I'm talking to heidi right now....

She feels terrible about his last few high notes....he just couldn't get them, especially in AIW. He looked to feel awful, according to her.

But she says he was so incredibly funny! He was really picking on that couple in front row.

She wants to put her hands through his hair. No surprise, eh? She says I'll be on the floor when I see it.

And with that I need to go to bed. 'Night all.

Ok, I'm back. :P She said it was just on those few notes...he tried on AIW, couldn't get it, tried again, and stil couldn't get it. She said she might be projecting, but she thought he looked so sad that he couldn't get the notes.

She has a suggestion: if you're a member of the fan club, go to the Waukegan thread and post some love. He'll probably be checking there tonight.

Waukegan thread

And now I'm REALLY leaving....

oh he'll be fine as time goes on and he gets used to singing again. If not, he'll change things up a bit. I don't want him to cut any banter because he is freakin' funny.

Other reports of pictures and video Clack, so we should be good.

What a night! I looking forward to doing some heavy-duty downloading tomorrow.

And I may hve scored a ticket to Williamsport!!

But..... I am being sensible. I will wait until tomorrow until the euphoria of listening to the first cellcert of the season wears off and I can think sensibly again.

But its a decent seat and its not too expensive and I have someone to ride with me...........

But I need to be sensible, so I will wait to decide.

But he better banter! He is sooooo funny!

Y'know...I am actually glad that the bauble happend tonight...this is like his dress rehearsal...and I wouldn't be surprised if part of that is actually jsut nervousness...Now that he actually baubled he can adjust and just get better.

I do hope he keeps that song cos he is so good on that song...

I am planning to wait for it tonight...

I can't wait to hear the banter. Sounds like he was in funny, funny form.

I'd also love to hear what the not.just.us crowd thought. Despite the imperfections, seems like it was a great way to start the season.

I am thinking this is really like his dress rehearsal...he had a few flubs..in endings and timing and he adjusted to that. The last note he did reach it...he hit it and the problem was sustaining the note...he tried twice and that is just great.

YAY Scarlett got he camera back...probably without the memory card.

Hee cellcerter said that he plugged everything but himself...which is nromal for him...

he really learned a lot of things about the community and the locals appreciated it.

Accoustic was good but not one of the best...not bad.

OK...I just hope they let us know if there will be clack tonight

So did everyone go to bed now?

I was thinking of trying to wait for Clack...but maybe thats not coming tonight...

It was great hearign how strong that voice was tonight.

i do think DSIAFCD...he had a lot of adjustment to do with this and I think thats why he baubled the end. There were parts that the back up usually sings and he had to sing...I think he just needed to adjust to the changes and I don't think its because there was soemthing wrong with his voice.

With AIW...I think its tough cos if he didn;t rehearse it he probably didn;t figure out what the limit of his voice will be. He talked a lot tonight and I think that will add to the strain of the voice. He also needs to know how to approach the notes...he will make adjustments.

I am looking forward to merrillville.

YAY Scarlett got her camera back...the tape was not erased...she got 22 minutes of the show...

EEEEEE

I'll probably check back for Clack in an hour or so.

I didn't listen to the cell stream, so I only know what I've read. However, it does seem that, for the most part, he did quite well. And we've all seen that he tends to get even better as a tour progresses.

I actually think this is the best I heard him on a first night performance. He usually is pretty tight and tentative on first night. Tonight...I think all the probelms are fixable...it will only get better and better

Um, the hair..... Did they go a little too crazy with the flat iron? It looks soooooooo flat and soooooooo straight!

And the suit - have we seen it before? it looks vaguely familiar.

The hair just needs some fluffing.

I volunteer! :D

Thought this was an interesting recap from Thankful4Clay at EAYOR:

Well, that was interesting. We had great seats. Very close to the stage. He was very cute and very funny but not in the best voice.

It was a very strange experience for me. First, it was weird having my husband next to me and watching him cringe when we would woot for Clay.

Second, Clay seemed out of his element. The show didn't have that polished feel that I'm used to. It was just a plain backdrop and it just felt weird. We were also way to the side to maybe that skewed my perception. It will be interesting to see the Clack from this concert.

I got audio of the whole concert, crappy video of most and some good video. I know that Spot was there, center aisle, so I'm sure she got some good stuff.

The last glory note was so painful. There was a lady in tears when I was leaving and I asked her if it was due to laughter. She was laughing because Clay almost did cough up a kidney trying to hit that note. Ouch!
