claygasm, totally get the rocking version of this. I understand. Love it. He wails.

Love the ooohh, ooooh, oooh at the end with the backing singers.

And the simplicity of the ending. So very nice.

I think more along the lines of his do goody two shoes..heee... songs like I will carry you..aren't overly christian but has that feel good theme to them.

claygasm, I know he doesn't HAVE to have a religious song on every album. But he talked about this album talking about all different kinds of love. Hence, my theory.

IWTKWLI -- man, I find this the weakest track on the album. Why? I think I was too attached to the original in this instance. I really wanted Clay to take this one to church, if you know what I mean. The original had that gospel chorus at the ending, and this just didn't give me that just by making it a duet.

I was really impressed on how Clay and Suzies vocals combine so perfectly. They are in total unison and it blows me away. Very powerful song to me. I really like it.

What's-her-head doesn't thrill me on this one (though I liked what she said about Clay). This sounds "thin" to me - especially compared to the original. I think Clay might have pulled this off better by his lonesome.

Their voices aren't merging for me.

But I love the way starts - Clay is almost speaking and sounds oddly intense...

Ok this is the song that most disappointed me...I felt like they were not really connecting emotionally and musically...now that I know that they recorded this seperately...I understand why.

I do like her voice...they do blend well.

Actually, in some ways, I think their voices are almost TOO perfectly matched. I would have liked a little more grit to her voice, to give some contrast to Clay's beautiful tenor, wailing away.

I'm usually really bad about hearing separate voices in duets - but they sound so very distinct to me. I want more of a counterpoint.

It seems that I have a 2 second issue with pretty much every song - the lead in instruments are just a tad to "much".

Much - a musical term to indicate that there is more emphasis on that part tahn it deserves.

this is my favorite of the clips...listened to it over and over and over and was so very much looking forward to it. but it didn't wow me like I thought it would. I love her voice. I love their voices together..but I think I was expecting too much or something... it's my no more sad song of ATDW.
