Ansamcw
DSIAFCD....a christmas concert staple...I don;t know if the recorded version has the excitement and passion the live version has.
KAndre
KAndre flings herself about, shrieking madly... No, no, no! This is my very favorite of all! I play it all the freakin' time! I love this song! Nope, but hardly any of his stuff compares to the live...but this is so pretty and clean and perfect!
ldyjocelyn
But remember the excitement when the record came out over this song, and the glory note? And I was one who didn't like the glory note on the record...hee. I much prefer the live versions of this...and the playful ways he would do "oh baby that's a fact..." Ansamcw
I usually prefer soft cool voice Clay that glory note Clay... but he just wails so well on this song that I can't help but get caught up in it.

Ansamcw
I was waiting for the falsetto...I loved the falsetto, I know not a favorite among the fans...but I loved it...

I play it all the freakin' time! I love this song! Well I'll fling around right beside you.... nothing is better than Clay live singing from his heart...and this is a message I know he could really get behind... but this is a wonderful version. This is another song I never heard before Clay. weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee glory note heaven. Love me some glory note Clay. I love the wailing too. ldyjocelyn
See? Hysterics work, people. BWAH! Where's the high find?!?!?! Oh yeah, live version. I actually really like the way he hits the glory note better in the live version...with letting the background singers hit the notes first before the key change. atinal
I love this. I love everything about it. Now, I kind of like the choir in this one. God, what a voice, oh I've said that already haven't I.
ldyjocelyn
Five minutes to next song! And I just changed my cellphone ringtone to this today.... Still kills me thinking about all his "oh, baby that's a fact" and then his cracking up afterwards. The screams that would get!
Ansamcw
But I am pretty impressed cos the live version is prett close to the recorded one...except for all the screaming...I mean with all the glory note and all. That is pretty tough to do cos this is such a difficult song to sing. I wonder if he will add this to the repertoire...

KAndre
Don't be so wishy-washy atinal! Now do you like it or not? This is one I love to sing aloud badly to... I though the original artist was Celine Dion, but I don't know where I got the info...I've never heard her version.

FearofH2O
Definitely a show stopper. I love the word hug when Clay says it. And ansa I also waited for the falsetto in concert. Loved it.

KAndre
Honestly, if anyone else was singing this song, I wouldn't listen to it. But man, Clay sings so very good (well?)....hell, pretty. I am so NOT sentimental...
ldyjocelyn
This one...I was not familiar with at all. This has could have gotten maudlin, IMO, but in Clay's hands, it's a very touching story. And making it the basis of the show last year just makes it even better for me now. Ansamcw
I don;t really like this song. One of the thing Clay and I never agreed with. I love the low notes but the high notes gets a bit whiny. He just had too many hard EEEEE's on this one. I do like the chorus when the girls join in. The theme...makes me cry...makes me think of my mom that is often without us, her family, at christmas.
Couch Tomato
I love this as well. Of course he based "the work" on this song. LOL... don't get me started. Anyway, I remember when the album first came out... I played the hell out of this song... another one I didn't know.
atinal
Well, we do get deep voiced Clay, that's good enough for me. Oh, what was that shudder that just went through me????
Ansamcw
I do agree ldyjocelyn...its didn;t become too maudlin in his version. I don;t even love this in concert...I don;t have this in my fave list. Its too bad..cos the low notes are pretty yummy
