Hi Ladies !!!

I'm new here ..... heard about this great site from my friend pkmiller. Joined today so I could post the info about hotel arrangements for the Tulsa concert ..... EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE .... had to do that 'cause .... we get Clay !!

Hope this thread is the place for this info ....

Anyway here's the hotel info ..... pk will probably be letting you know about our party & answer questions as well & I'll be dropping back by too.

I understand the hotel in Tulsa is telling people they only have smoking rooms left. I called the hotel and was told there were non-smoking rooms available, just not in our block. He told me the only person who could fix this is the lady I've been dealing with so I will call her tomorrow. Stay calm, we'll get it fixed. :F_05BL17blowkiss:

I haven't tried to call the Tulsa hotel yet, but I did try the online reservation system, and it told me that nothing was available with the passcode and special room rate. pkmiller, will they be willing to consider opening more rooms? I would venture a guess that 40 rooms went FAST.

Hotel problems have been resolved.

ALL rooms will be non smoking after the remodeling so if you booked a smoking room but wanted a non-smoking room, you are okay. Also those who are coming in a day early or staying a day late need to call the local number for the hotel (918-582-9000) to get the special rate for each day. She apologized and said they always have problems like this when people use central reservations (800 number), probably because they don't know our agreement. If you paid a higher rate, call them back...we added another 20 rooms to the block.

Horray. I just got home & booked my room. I have non smoking with two queen beds. I called this number 1-918-582-9000 and had no problem. The girl knew exactly what I was talking about, when I told her I was with the OK Clay Aiken fan club. Got the fan rate of $89.00 plus tax for a total of $101.03. Free parking. FYI, She told me you have up to 6:00PM on the day of arrival to cancel without any penalty.

And I got mine this morning through the website, it went through without problems. YAY!

Now I just have to see if I have any co-horts in crime who are willing to be crazy with me.

ldyjocelyn, there are plenty of crazy co-horts in OK. I would love to meet all of you & watch you-all be crazy. I, of course, am ladylike, calm, and, oh, so very sweet. Not crazy, no matter what my sister has told you. heh, heh :rolleyes:

I was all set for my ride to Giford NH and was about to get my ticket come to find out my friend who I thought was so happy to see clay omg she was talking on the phone to someone and she did not hear me come in she was saying bad things about clay I was like what the hell and she hung up the phone and yes a big fight about clay a hater can hide very well how they feel but i caught her. so now i cant go just though i would let you all know my friend the hater :angry22:

I just want to make sure that everyone knows that if you want the special rate for more than one night, you need to call the hotel directly . When you call, make sure you are talking to someone at the hotel. If nobody is at the reservation desk they automatically transfer the call to the 800 number. If you have any problems let me know either here or by pm and I'll call the lady I have been dealing with at the hotel.

Bluebunny , I'm very sorry to hear that. I went through something similar but it was with my son. I thought he liked Clay and then all of a sudden I was some sicko for having all this Clay stuff in the house. It was shock so I know how you feel. I hope will come to the concert anyway...at least you know we love Clay! :F_05BL17blowkiss:

Another update:

Tulsa Pre-Party

The Tulsa pre party will be at the Crowne Plaza tentatively from 3:00pm-6:00pm.

The chef is working on the final menu so that is not finalized but it is called "The Will Rogers".

Until the menu is determined we do not have a set price but it will NOT be over $25.

Being that the food is buffet style you do not have to be there right at 3:00pm to eat.

There will be a auction that has been approved by The BAF, raffle and drawings. Not to mention free give aways.

More information plus menu and cost to come so please stay tuned.

A little more party info ….. or the longest post ever maybe … just want to clarify & point out some things.

Registration procedure

To reserve a spot for yourself at the party, send an email to okclayfans@cox.net. Cost to attend the party is $28, which must be received prior to the party …… you are not confirmed until your funds are received. :D

Payment options will be advised when you send in your email reservation ..... I believe PayPal is one of the options.

Now that we have the business out of the way, how about some of the fun stuff you can expect.

First & foremost there will be food, a buffet catered by the hotel chef, which will start around 4:30. Party starts at 3:30.

There will be a DJ … playing, of course, Clay Aiken music (a DJ playing Clay - what a concept). He will also act as our master of ceremonies.

We are going to have so much for you to look at … really !!! ….. with chances to win via raffle & silent auction &, well, there will be lots of items that are simply prizes …. you won’t have to do anything but be there to win… & keep track of your (winning) ticket. Yes, there will be freebies.

Speaking of prizes, we have 2 GRAND PRIZES: a Seagate 250-gig External Hard-Drive & a digital camera.

All proceeds from the $5 & $1 raffles & the silent auction go to the BAF.

I hope you noticed on the invitation that if you have taken photos at the Houston or Frisco concerts, you can bring your memory card & print out photos are our party … look at the middle of the invitation for exact details.

Hotel has Wi-Fi throughout …. a necessity for us I believe.

We have also arranged for transportation to & from The Historic Brady or The Old Lady on Brady as us Tulsans call it sometimes. It’s rumored to be haunted btw ... we were there one night recently & I could swear we saw Enrico Caruso.

There will be an air-conditioned, 32 passenger trolley available. Not confirmed yet but in the works is a 12 passenger horse drawn trolley. The Brady is approx 3-4 blocks from the hotel. Even though a short walk a ride might be nice …. it is July in Oklahoma after all. (No cost for these rides.)

As long as this is surely I haven’t left anything out, however, if by some chance I have I’m sure my friends will remind me & you will see me editing.
