Couch Tomato
Setting up the thread for tonight. I'll probably be a little bit late getting home..but have at it. Sing it boy!
bottlecap
William Joseph opening with Carol of the Bells. I'm cleaning up after mixing up some Christmas cookie dough (without angelic assistance, unfortunately), so I'm hopping back and forth between my kitchen and my laptop. bottlecap
The CV stream is kind of having quality issues tonight, so we'll have to see how that pans out. WJ playing Kashmir right now.
bottlecap
WJ doing his Clay spiel: "Clay told me 'You play whatever you want during your set, but I want you to know that I really like the song Homeward Bound'. " Glad that WJ caught the Aiken's subtle hint.

bottlecap
Hey, Ansa, welcome back! Hope you had a good time visiting your family. WJ got a good response at the end of his set, and we are currently in the intermission before Clay's part of the program.
bottlecap
Cellcerter estimating the venue is about 85% full. Seems to be starting a little bit late tonight. The Stub Hub people must be keeping Clay occupied. The audience is getting restless, and is starting to clap. Come on Clay! We're waiting here! playbiller
Hello everyone. Just made it. GBB is trying to start a rumor in the CH cellcert about Quiana leaving the tour because Clay sang MGUCL - troublemaker! bottlecap
An annoucement from the stage that they are having technical difficulties, and will be starting shortly. And then Clay's voice chimed in "Feel free to go to the merchandise stand." Hee!
bottlecap
Finally underway - opening camera announcement.
playbiller
Well they have tried 2 phones and it still sounds like the cert is underwater - bubble, bubble, bubble. But it is off and people were cheering.
bottlecap
Christmastime is here..... And from the Clackhouse, a link to a couple of photos from the Boston school visit today. Another familiar sweater. playbiller, hee! MCWL.
Couch Tomato
I made it home. 3 more days and I"ll be freeeeeeeeeeeeeee of the worst job in history. Anyway, cellstream is sucky tonight... But it's funny..I still don't turn it off. I remember one night the stream was underwater all night and then suddenly Good News came in plain as day! Since then I never give up. Way to sell that merchandise Clay!!
bottlecap
Opening dialogue: jingle bell knock, gasoline and onions, face needs ironing, etc. Hard to hear the audience on the stream, but they seem to be laughing appropriately.
playbiller
Well, it is getting a little better, but not much, so I will leave the point by point to Bottlecap.
FearofH2O
After GMA and TES I expected to hear mellow Clay, so SR and JB sounds different. I guess I can't adjust my ears that quickly.
bottlecap
"It's lovely weather for a sleigh ride together with you." Dude, I don't know what the weather's like in Boston, but here it's 18 degrees and dropping. Rosy cheeks? More like blue and frostbitten ones. Did I hear a horse noise or was I imagining things? "Dash Away All" Jingle Bells and all that jazz.
Couch Tomato
I really love this peppy Jingle Bells. Cellstream is getting a bit better! And the dialogue is coming in now.
playbiller
There is a horse whinny in the show <== should I spoiler this or is this a spoiler thread to begin with? I loved it when they changed tempo when I saw the show. Everyone was too mellow, it brought them sitting back up in their chairs. I think this Jingle bells is one of my favorites. djs111
Hello, my name is djs111 and I am addicted to cellcerts. The underwater ones still remind me of when we started doing them - crappy sound, but what a thrill! Isn't technology grand! Today Clay sang behind a glass window in New York, and I downloaded it from Canada (I think that is where the servers are?) to here in Florida, and then played it over the phone to provide instant gratification for someone in California! Clay's voice sounds very strong!
bottlecap
"Son don't come home; ain't no reason to hate Christmas" - that bit bugs me a little, and I don't think Gregory is very convincing on it. Looking at picture of Mr. Ledford - setting up for The Christmas Serenade.
FearofH2O
I love this section of the concert (Christmas Serenade). Its still two weeks before my first concert and this is the only song I always download.
playbiller
That video of GMA was amazing - I have no idea how they did it, finding a crack between people and focusing so well through the glass with reflection issues, etc. Really excellent version. Hey Fear, how is your ticket auction going? Edited December 7, 2005 by playbiller
bottlecap
Ornament and dancing dialogue, going into HYAMLC. Andy's guitar pretty prominent in the stream. Seems a little less melancholy than on the Early Show.
Couch Tomato
And thank you DJS for the cellcert - yes i"m the californian that couldn't wait 7 hours to hear MGUCL.... which reminds me...
