huh?

Quiana. Uh, oh, here come my tears again.

I'm a grown up now.

Here's my lifelong wish

No more lives torn apart.....

---

Yea for Scarlett & Aflack!! Needum goodum clackum...

Please, Clay, don't catch anything, too.

From CB:

Clay said, "We decided to do something that was more like a Christmas event than a regular concert - and we hope it was as much fun for you as it has been for us."

He went right into the intros. Maybe we'll hear what happened to Jacob.

---

He certainly is chatty tonight

Talking about MCWL and how he sings it every holiday he has the chance and that he even did an album and named it Merry Christmas With Love.

Introducing Chanticleers

Don't wait until the holidays to spread the joy and the spirit that usually comes with the holidays.

---

DSIAFCD........

YOWZA!!

I couldn't hear the intros very well and didn't catch Jacob's name at all.

---

ots of applause. Iowa sure loves them some Clay!!!!!

TREMENDOUS SCREAMS.

WAVES OF SCREAMS.

Good News now...

An Angel brings Good News........

I'm in awe.....so beautiful!

Harmony sounds good.

Sound drifting away at times, but that voice is as strong as ever...

So soft, so reverent, truly the voice of an angel.
