bottlecap
Pre-show from the CV Cellcerter: A couple of ushers have said it's a full house. (The venue has a 1,800 seat venue.) The cellcerter's hotel room windows look out over the street where the bus was parked at the venue, so they got to see Clay leave the bus and go into the venue this afternoon - still wearing the orange pajama bottoms and the hoodie from last night. He was escorted from the bus by Jerome and two security guards.
Couch Tomato
I've been listening to Clay all day...can't believe it's time for concert already.
bottlecap
The orchestra section has started - opening with a song the conductor wrote, per his introduction. Sounds vaguely renaissance-y over the stream.
Ansamcw
I know...been working on the tree and the decorations...I'm on a proper christmas mood.
bottlecap
I don't know if it's me or the orchestra, but I had to listen for a minute and a half before I could decide that they were playing Rudolph and not Frosty....Hee,

bottlecap
A kind of tuba-heavy ompah-version of Deck the Halls :bier:, segueing into some other Christmas tunes. Maybe it's because the horns are so prominent over the stream and I personally prefer strings, but I'm not particularly feeling this group tonight. Nutcracker stuff - March of the Toy Soldiers. The Hallelujah Chorus - this group is all over the place - like they threw a bunch of Christmas-related sheet music up in the air and put it together in random order. The Dance of the Sugar Plum Fairies now.

muskifest
Ok...I'll try this thread...anybody here? I'm in Ft. Lauderdale on the beach! My room's oceanfront---it's a big ass suite and I've got Clay on the Bose speakers but I need to get the cellcert going, don't I? Ooooh! OOOHHHH! Hi everybody! bottlecap
I didn't catch the name of the group, but when the conductor is speaking, he's so monotone, I expect him to bust out with "Bueller? Bueller? Bueller?" any second now. In ther words, the anti-Clay. Doing a relatively lively version of Carol of the Bells. It's at intermission already (7:33 EST), so Clay should be on maybe even before 8:00.

bottlecap
Are you hearing this banter about the Aiken Random Lyric Generator? Very funny! "Clay Aiken Hand over the mouth method." "It very effective for people who talk too much."
Couch Tomato
Told the story of Bridget -- how she told him he screwed up the song...and he told people number one rule in attending a Clay aiken concert..if you feel the need to tell me I forgot the words, or to shout out ...he encouraged others to use the Clay Aiken hand over mouth rule...or something like that..too funny...hope there is clack. The whole hand over mouth thing is a great way for him to tell the fans to shut the hell up and stop screaming inappropriately...but can they take the hint. bottlecap
I wasn't fast enough to recap this pre-MCWL banter, so I stole it from CV: talking about the rules now, and not knowing the words -- if I say Jesus somewhere, Mary (?) somewhere and Christmas somewhere and I'm good -- totally messed up the verses, I just kept going,
muskifest
I dont' think some fans would 'take a hint', even if Clay just came out and said, "Do NOT shout while I'm talking or singing. It's rude and annoying." Ok guys, seems room service is going to be almost an hour's wait so I'm gonna bow out of tonight's cellcert. I'm going to look around and see what kind of food I can find... Enjoy....
Couch Tomato
She can smell my breath but still using binoculars...he asked for the binocs...and says I want to see what you look like LOL to the men what happens in here, stays in here...nobody is going to go to your place of business and say I saw you at a Clay Aiken concert
